I wandered off on my own today, because Hotaru seems to be doing well enough and keeping herself out of trouble. I'm thinking it might be wise after her mission to just lock her in here and never let her back into Rokugan. Alas, if only that were possible.

Mother has called in each day to give me updates. Somedays I really envy Hotaru's ability to respond. It must be easy being a shugenja, having magic do all you want for you. At least, it would be easy if I wasn't strange like my sister. On that note, how the Hell does a Soshi mess up Whispers on the Wind? I have no idea why that spell seems to regularly backfire on her. For all her talent she really has some problems.

I can't wait until she's done here; I'm more than ready to head back home and see Amee again.
