Okay, think back twards the begining of the year with the journal entry of my gloating about getting first chair.
Sam told me today that she THREW the audition so I could have first chair. This is how the conversation went:
Me: Are you coming to the band concert Mr. Cook?
Mr. C: Is it going to be good?
Me: Yeah, it's going to be good because I have a solo. *sarcastic, joking tone of voice*
Sam: You only have that solo because I gave it to you.
Me: No, you biffed your audition and you know it.
Sam: Only because I did it on purpose. I let you have first chair.
Everyone by now should know that I don't tolerate liars anymore. I've been sitting first chair on a lie. I wanted first chair knowing that I'm better than Sam, NOT on a lie.

Besides how you managed to obtain first chair doesn't matter nearly as much as how you performed after. You've done really well as first chair and you deserve it so don't let these things get to you.
