She wanted to run
To spread her wings and fly away
Away Away from the pain
That she was fighting inside
She was tired of that pain
That she told no one
That she was dieing on the inside
She felt no physical pain
The emotional was enough
Enough to barely sustain
And her nightmare grew darker
The days no longer gave her warmth
The night had grew colder by the day
It had taken over
Covering everything in a black cloak
Her eyes couldn't adjust
Somehow it kept growing darker
And she started to shirk
She didn't know who to trust
Everything died at her touch
When he left
She fell crumpled on the floor
She didn't want to show how much
How much she hurt
She would shed no tear
At least not 'til he left
He left her broken
Shatter there
To pick up the shattered remains
He walked out the door
As he walked away
She locked the door to her heart
