In truth, I was never interested in creating my very own profile because it seemed like I'd have to dedicate a lot of time to learn just how to create a profile theme. I was satisfied with a signature banner whenever I'd be involved in an RP, or the little art work I’d received in the past. It never occurred to me to ask any of my friends if they could create a profile layout for me until, one day, I accidentally clicked on my foster sister's profile and marveled at her creation. OK, so perhaps it may not seem impressive to you, but I quite liked it and eventually received a background and instructions on how to embellish my own profile layout! Whoopee! So, there it is, thanks to Daphne Than … and I am still working on it whenever I have the time to spare.
Edit: Right, before I forget again, here's the Fool's poem quoted in the background profile image (for those who can't read it well there). It marks the beginning of Chapter 35 in the book called ''Fool's Fate'', the third book of The Tawny Man trilogy by Robin Hobb.
Quote: Chapter 35 - RESUMPTION
In that last dance of chances I shall partner you no more. I shall watch another turn you As you move across the floor.
In that last dance of chances When I bid your life good-bye I will hope she treats you kindly. I will hope you learn to fly.
In that last dance of chances When I know you'll not be mine I will let you go with longing And the hope that you'll be fine.
In that last dance of chances We shall know each other's minds. We shall part with our regrets When the tie no longer binds.
I confess it was not me who discovered it. At the time, I didn't even know about Robin Hobb and the nine books of the series... so I had to call on the pixie again. Only after the poem was read to me did I decide to read the books (fine, after the Farseer trilogy I skipped the The Liveship Traders Trilogy and went straight to The Tawny Man trilogy). I am amazed I have not discovered those earlier. Moreover, I am so pleasantly surprised to discover a character as complex as the Fool.
And yes, I am obsessed with the poem now! Must make a signature out of it! Must scrible it everywhere! Must repeat it inside my head every hour! You can go away now, I must deal with this...
