A sad myth
It all starts with a man named Aphaethon fighting all these people and he fights for fun. He fights Zeus, the thunder god, and wins. Zeus is really mad and tells Aphaethon not to tell anyone of the fight. Aphaethon tells everyone though and Zeus becomes enraged. Zeus plans a plot against Apahethon to make his life bitter. One day Aphaethon finds himself in a sanctuary full of nymps and nyriads. All of them are quite beautiful and are fond of Aphaethon. However, the shy and quiet nymph, Ionia, seems to be the one Aphethon is most interested in. Unfortunatly for him, Ionia did not love him and ran away from him when he drew closer to her.

He tried to get her gifts, do many acts of kindness to impress her, but nothing worked. One day They both found themselves alone near a lake. She was about to ran away but noticed that Aphaethon stoped chasing. Instead of acting like a brute, he opened his heart to her.

"Why do run away from me beloved one?" asked Aphaethon
"I do not wish to marry a crazed brute who fights for pleasure", said Ionia
"I assure you I am as sensitive as the wing of a butterfly", begged Aphaethon
"Lies, all of them, you men are all the same, you break the hearts of the ones who love you and leave them for death" cried Ionia. When Aphaethon heard this, he walked over to Ionia. This time she did not run, but tried to back away when Aphaethon tried to comfort her. She almost screamed when his hand touched her elegant face, but she stopped when his touch was gentle as a rose petal. He wiped her tears away and just hugged her.
"Why do you insist on me, why me out of all the others who are fond of you", asked Ionia
"Why do you ask such a silly question, its because I could see you were gentle and you have the most raident look", said Aphaethon. With this said he kissed her hand and walked away, but she quickly chased after him to give him a lustful kiss on the lips.

Zeus looking down from olympus had noticed the two lovers and hatched a plan. He sent down a curse upon Ionia. The next morning, Aphaethon heard Ionia scream and tried to find her.

"Ionia, Ionia, please where are you??", cried Aphaethon. Just then Zeus come down and told Ionia was gone.

"Gone, what do you mean gone?", asked Aphaethon.
"She has become an essence of wind, but i assure you, she is in quite alot of pain", said Zeus
"Please, anything to get her back, anything to stop her pain, just make it stop, take me if you must!", demanded Aphaethon. Zeus had dissapeard and had left Aphaethon by himself. He cried for Zeus to bring his beloved Ionia back, but he was left unanswered. Every now and them when the wind blew fast enough, he could hear the screams of his beloved Ionia. Years passed and Aphaethon had realized he was given immortality. This made things much more worse as the sounds of his beloved haunted him. As long as Aphaethon was alive, we can still hear the screams of dear Ionia, and Aphaethon still roams the earth this very day
