This is my attempt to set up a holt, as based on the comic of Elfquest by Richard and Wendy Pini (if this doesn't ring a bell, google it, k?). The basic premise of a holt is that a group of elves, of the short, four fingered variety are living together in some ancient tree, riding wolves, rolling around in furs and bickering with each other. The premise of this holt I'd like to make slightly different, simply because I always wanted to set up a B/C shop based on Elfquest. In the end it'd be wonderful to have a lot of holts in different environments.
If you feel like you want to participate, please post a comment in this journal entry describing your character, both personality and motivations, as well as appearance and potential magic. Once there are six or seven character around, we can gingerly try to guild RP with each other and establish our relationships with each other. If it seems like we all jive and there is a good dynamic of characters developing, then I will go on and try to expand the number of players, maybe set up the true shop at that point. Please do not apply if you do not feel like you have the time to RP regularly. But you can still post your ideas for the settings and what you hope an Elfquest shop could be. If I like them, then you are totally in the shop whenever I finally set it up - aka you are guaranteed a character. Or I'll draw something not too elaborate for you as a thank you!
Okey. Well, it's a bit bare bones but let's post this thing and see what happens!
EDIT#1: Oh yeah, we can also just set up a wolf rider holt for starters, again, about 10 people, there you can just submit typical wolfrider personas. And I'll jsut see what seems to have more interest - the spaceship grand idea or just a nice cozy holt setup.
EDIT#2: There shall be preservers, yes of course. And I have switched the plot idea - now I'd like to go all post-apocalyptic, but still on the world of two moons. The ida is that a tribe of wolfriders had been wrapped up in wrap stuff b/c their forest had burned and they were waiting for it to re-grow. Yet when they wake up they realize that they are no longer in their forest but their cocoons have been moved deep inside a lone mountain. They now have to explore the forests surrounding them, filled with new and strange creatures, as well as explore the mountain itself further, since apparently it was made into a storage area for elf cocoons, but a skilled rockshaper is necessary to find the caches inside the mountain. Why this was done and by whom? Time will tell. But being buried inside a mountain is a pretty safe way to survive nuclear fallout.
EDIT#3: So I am totally going to go set up an interest thread, now, but I first need to go and read how those interest threads are supposed to look like. So gimme time.
