Pumping hearts burn bright,
and the stars bleed fire,
all I wanted was a second chance to live.
Cut it up & spit it out,
my walls all fall down for you.
I hate me for letting go of you.
This bullet's painted in pink,
and it's lethal,
I wash this blood away,
let's forget the pain,
The lipstick rubbed off,
when you kissed her in the rain.
A nightmare to live in..
a complex dream we weave,
We were so perfect...
why arent we perfect?
Your skin brushed mine,
and I exhaled real oxygen for the very first time,
we'd be as one.
The moon stared at us with envy,
like even she knew it was meant to be.
What happened to us?
Where did we go?
We both know I dont deserve you,
& we both know you had to leave,
my heart has fears unspeakable,
and I stitch up my wounds,
the laceration bleeds dry.
We let go of each other's hands,
and I open my eyes to the sun,
it's not like we won't feel again.
But you made me so complete,
you stole the fear from me,
color faded from my lips,
i'm so cold now,
this algor is as much a part of me as you were.
We blend, we mold, we create a new person,
Put another notch in your belt,
another trophy in your case.
