A life in horror
It’s amusing how we look on life. Our attitudes of the purpose of life. See that woman there taking her kids from soccer practice? Her husband abuses her. She has the bruises to prove it, but she wouldn’t dare report them. He would trace her every move once he got out of prison…..”No”…..she told herself. “I wouldn’t put my babies through that”. So yes she was trapped but at least Jenny and Max weren’t. She had every intention of dragging them to collage…… to freedom. She didn’t sleep at night afraid that Jenny would be raped again. When she did go to sleep she was ready to blame herself for the damage, her daughter, she also went to sleep afraid. As the years passed hope for her escaping had faded, after all Christi and Jim were the perfect couple. In 12 years time, Christi was brutally murdered. The children found her on the kitchen floor. With Jim. He was knelling over her crying. It was Jenny and Max’s worst Christmas ever. They were 23 and 21 years old. Christi had made her goal. Jenny and Max were both at collage and had begun living in freedom.
