Ok, I'm now gonna write a story, so here we go...
Shaikou
Chapter 1
All she could see was branches, branches swinging in her face. Faster and faster she ran, not looking over her shoulder for fear of slowing down. All of a sudden she came upon a cliff, with nowhere to run. She heard rustling behind her, and she whirled around to face what was gaining on her. She heard it calling her name. "Shaikou, Shaikou!" She closed her eyes, ready to die, when mysterious light made her open her eyes. Suddenly, she was awake on her couch, back in the town of Prestido.
"Shaikou, are you okay? I came down here and you were screaming like crazy." Shaikou looked over at her sister, Vikkida, who's brown hair was still messed up from sleeping. "Yeah, I'm fine, just that bad dream again." Vikkida looked worried, and Shaikou knew why. She had been having this dream for the past week, and it had been getting worse and worse. "Maybe we should call a psychiatrist or something," Vikkida suggested for the thousandth time this week. "No, I'm fine, really..." "Well, come on, we have to get ready for school."
Shaikou slowly got off the couch and went over to her dresser. She sighed, both dreading school, but also can't wait to get there. It got her mind off things. Shaikou lived with her sister, for once you were 14 you were kicked out of your parents house and forced to start making a living, beginning with 4 years of what the Uborian elves called "skill school," where you learn many skills so you can go on and get a good career in the Uborian civilization. Vikkida was 18 and on her last year of school before starting a career. Before skill school, though, kids 10-13 had to go a pre-skill school, so they wouldn't go into skill school without any knowledge at all. Shaikou grabbed a piece of toast, said good-bye to Vikkida, and went off to start her day.
