Chapter 1
It was pouring rain down like an angry mother who throws temper tantrums at her children when they are misbehaving. Everything in the young girl’s vision was blurred by the sheet of continuous rain that battered her clothes and backpack which made them press heavily against her body. Her hair was no longer curly but straight due to the beating of the angry rain slashing at her hair. All in all, she was miserable yet mildly happy walking in the rain. It kept her mind off of more morbid things and gave her a reason to concentrate on something other than her grieving.
She continued to glare forward with the uncanny wit of a five year old determined to get that last cookie out of the cookie jar. Her eyes were set forward on her trek home from the prison cell they call High School. Everyday she went to “prison” and everyday she regretted going. The only thing that kept her at the insane asylum was the fact that she needed the education to go to college. Other than that, she wanted out of the hell hole and had no problem to openly admitting her hatred and sorrow for her “prison”.
Deep down inside she knew the reason why. She hated herself. And for hating herself she envied every girl at the perfect little school she attended. Almost everyone had pretty blonde hair. Almost everyone had something about them that made anyone take a second look. Of course, she thought differently about herself. The thought of her being somewhat interesting hardly crossed her mind and when it did it was by mild chance of her being happy. No, better to stay secluded and on her own, she had done well on her own most of her life, this didn’t change anything.
She looked up to see that the human technological device, known as a stop light, was glaring at the cars to stop, also causing her to yield until it turned green, allowing her to cross the street. She stopped and looked down to realize her shoelace was untied. Making a slight sigh, she decided to skip bending down to tie it and trek forward to home. Finally, the light turned green, allowing her to across the street safely (or as safely as anything could be) and took longer strides to try to make it home at a reasonable hour.
Today was a Monday, one of the most un-favored days of the week for anyone. Unfortunately she had Improv to attend to after school that kept her busy for a good hour. Usually by the time she was done with Improv, it would be four o’clock and time for her to return home. Sometimes she wish she never had to go home but that was an unrealistic dream she thought never to dream of. It only brought more false hope and pain.
Although she was quite often sad in her own thoughts, she did have happy moments. She had friends and she did have good time going out, frolicking about in the endless abundance of adolescence life gives us. She just wished some or most things were different.
After about 30 minutes of walking she arrived to her modest house that held a delicate feel to it. Its dainty brick walkway held stories of childhood wistfulness and gentle giggles of laughter. The color of the one story house was white with a window looking into the living room. Everything seemed perfect on the outside. It was a façade to keep people from seeing inside.
Opening the door, she felt the warm cozy air surround her stiff, cold body. 'Finally I'm home' she thought.

And thats where i leave you...i havent really written much but hopefully this story will progress...and no its not going to continue being so "emo". lol
