Little anecdotes and stories from my everyday life.
We Were Born To Make History!
Journal Post #3- Sunday, December 4 2016
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hello once again, my dear journal! Wow, it has been quite some time since my last entry, so I'll try to update more often. This really got out of hand hoo boy, where do I even start? I suppose I'll start back in October.
So October went well. I finished up watching Ouran Highschool Host Club soon after my last entry. I was in our school's musical, so I went to rehearsal for that most nights. We had a rehearsal on Halloween, but a few of my friends skipped to go trick or treating. They got in trouble the next day. I went to school as witch for Halloween and saw a lot of cool other costumes! So, not much happened in October; moving on to November.
November seemed pretty long even though it wasn't. Musical wrapped up and all three performances went really well. I played the part of a (male??!!) Chinese gambler, which was a very racist part to play- especially as the white person that I am. Anyways, my grandparents came to town to watch. I didn't get to see them much because of cast parties and deconstruction of set, but they seemed to enjoy it. The cast parties were really fun as always. I mostly stayed to the side or by the fire, usually stuffing my face. However, one of my guy friends lent me his jacket to stay warm and stayed with me, so we've been out 'together' a few times.
First, we went to a coffee shop. He ordered hot chocolate or something because he doesn't really like coffee. I feel kind of bad for taking him to a coffee shop, but he said he didn't kind. Our conversation was mostly silence, but he's really good at telling stories when he does talk. Everything went well... until I spilled my americano all over the table, my lap, and the floor! sweatdrop He helped me clean it up and we laughed it off, but I lost so much coffee crying ! He then had to leave to go to practice for theater.
About a week later, we went bowling. I've never been good at bowling and he's on the local bowling team. See the contrast? I got mostly gutter balls while he got almost two hundred points a game! Obviously not fair rolleyes But that didn't stop me from trying my best! He reassured me that I did ok and that I wasn't a failure or a disappointment. We were going to get coffee afterwards, but the coffee shop was closed. He drove me home after that and we haven't gone back out together since. We've tried to make plans, but we've both been really busy.
So relationships aside, I finished my last anime. I watched all 52 episodes of Tokyo Mew Mew in about a week which was really a wild ride for me. I loved the character development and the interactions between characters. I'd give it a 7/10 for being one of the better magical girl animes that I've watched (even with my nonexistent standards.) After that, I started watching Yuri on Ice, which I've really been enjoying quite a lot! It's my first sports anime and I've got to say that I'm really pleased with it!! However, with there only being one episode a week I need something else to watch in between. I've started watching one called Aikatsu, which is an idol shojo for younger girls, but once again- I don't have standards sweatdrop I've also started to watch Fairy Tail, just in case I get bored with Aikatsu.
Ok, so next to anime, I've really been getting into yo-yos lately. Some may even say that I'm addicted. It's one of the only things I've been researching lately and I now know more than ever about the art of yoyo. The others at my school have started calling me the yo-yo girl. I've actually made it popular and now a lot of people are coming to school with yo-yos. I've asked for a new yo-yo for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, it's now December! I've been listening to a lot of Christmas music lately, but my family still needs to put up the tree. I baked christmas cookies yesterday, which are now all gone and I've started making plans to go carolling. But first, dinner!
I've been cooking a lot lately, which is weird cause I really don't like to eat. Last week I made katsudon (pork cutlet bowls) and chicken philly sandwiches. They actually tasted really good, so maybe I'll cook more! I know I'll need the experience once I'm out of the house and into the world on my own.
Well, I should probably go. Talking about food is making me hungry, so I'll go make some dinner. emotion_omnomnom yum_burger I'll update soon!
Byebye!
