e-gads, I am actually bored. finished most of the video game I wanted to, the only one I really want to play I don't own yet, finally figured out how to solve the problem I had with the one comic idea that was bothering me, my drawing practice is starting to show progress...most of the inane things in my life are taken care of. It feels strange to be somewhat at peace right before a major holiday, almost like life is setting me up for a fall...I think I just jinxed myself.

:Name:: Kiba Akkibuzoku / Nickname: Kiba Hikyuu
:Gender:: Male
:Race:: Shinigami
:Age:: 222 Apparent age: Mid twenties
razz hysical Description:: Average height with a medium to wiry build and a tanned earned from many a day out doors. The slight feralness around his eyes and mouth gives his reddish brown hair a certain mane like quality that doesn’t exactly fit the picture that comes to mind when one thinks Death god.
razz ersonality:: Sporting a devil may care attitude, Kiba treats most endeavors with a business like detachment. He has developed an odd sense of humor from spending so much time out in the field by himself (if an old lady with a bag of oranges falls down he is going to laugh, probably some much so that he falls down himself). Due to his sword and the tasks he has been assigned in the past he has no real fear of his own death. When he is actually excited or focused he becomes a lot more vocal and animated in his actions.
:Clothing:: Besides the usual uniform, he sometimes sports a black short sleeve shirt and brown work (think well made peasant) pants
:Ranking:: None yet assigned
:Country/time:: Born Shinagami
:Background Information:: Kiba was born into the Akkibuzoku family, a family cursed with malevolent Zanpakuto in each of their soul cutters. The reason for this is because years ago, one of the clans ancestors, who belonged to the 12th division, experimented on his own soul cutter. Because of his tampering, all of his descendants are cursed with soul cutters that want to take over their Shinigami. Kiba is the first born in his family (named kiba because he has had all of his teeth since birth). Most of his ancestor who showed any talent for the job join the ranks of the Shinigami so it was only natural that he do so as well. Being the first son of the Akkibuzoku family, his early life was filled with more alone time then is usually healthy for a child. With his father working to advance his career and most of the community subtly shunning him, he came out of his childhood with a slightly skewed view on how to interact in public. The next major event in his life came at a sparring match between his brother and himself that nearly resulted in the death of his brother when the almost lost control of their soul cutters. That incident prompted him being assigned any scouting duties that come up that no one wants and being given the unofficial task and duty of being able to patrol out in the living world when ever he wants to (in the hopes that he dies off doing something productive).
:Weapon(s):: Asesino in its unreleased state resembles an normal Katana with a black handle and no guard.
Asesino: spiritual image is that of a dark reddish shadow with the impression of a smiling toothy maw that constantly flutter at the edge of his peripheral vision. (As he gains a better understanding of his sword the description will change). Kiba hasn't conversed much with his sword because he knows that bad stuff may happen because of his interactions with his swords real self.
Shikai: The sword's shape changes to where one side has a special serrated design resembling boxes with v's cut out of them, the other side is wavy like a flam berg, and the end is somewhat pronged. (I will get a pic done of this to aid people as soon as possible). At this point the sword begins to exert its will in the fight to a noticeable extent and Kiba has to actively hold back from trying to make all of his strikes real ones. This, coupled with his inexperience and reluctance to use his Shikai, causes him to mostly try his out as a draw cut to limit the swords time outside the sheath. The swords actually affect is to make opponents feel the weilders battle lust as a tangable aura around them that hinders them in combat (Causes them to fear for their lives, second guess the combat decisions, ect, based upon the person).
Shikai words: Kime Shine
Bankai? Not discovered yet.
Arts: Because of his family curse he has sought extensive training in Hakuda and Hoho in order to lessen his reliance on his sword. He has to this date never done a demon arts spell that anyone can ever remember witnessing.
(pic of person and weapon will be inccluded at a later date)

Nothing really to write now, just getting back in the habit of going on gaia so I don't lose my account.
Better start drawing so I can enter void and put up my own damn art for a change...who am I trying to kind, as soon as you choose the path of the writer, the path of the artist seems eternally closed to you.
later days all

I am finally here, man that took a long time but I finally made it. hmmm now what to do, might as well work on the comic and stuff, if Worlds of Warcraft doesn't steal my soul. Oh yeah, I am sad to report that Monterey still has the higher ratio of attractive women compared to the overall population.
Now for my usual rant. Today's subject; What the school system really does.
1) Kindergarten: teach you how to interact with others in the most basic of ways. Get you used to not being around you parent(s).
2) 1-5: basic arithmetic and spelling, all you really need to know to get a basic burger flipping job really. Teach you to respect an authority figure (the teacher) and deal with immediate (next day) deadlines via homework. First taste of conformity, social structures start emerging (boys vs girls and such) and later on become the first contact net works (friends) that people have. Basic life lesions are learned here (i.e. jumping from tall heights are bad, things die, people can be mean, you should not be mean)
The focus here is still very much on gaining real factual knowledge (2+2=4 fish should be spelled differently then house)
3) Intermediate school; 6-8: Illusion of class choices are presented and students get to take a more active hand in their educational path. Students now start making friends based upon similarities rather then proximity. Start dealing with longer term deadlines and being group work, via book reports due in weeks and in class group projects. Higher math is introduced along with classes that don't serve a purely academic purpose. Extracurricular activities take a whole new light and begin to radically affect the social status of the individuals participating. Grade/Age starts becoming a more important thing. Individuality becomes more important along with strengthing of social pressures to conform. Differences between the sexes (yes the comp spell check told me to write SEXES) become more important. A system of storage at school is introduced (lockers). Students specifically interested in something (i.e. sports, math, science, acting, dating) begin to subtly pull ahead of others that are not as interested in those fields.
The focus is on getting students use to the system they will be dealing with in high school, still strong focus on academic subjects, but mostly review and refinement of pre existing knowledge.
4) High school 9-12: Students do take a realistic role in their class choices. Switching form one class to another independently of others in implemented. Long term deadlines are the norm along with projects that have due date's months away. Social groups dictate a whole hell of a lot now. Students move at more varied paces, academically and socially, then ever before. Contact lists that will influence job possibilities are now starting to finalize. Extracurricular activities take the limelight of student's lives. Complex social interaction now becomes common place as students learn how they will have to interact with each other in the grown up adult world. Next step in education is not mandatory, thus plans for the future become more important. The sexual aspect of relationships is thrust (damn that's some good imagery) into the forefront of many preexisting relationships, fundamentally changing how they work.
The focus is getting students ready to interact socially with others in the working world. Academic pursuits are only as hard as the student makes them; even then most scholarly subjects are really just preparation for the same subject taught at institutes of higher learning (colleges).
The reason I wrote this out is because other people have commented on how specifically high school doesn't teach you all that much and how any person with half a brain in their head can pass all of the classes there in about half the time if they really want to. A lot of them also stated how home schooling is always better. I just wanted to share my observation and my conclusion that a lot of school isn't about the textbook learning; it's about the life lessons, socially acceptable actions, and cultural rules that are learned. Also the networks of contacts and friendships forged there greatly aid people as they continue on in life. Home schooling can prevent many of these important events and eliminates the possibilities of many other crucial growing experiences. I'm not saying that every person who is home schooled will come out an emotionally stunted social pariah. I just want people to realize that there is more to it then just academics and that high school has come to be sort of a right of passage in northern American culture. well that's it for me, now for the nice little disclaimer that this mostly applies to public schools of the USA and that there will are always be small differences from school to school. If actually questioned about this I can go more in-depth then I did here.
hana-chan Will you help me get Gackt? And is there anything I can do to help you with your site? *likes to do stuff*
no, I will not help you get Gackt, because that would ruin all the fun of seeing what the media makes of that fiasco to be.
Thanks for asking but I'm going to handle the website.
Lyra_Aliton You said you wanted to write...again I ask...who is Dunlad...? Make it good...and that last question was posted by se-ven's he forgot he was under my name for a bit there I guess.
Dunlad is my go-gaian avatar, inspired by the only nick name my friends have ever given me with absolutely no prompting from me whatsoever.
[******** tropical climates. Come to the San Fernando Valley and enjoy the feel of crisping flesh under the smog magnified inferno of that great ball of incadescent gas that others call the Sun.
Please visit our Tourist Center, only two exits south from the Mouth of Hell on the 101. Complimentary snow cones are provided.
Ummm this isn't really a question, and no I ain't going there, that sounds like it's close to LA.
Lyra_Aliton What things are important to you? Why are they important to you?
Everything is important to me because it's everything.
Here is the first Funny I'm going to post
