Appearance: Zaree has blue eyes and brown hair, which she generally keeps up in a bun or held back in a braid. She stands about 5'3" tall. She has a tendancy to walk without wearing sandals, so it might not be a surprise to see her in a clean kimono with dusty feet when she travels.
Personality: While Zaree is not really an outgoing person, she is generally easy to befriend. She is rather formal and doesn't tend to rush things. She can be content simply to watch the stars as she sinks into her thoughts.

Martial Arts Styles: "(Tsuru-Ryu): Using a Katana, Wakizashi or the two simultaneously, this martial art translates to the Crane Sword Style. The name of this style is meant to represent the idea that the swords of a samurai daisho are used to maintain peace. The crane is symbolic of peace and as such is the namesake for the school. Requiring a great deal of flexibility and insight, a practitioner of this style must learn to react quickly when dealing with an opponent, efficiency in striking, and often uses techniques not seen in other kinds of swordsmanship (such as striking with the flat of the blade to knock an opponent unconscious)." This is the school of arts that Zaree is learning through Koji Murasame, though she is far from proficient.
Weapons and Equipment: Zaree's oldest weapon is her longbow, which she learned to use when she was a little girl.
Though learning to fight with a sword, Zaree's training is with a bokken and she has yet to chose a sword of her own.

Special Abilities: Zaree's particular strength is not a physical ability, but an artistic one. Studies of painting masters, applied practice and a natural patience and desire to draw have led her to be a skilled artist.

History: Zaree's past is formed of many memories of different travels. The longest period Zaree has stayed in one place is for 4 years, in Hakata where Zaree was born. Later, Zaree stayed roughly three years in a small village named Kakune but hard times set her again on the road when she was 15. Zaree's path took her across the path of a warrior named Koji Murasame. Not wanting to rely solely on the protection of groups of travelers she joined, Zaree became Koji's student to learn the art of the sword. She fell in love with her friend and teacher and settled in his village, Murasame-chou.
