Character(s): Kyouku Type: Short story Mood: Depressed
The dark sky is fogged by menacing grey clouds that cover the cresent moon in a misty veil. The air smells damp and the ground is kissed by a few layers of cold rain falling steadily. The drops patter seemingly-endlessly against the soil which softens it to a soft mud, but not exactly enough for a boot to sink in. Kyouku trudges along a dirt path, enduring the shower and its quick rays of lightning in the distance. There was nothing but the sound of the pouring rain to comfort her along the path. Her pale blue eyes scanned the area...until it was that one little rock that had ruined her outfit. Her foot toppled over the pebble and she was thrown to the ground like a bully shoving a schoolchild to the floor. The dirty soil embraced her jacket and face, washing away her faint blue makeup. She lifted herself up slowly, examining the mud now caked onto her delicately painted fingernails. Once she rose, a gust of freezing-cold wind slammed against her, as if urging her to go on. Kyouku continued strolling down the path, all alone with wind whispering in her ear, who shivered with a lonesome tear running down her cheek.
