As the embers of last night
burns, the ashes scatter all around.
Curls of smoke rise up to meet
demonic visage with
ebonite eyes. A mighty
flash of thunder breaks as he
gazes into my eyes. A smoky
haze clouds up my vision as
I start to dance to music,
just out of reach. The spell is broken, my
knight has come. They fight and dance,
limbs coiling together. A cry spills from
my lips. "No, stop! Enough
No more" Eyes filled with remorse
opens and flash, calling and
pleading me to not forget. He
quavers and cries. Lashing out to me, his
rage forgotten, as
silver drops spills from his eyes.
The maiden stills, drops to the ground,
uncaring of the mud and rain. She whispers in
vain, words of valour and pride. The memory lost, a man
wash away the pain and the guilt, a
xylograph cluthed in his hands. The brown
yellowish wood, a captor of moment in time, as a
zephyr blows away the mist of last night.
