Alright, let me compose my thoughts.
Hardly any of you reading this will know Tatiana (or Steven), so I will explain a bit.
Tatiana used to go to my church a long ways back. She left for some reason around fifth or sixth grade and I only saw her again in freshman year, by way of another friend (Mikayla)... Along with her boyfriend, Steven. I sat at their table for a while, then eventually returned to my old stomping-grounds.
I occasionally saw them in the halls after that. Steven would always wave at me and make a point of getting my attention in a rather.. fond manner.
After freshman year ended and progressed into sophomore, I rarely saw them.
A few weeks before this one, I saw Tatiana several times without Steven. I later learned that she had broken up with him (or something).
Then... there was today.
I decided to take a different route out of science, given the fact that it was last hour and the halls would generally be empty as I was walking (I have a penchant for wandering the school when it's nice and quiet and vacant). So, I exited out of the door that would lead me deeper into the building, not straight out.
As I was walking through the halls, I saw Steven. He waved to me and caught up to me become I could jet past. We exchanged casual greeting and then suddenly he hits me with this bombshell (for me, anyway), all sweet and quiet...
"Hey, do you want to hang out sometime?"
Now, unless you know that I have never been in any sort of romantic relationship with a boy before and therefore I am not used to that sort of question, you would think that this is normal. Not for me. I immediately stutter slightly and come up with this gem of an answer:
"Uh, I'm a bit busy right now, lots of projects, you know... But, I'll figure something out and the next time I see you, I'll tell you."
Nooooo idea what I meant, I hardly see him at all. And I've only got two projects that I'm working on. Plus, I had (then) forgotten his name.
And it's not to say that I like the guy, I hardly know him. I just feel a bit guilty that I kinda.. rejected him like that. And, of course, I'm totally assuming, he could have meant something completely innocent.
But, given his history...
Yaaaaay, Erik and I actually talked again. In a nice manner, he didn't poke fun at me once. (Sorry for sounding like a child, we once were good friends and recently we hadn't been talking.)
