the kumite plans are finished short of fine tuning and the setting of time and place, and so i decided that perhaps i should create rules for a potential weapons competition. i will do so here.
Weapon styles allowed:
sword
staffs(any length. thus this group encompasses kalisticks/escrimasticks, bo, jo, etc.)
lance/spear
dagger/knife/sai
kama
sectional weapons(nunchaku, three section staff)
Weapons allowed:
shinai
bokken
staffs(any length. thus this group encompasses kalisticks/escrimasticks, bo, jo, etc.)
sectional weapons
small trainers (wooden/rubber knives, kama, etc.)
loose weapons trainers(rubber meteorhammer, foam manrikigusari trainer, pvc/bamboo sectional chainwhips)
NOTE: ALL WEAPONS THAT MAY CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE (STAFFS, SPEARS, SECTIONALS, ETC.) MUST BE FOAMCOVERED FOR SAFETY REASONS. ALL LOOSE WEAPONS MUST BE OF FOAM, RUBBER OR BAMBOO/PVC TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY. SPEARMAN WILL USE FOAM COVERED STAFFS WITH ONE END MARKED TO REPRESENT THE SPEARTIP.
