Poetry/Songs/Writings
Pretty much I'ma gunna use this journal for poetry and song lyrics. Poetry I wrote, poetry I like. Songs I wrote, songs I like. Yups. And of course the ocasional short story. :]
Shuffling amongst the crowd she watches as everyone passes, her eyes are lost and hollow as the scan their vauge expressions. Her body swayed with the cold breeze that brushed against the surface of the landscape, indicating her footing wasn't sufficent.

She had no real direction, no real purpose and no meaning. She was just there, just who she was. Nothing special, no one heroic, no one amazing and talented. As her pale lips parted, a wisp of cold white smoke escaped her lips her entire body seeming to shake from the inside out. Shifting her shoulders, she slung her backpack over one of her somewhat broad shoulder making her way towards the entrance of the campus.

Her hoodie, black, was damp from the cold sprinkle showering down from the grey sky above and her golden blonde hair was tangled and sticking to her face. The cold had brought a pink hue to her nose and cheeks, her usually glossy lips turned in to an emotionless line. With heavy footsteps she sloshed through the muddy earth, making her way towards a secluded area beneath a thin dying young tree and with a heavy exhale she heaved her arm forward before tossing her backpack to the ground with a loud thump.

Shuddering she ignored her mud splotched shoes and pant leggings, her somewhat heavy body lowering to the ground. As her bottom met the cold, wet, and muddy ground she shivered as the cool sensation spiked through her sending shivers up and down her spine. Drawing her knees up to her chest she coiled her arms around her shins, hugging her legs to her before resting her chin on both of her scabbed knees revealed by two holes purposely cut in to her pants.

One by one the kids disappeared in to their cars of all shapes and sizes, their parents greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile before pulling out and driving off. Before long the school grounds were desolated, leaving nothing but the bitter cold rain and the soft whispers of the wind swirling amongst the campus.

Suddenly she released a bitter, soft chuckle, her shoulders trembling with the cold laughter. "She didn't come..." She murmered her voice being overcome by a sudden downpour of frozen rain. "Of course not...mom's not coming...why do I even bother?" Nuzzling her face in to her knees, she attempt to gather warmth to attempt to destroy the numb, tingling feeling the cold had elicited within her cheeks.

Inhaling shakily, her eyes in which were smeared visibly with black eyeliner drifted close, clenching and blocking out the scenery. She wanted to fade away, just like a dead leaf being carried off in the wind. She wanted to disappear like the sunlight had hours ago...and yet all she could do...was sit there and cry. Warm salty tears trailed down her cold, flushed cheeks leaving behind a gleaming trail.

The left over evidence of her tears practically froze on her cheeks, an ocasional hiccup and a soft sob bubbling from her lips. But the now hard falling rain hid her sorrow. Like mentioned, she was nothing special, she was nothing amazing and beautiful. She was nothing. She was a nobody.
