Why I Hate You.
Don't underestimate my anger, hatred, and bitterness.
Why 1984 will HAUNT US FOREVER.
This bullshit is why we will be invaded by China.

This goes out to all PC hardware manufacturers: Do. Better. Cause this shits' ridiculous.

I'm ******** sick of getting my hands cut up every time i want to do work on my computer. I'm sick of worrying about whether or not I'm about to break my goddamn board in half when I install RAM. I'm sick of squinting into my case with a flashlight to see if I installed my front panel jumpers. And motherboard face plates need to die.

It is 2007, for ******** sake. Why are we still using technology that was s**t back in 1980? Why am I trying to snap a face plate in place without bending it? Why am I practically jumping on the goddamn CPU heatsink clip like an overstuffed suitcase to get it to lock into place? Why is RAM so ******** difficult to force into position? Why is ANY of this an issue?

ZIF sockets were invented, when, over ten years ago?

PCIe replaced AGP practically overnight, when all benchmarks show that it's performance gain is mild at best.

CPUs are performing at rates that were unthinkable five years ago.

Why in the blue ******** am I playing "dodge the jagged razor's edge" whenever I reach inside my case?

Why must it be. So. Hard? rolleyes

I know what you mean, but at least with the slightly more expensive ATX cases you can get ones with smoothed edges. When I replaced my case a few weeks ago I got one with those, and it's much better for the hands.

Heh, I know someone who killed their mainboard by trying to force (perfectly correct) RAM into the slot because the slot design sucked and the tabs wouldn't click into place sweatdrop

I think there has been a lot of different case standards released, but as they are different and non-compatible with ATX (both board and case) it seems nobody wants to take them on. There was one with much better airflow but that vanished into non-acceptance. I think the next form factor will be the one that supports ATX boards and any new types of board.
