I went to Borders today. I made the mistake of going with a full wallet. I only intended to spend about twenty bucks, buying the new Bleach and Penny Arcade books. I left with a receipt totaling fifty bucks. If I hadn't showed the ounce of restraint I had, it could have easily been sixty. But it was worth it. (Part of me really wanted "Wolves in the Walls" by Neil Gaiman. It's like a kids book, but weird.)
I bought a big book on a whim titled "Flight". It's a compilation of illustrated short stories, all done by different artists. It was really good. Some of the art was generic, and a few stories were boring as hell, but there were others that were absolutely beautiful and with really good stories backing them up. I think my favorite was "Iron Gate." Really freaking sad, but really freaking good. Overall, I'd call it the best "moment of weakness buy" I've made in a long time.
Other than that, the PA book had some concept art for "On the Rainslick Precipice of Darkness" otherwise known as the "Penny Arcade video game that no one knows s**t about."
Now I know s**t.
But I know most of you could really care less, so I won't bore you.

Apparently some FOX station in Milwaukee (?) had a huge special report on how Nintendo DS's Pictochat feature endangered our children by making it easier for ***** to find and kidnap them.
Problem the first. The DS wireless range is sixty five feet. One would think that if a ***** is standing in my driveway with a DS, he already knows where I ******** am, and at this point, all he can do is send me little doodles of phalluses.
Problem the second. No one uses pictochat. The most use it gets is when you first buy it, you check it out because you don't know what it is, see that it's a waste of time to use when you could easily just talk to the person that you are "picto-conversing"with due to the necessity of their close proximity, and then never touch it again. Even in the rare circumstance that someone would use it, there has to be another person actively using it as well, which is a waste of time. It's the equivalent of walking around with a Zune trying to find someone else with a Zune. Or, for those of you who aren't total nerds of the genus that I am, it's like two-no three- bolts of lightning striking the pigs flying out of hell, complaining to the ghost of christmas past about how ******** cold it's getting down there.
Problem the final- First it was violent video games, now the consoles themselves? Lighten up. This is getting ridiculous. You're grasping at straws. Straws with a fanbase roughly equivalent to the population of Los Angeles (and it's surrounding suburbs).

It's official. The first PVP online game for the Wii will be...
*drumroll*
... Pokemon Battle Revolution.
A little disappointing, I know. Oh, well.

I also found out about a bunch of movies that have been planned. Here goes.
Fantastic Four sequel w/ Silver Surfer (SS was supposed to get his own movie, not be paired with that team of ********. Dx)
Metal Gear Solid (please god, don't let it be directed by Uwe Boll. Everything he touches dies. BloodRayne? About Nazi Vampire Assassin Hookers. How do you ******** up an already ******** up premise like that? He somehow did.)
Wolverine (wow, didn't see that coming. *sarcasm*)
Magneto (wow, didn't see that coming. *little/no sarcasm*)
Carmen Sandiego (I almost wet myself.)
Baywatch (after Katrina and 9/11, haven't we suffered enough?)
Remake of 20k Leagues under the Sea. (no real thoughts on this. It's just on the list.)
Boondock Saints: All Saints Day (don't get too excited. This thing's been in development hell since the first one came out. That, and they don't expect Willem Dafoe to return.)
Duke Nuke'em (not really, but isn't it fun to think about? a video game-based movie that's even more laughably funny than Doom was? ^_^)
