It's a little disturbing walking around today. I actually stayed inside yesterday enjoying some tea and a little R&R, completely unaware of what was going on outside.
Today...it's like a giant orgy! I step outside and BAM someone kisses me and runs off! The hoodlum, I think, but no! EVERYONE'S DOING IT!!!
At first it seemed pretty disgusting. I mean, kissing random people? Then someone nearby said "What, we get these neat little heart necklaces for trying to brighten people's days!"
I guess some people get pretty depressed on V-day. I'm not exactly sure why though...I mean, it's just another holiday for people to spend their hard-earned gold on, right? But it seems a missive was put out to all of the people who enjoyed the holiday to try and cheer up those who hate it.
So everyone is either "Yay, I love everyone!!!" or "Boo, go away, let me cry alone and wallow in my misery." sweatdrop
I decided to join the "Yay" group, though honestly, it's free stuff! And every five kisses I give people, these half-naked flying babies come by and drop a necklace into my lap. I've already got quite a collection of them going! Even the "Boo" people were kissing each other to get their necklaces. Though they'll probably go back into their homes and write dark, depressing poetry in their journals.
Why set aside one day to either be super happy or sad? How is this day any different from the other 364?
PS: I need a new signature for my journal. Hrm...
