Here is a story I was forced to make, its short, but whateva: There was nothing different about this day. There was no sun out, yet the rain never came. The cumulous clouds that hung above this bleak town merely mocked me, for I loved the rain, what little I got. It reminded me of her, the one girl that understood me for what I really was. She loved the rain also, would dance in it every time it occurred during school hours, it did not matter if she was late. Yet, something happened to her, something that I could never forgive myself for. It was just another day like this one; there was less students walking around, though. This was probably because supposedly there was a bug going around, real nasty, it was said to be a sort of chicken pox, measles mix. Anyhow, I was walking around during lunchtime, as I always do; there is not a whole lot of stuff for me to do at lunch, since I do not eat anyway. It began to rain, slowly at first, but then it picked up. Visibility was at an all time low, and yet, I could still see her beauty through the rough precipitation. She was standing there, in front of the cafeteria entrance; she seemed like an angel, not affected by the rain. She was twirling around, too happy to care what people were saying about her. I wanted to go over and say something, but she looked like she was in a trance, and I was afraid I would brake it. She never knew my true feelings, nor will she ever know, I am afraid that her friendship will be no more if I did that. Anyway, she was dancing to her hearts content, and while I was watching her, something happened. I did not know if it was an earthquake or a bomb exploding, but whatever it was, the ground shook and I seemed to be the only one affected. I made haste to my locker, I always kept a little something handy just in case the situation called for it. On my way to the locker, I passed by a small group of football players, they all looked at me and said a gentle “what’s up” and kept conversing amongst themselves. I tried out for the team, did not make it, but seemed to be the fastest one on the team. It did not really upset me too much, since I found my true calling, cross-country and track. Yet, all the football players remembered me and I soon became decently popular. Anywho, back to the plot, after the confrontation with the jocks, I found myself looking at my locker, just about three hundred feet away….yeah, our campus is a little large. I started to feel the tremors again, so I started a light sprint, but was interrupted half way there. Breaking through the ground, a demon the size of the Lincoln Memorial stood between me and my locker. Its face was that of a little boy, yet no eyes in its sockets. It had claws like a wolverine, and its chest was bare, no skin, no bones, all there was was a black void where they should have been. It was holding a scythe, and on its back was a gun the size of a full-grown human being. A cloak the color of sand was the only article of clothing on its body. All it did was stare at me, for the longest time, exhaling what looked like dust. The halls were now filled with the children that went to that school, all were gazing upon the monster that stood merely ten yards away from me. Then I saw her, she was still filled with immense beauty, even though she was filled with fear. I stared at her for a second, wondering if she was going to come out here to help me, but then I remembered that she knew what I was capable of, but she was the only one. The others didn’t come to my aid out of fear, tch, feel the love. Then it happened, the demon began to come at me, its movement sprang the crowd of innocents into a state of aw and fear. It sliced at me with the force of a fright train, but just one problem, I wasn’t there. By the time it hit the ground, breaking the cement into pieces, I was already behind it making a dash towards my locker. I motioned to my friend Phillip, luckily he always had a spare wrench in his pockets… I never thought to ask, but I was glad he did. He tossed it over to me and as I caught it, the demon turned to look straight at me. I finally reached the locker, and I never really remembered the combination, thus the need for the wrench. I bashed the lock off with the seemingly useless wrench, and removed the objects that were held within. As I turned to face my opponent, another shock went through the crowd. I was holding my baby, my second love. In my hands was a three inch in wide, eight foot long, sword. Don’t even ask how I got it into there, it was hard, and time taking, plus nobody could see it. I held the sword in my right hand, as my other hand was held behind my back. The demon now started to step closer to me. I didn’t have any intention to let it get close to the innocent bystanders, this fight was for me and me alone. I darted at it, never taking my eyes off of it. I leaped at a forty-two degree angle at the blasphemy to God standing before me. It never had a chance, I came down upon it before it even had a chance to raise its scythe above its would-be knee. I cut it clear in two, never had a cleaner slice. Everyone watched as its body fell apart and evaporated into the air. Everyone, except Claire, the love of my life. She was no where to be found. I jumped to the top of the nearest building, still no Claire. And then I saw it, a demon no larger than the last one, hoping away from building to building. I was about to go after them, but they were gone by the time I looked back. She never left my side, I was in some bad times when I started that school, it was a new experience to me, but she still never left my side. Even when I told her what I do, what is out there, she never ran. I promised I would protect her, she got scared when I told her, but I said I wouldn’t let anything happen to her, but I did, and now I must correct my mistake. I know these things don’t kill their captives, they keep them alive for forty days and forty-one nights. So I have that long to find her, and thus, I will have to travel into the pits of Hell. With only Viola, my lovely sword, at my side, I must defeat these beasts, and bring her back, even if it means I have to kill Lucifer himself. This is my mistake, and I intend to fix it
