GaaLee/LeeGaa Fanfic Part 1
Me: Yeaaaah, its meh first fanfic~! whee I've started writing stories, but I've never been that good at writing them, so I stop when I get bored... cry Well, I hope this one is a success. Enjoy reading it! biggrin Oh yeah, please comment! ^///^ I like to hear peoples opinions when I put my work in the open...

“Gaara-niisan!” a sandy brown haired boy yelled “A little help?”
A boy with crimson hair, a black t-shirt with a purple turtleneck underneath and a pair of ripped up jeans was lounging on the couch reading a manga. An Icha Icha Paradise manga to be exact.
“Yeah, yeah.” He said waving an arm “As soon as I find out what—‘
“Gah! Now would be better!” the boy was now barely hanging on to the window frame. He had been trying to hang up the curtains to their new house, but the ladder had fallen over.
A blonde girl walked into the room carrying a magazine. “Kankuro!” She yelled as she saw the situation he was in. She threw down the magazine and ran over to help him. Gaara was still on the couch reading. He had finished his chapter and glanced at the magazine the girl had dropped, walked over and picked it up. It was titled “America’s Top 10 Hottest Guys”. He wasn’t interested, so he threw it back down.
“Gaara! Will you please help us?” the girl yelled from across the room. Kankuro had gotten down and was now trying to put up the other curtains.
“Aren’t you capable of doing this yourself, Temari?” Gaara asked sarcastically walking over to them. He grabbed a curtain and pulled it over the window.
“Yes, but it will be faster this way, and its your living room too!” Temari replied while grabbing the other side of the curtain Gaara was holding and doing the same.
“Hey, you know the school uniforms came in yesterday, right?” Kankuro asked while still concentrating on the curtains.
“Uh…no. Why didn’t you say anything?” Temari frowned.
“Ugh! Uniforms? They are such a pain! Why can’t we just wear what we want?!”
“Jeez, Gaara. When did you become such a whiner? You’re starting to sound like—“
“Shikamaru?” Kankuro interrupted.
“He’s just one of those internet boyfriends!” She said while blushing and looking away.
“Riiight…So, Gaara! When are you gonna get yourself a lover?”
“The day you finally get one. The day PIGS FLY.”
“Ha ha.” Kankuro laughed sarcastically. “I’m serious.”
“Me too. I don’t need anyone to be happy…”
“We should probably try our uniforms on now. Other whys, we won’t have time to exchange them if they don’t fit.” Temari said while opening the box.
“Why now? We have a ton of time.”
“School starts tomorrow, Gaara! We don’t have any time, and its already 7:30!”
“I don’t sleep, remember?”
“Yeah, but other people do! I’m not driving to the office at 3:00 in the morning!”
“Then Kankuro can do it! He has a license!”
“Oh no, don’t bring ME into this. Mine fits.”
“…what?” Temari turned her head. Kankuro had his uniform on. It was a gray vest over a white long-sleeved shirt. There was also a tie on it. The pants went to half way down the ankles and they were the same black color as the tie.
“…I am NOT wearing that.” Gaara said pointing to Kankuro’s shirt and looking at Temari.
“Its not that bad.” Temari said while wincing.
“Whatever. I’m leaving.” Gaara suddenly changed his mind, grabbed his book and walked out the door.
“Hey! Where are you going?!” Temari yelled while looking out the door.
“For a walk! Is that such a big deal?!” He yelled from the other room. He walked to the closet, grabbed his jacket that was the same crimson color as his hair, and walked out the front door with his manga. The door slammed and a picture fell off the wall.
“Argh!” Temari yelled in frustration. “What the hell is wrong with him?”
“I don’t know.” Kankuro said staring out the window.

Gaara was walking down the sidewalk with his eyes in his book. It was the beginning of autumn; his favorite season. Even though the trees were just beginning to lose their leaves, it was still pretty cold; not cold enough to freeze to death, but not warm enough for shorts. That’s exactly how he liked it.
A breeze ruffled his short, spiky hair and the leaves in the park where he was walking. Realizing it was getting colder, he threw on his jacket, took a deep breath and exhaled. He liked how he could see his breath when he took one.
A raven flew out of a tree and over Gaara’s head. He looked up and saw its beautiful feathers glistening as it beat its wings. His mild expression turned to sadness as the bird flew out of site.
WAM! Gaara felt like he was getting hit by a car as something struck him. His sight darkened as he fell toward the ground, which was covered with a thick coat of mud. He slid a ways until a small pile of leaves stopped him.
“Gah! I am sorry! I am so clumsy.” A panicky voice said.
Gaara couldn’t tell who it was, but he knew it was a boy.
‘I’m gonna kick this guys a**.’ He thought as he opened his eyes. The street light blurred his vision and he now had a major headache. He felt himself being lifted up by his arm while he lifted himself up. Gaara was cold and wet, but mostly annoyed.
“Are you alright?” the boy asked in a friendly tone.
“Yeah…but watch where you’re going once in awhile!” He started to yell while inspecting the damage to himself. He rubbed his head as it throbbed.
“Eheh…I am sorry…” the boy replied.
“Don’t worry about it…” Gaara replied while looking up. He focused his eyes. The boy had silky black hair with an orange and green striped hat on. Huge eyebrows. A long-sleeved green turtleneck and a light brown vest covered his torso. He also wore a pair of brown pants with mud stains on the knees.
‘He must have fallen before. I’m not surprised he bumped into me.’ Gaara thought.
“Uh…hi. My name is Lee.” He said holding out his hand, waiting for Gaara to shake it. “What is yours?”
He stared at Lee’s hand with a blank expression.
‘Why is he being so nice?’
Usually, when somebody met him, it wasn’t exactly like meeting a normal person. He had the ‘love’ kanji permanently etched into the left hand side of his forehead and his eyes were surrounded by black rings from lack of sleep. Insomnia. It made him irritable all the time. He hadn’t had a good night’s sleep since he was 6 years old. That was when the only person he trusted had finally shown his true colors. He hadn’t trusted anyone since…
“I need to go” Gaara said picking up his book. Lee took back his hand. He looked worried.
“Uh…okay. Sorry to have bothered you.” Lee said while quickly bowing.
“It’s not a big deal.” Gaara replied. He was being unusually calm. He normally would have thrown a fit, but this guy was different…
“See you.”
“Yeah.”
Gaara walked home with soggy pants and a soggier book. ‘He had friendly eyes’ He thought as he turned the corner. ‘but he’s such a loser…’
