OK. Instead of putting this on a forum, where the only response I'll get is "You're stupid", I'm going to put it here in my journal, where most people would prefer it.
I'd like to say this: I am a Christian.
And here are my answers to some of you I-hate-Christians sort of people:
Claim #1: Christianity can't be true because Christians are intolerant of others.
Answer: First of all, what do you mean by "intolerant"? Tolerate means to respect. I respect Atheists, Buddists, Gays, Hindus, Deists, Evolutionists, and every other kind of "-ists" out there. I just simply disagree with them. When people say that I'm "intolerant" of gays, that's not true. One of my friends is gay. I don't hate him. He's my friend. I just simply disagree with him. Second of all, there are actually some Christians who are intolerant of other's beliefs. But it's unfair to generalize and say that all Christians hate everyone.
Claim #2: Christianity isn't true because God created evil.
Answer: What do you mean by evil? Let me ask you, What is cold? What is dark? Cold is a word made by humans meaning the absense of heat. Likewise, dark is a word made by humans meaning the absense of light. So what is evil, you ask? Evil is the absense of God. All the evil things done in the world were done in the absense of God. And when Christians do evil things, they weren't following God at that point. This leads me to the next claim.
Claim #3: Why does God let us do evil things?
Answer: Because God gave us total Free Will. Why? Because we'd be robots if we didn't have free will. And plus God gave us a way out: Jesus Christ.
I'm going to finish this some other time. But right now I'm gonna go play some video games.
