Work on the bracers has commenced.
We have opted out of dwarven maille, because the size of the rings did not allow that much weaving. We have now decided upon double maille, it should still be relativlely heavy and still have the familiar style of english 4-1
Here's an example of double maille: http://www.mailleartisans.org/articles/articledisplay.cgi?key=8277
I already have a sheet about 7x5 in size, after only one day...and it's not over till I crash.
For the liner I'm going to use some lightweight canvas so it has some strength, but its color is an off-white. So I'm going to use some real light black fabric I have and sew it on with matching black thread.
I have also purchased black nylon cord for attaching the maille to the liner, and for the draw strings.
Well, back to work.
