I've never really felt I had any gender confusion issues. I've always known and acknowledged that I am female. Well, aside from the the whole aversion to pink, make-up, and skirts/dresses, as well as wearing guys' pants and boxers....

So, I have realized that although I am female, I'm not a girl. Yes that's right. Female but not a girl.

The world makes more sense now. YAY! 4laugh

I haven't posted since summer... You peoples reading this haven't heard about NDK and my first year in college and my adventure in having a roomate for all of one week before she was scared off my pictures of J-Rockers... Unfortunately, I don't really have time to write about all that as I'm supposed to be studying for not one, but two midterms tomorrow, so you just get this little preview entry thing.

I got back from a week-long trip to Japan yesterday. Man, yesterday was really long. It was long enough for me to have 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, two dinners, and half a box of pocly for dessert. These were actual meals mind you, not just snack-meals. Man is flying over the international date line confusing. O_o

So anyway, I could start talking about all the things I did in Japan and such, but seeing as I'm lazy, I'm going to wait until I get the photos we took developed and make a photobucket account that people can go to and see all the pics for themselves. 3nodding

After successfully making plushies for two of my friends, I decided to atempt another for myself. ^^

Maybe someday day I'll make a version of him with his staff...

At last I am free from the clutches of high school! As of this past saturday, I graduated along with like, 420-ish other people. Apparently there was a low drop-out rate this year...
Somethig interesting that happened though was that it was raining. It rained so hard they had to postpone the ceremony twice, so instead of graduating at 9 in the morning, it didn't happen until 7:30. And instead of being on out football field, it was held inside the local university's sports arena place. And by then, it had stopped raining. The thing is, our school hasn't had to postpone a graduation ceremony due to rain in like, 34 years I think they said. (Do you remember if that's what it was, ix?)

So anywho, I'm FREE!

So yeah, I had a karate tournament on Saturday, and it went really well. biggrin
I actually came back with two trophies. Not one, but TWO! I haven't gotten any trophies at the tournament since becoming a high rank in an adult division. (The divisions are divided by belt rank and age group. My first tournament as a high rank was also my first tournament as an "adult" as I turned 17 exactly one week before that tournament.)
So anyway, I got 3rd in sparring, which lemme tell you is not an easy feat. Brown belt women are viscious. eek
My other trophy, of which I am uber-proud whee , was a 4th place (only 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st places are announced, as they are the only ones who get trophies) in the weapons event, which was a fairly large division. Unlike my sparring division, which was only brown belts ages 17-34 (after age 34 you're considered a "senior" O_o), my weapons division was for brown and black belts, ages 13 and up. There was a total of about 18 people, I think. So getting 4th out of 18 ain't half bad, especially when competing with black belts. Oh, for the event one has to perform a kata (aka a "form," sort of a series of choreographed moves, except we have particular katas for particular weapons. One usually can only make up their own once they get into the degrees of black belt) with a weapon. I used nan chakus. They're fun. 3nodding
What was really fun is the chucks (er....chakus?) form I did has some kicks, and I'm really good at kicking high. (I can kick above my own head ^_^ ) When the sensei in charge of judging called my name for fourth, he told me I was able to place because my kicks were so high. I was really surprised and happy to place at all, as I have never placed in the weapons event.
So yeah, I'm still really happy about it all. xd

Oh, and I'm still not feeling unlazy enough to write about my trip to Disney World. Maybe I'll do that this weekend..... maybe....
