Sitting here, waiting
For my turn to show
That I can really do it
I can, I know
It’s my time to show
What I really can do
Just sitting here waiting
Don’t know what to do
I’m up in a second
Fear circulates through me
What if I mess up?
Will everyone boo me?
More nervous by the second
It’s freaking me out
Giving me nightmares
Messing up, they’re about
I’m reassured
“You’ll do fine” People say
I hope they’re right
I’ve gotta say
I get up
It’s my turn to show
That I really can do it
I can, I know

As time passes, I find the world, myself, and the people I love changing for better and for worse. Some would say change is good, others that it is bad. I think change is as it is, and so it happens.
