Pegalde (seeking name change...) Pegalde is a planet whose land mass covers most of its surface area. All the surface area is composed of one large land mass only broken up only by rivers and other smaller bodies of water, as well as some of the unique feature of each region. On this land there lies many warring civilizations each looking to declare dominance and control over the rest. The main cities involved are called Aojen, Suapulin, and Kurolasuka.
Aojen Aojen is famous for its war tactics and great warrior pride. Many warriors have been raised in Aojen and gone on to control the surrounding lands through tyranny. Most of the population is composed of humans. Other species live here in the city but they are often looked down upon and thought of as inferior beings. High atop a hill, the city itself is a safe place to be with a central building, large and very well fortified, it is surrounded by the homes of the cities inhabitants. The city?s perimeter is composed of metallic alloy walls with spikes to prevent intruders from coming over them. There are schools within the city which teach many things ranging from martial arts to the most advance illusionary arts.
Suapulin Suapulin is an angelic land where holy and water magic collided to create the most intricate display of statues and defense buildings. It floats above the largest lake in Pegana, Johouqwa, making it quite difficult to infiltrate. In fact, in the city?s history of existence, there hasn?t even been an attempt. This place is home to the angels. Very few races who aren?t related to the angels find it to be accommodating. If you are seeking a place to learn basic water magic skills, this is the place to come. It is home to the biggest library and school in the land.
Kurolasuka In the fieriest of plains and deadliest of tar pits exists a city, Kurolasuka, where obsidian paths lead all travelers to and from in an intricate pattern. Be weary of which turns are taken for the maze has a purpose, to disorientate and tire all who are unfortunate enough to find there way to the Phiming tar pits. These tar pits, and flaming plains are natural the only defense that Kurolasuka needs, but being home to demons, it is only natural that there should be more. Aside from the poisonous land, there exists monsters and beings that would send fear into the bravest of warriors souls. Demons themselves are enough to ward off all who cannot defend themselves. Not even the birds dare to fly above the deadly land.
Some other cities, more cities exist...but if your character isn't from one of these please specify, and if you can, describe it briefly. Pouja Haluken Weiluto Vigadus Xavands Sempomako Kakopa-South east of Kurolasuka and west of Suapulin this mountainous region is known for raising and attracting mages and those interested in becoming mages. A large number of oddities are bought and sold here that are not found anywhere else many of which are integral to spell casting and keeping a merchants pockets fat. The mountainous terrain protects and secludes the natives from most attack and there are very unique schools of the magic arts found here that specialize in different spectrums of specific magics such as pyromancy.

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go where there is no path...and leave a trail. Hope springs eternally from the human heart. Fate happens now, you decide. Little Extra. If you whistle in the night a snake will come to you. ---Good for evil characters...
Cybernetic City: Aojen A land of alloys, the hardest ever conceived, is home to the cyborg. Lustrous structures are made entirely of a wondrous combination of dense metals. The trees and grass all coated with a hybrid alloy whose flexibility is only noted when the gentle breeze rolls off the mountains for the west. The impressive and essential oxygen generators beneath the dome help improve the oxygen content found in the air. Created of magnetized atmospheric gases, a dome contains the very life force of all things living within the city. The roads are paved of gold, the light posts made of chrome, and even the walkways are checkered with these pleasing metals. Within the center of the city celestial water fountains majestically spout water into the air. Beautiful alloy sculptures of past leaders and historical figures adorn these fountains. As you venture towards the edge of the beautiful city large ached pillars meet high above separating he city from the rest of the world. Between the largest of these pillars four doorways lead to paths, all headed in different cardinal directions that outstretch towards a new civilization.
Demonic City (Need a name for the city, Thank You) The gateway to hell may be found somewhere in the scorching lava pits. The inhabitants here are accustomed to the unbearable heat fueled by the souls of the malicious. Flames spout up from the molten magma as pressured gases shoot out. Solidified obsidian creates intricate walkways, seemingly leading no where, yet pointing the way to Hell's entry. Black smog secreted from the mixture of toxic gases proves _______ to be treacherous. Only the demons can see in which direction they are headed. The condemned, guided by Death himself, will find them selves in an eternal struggle to escape. The bright glow of molten magma runs along the obsidian paths like rivers illuminating the paths. This magma is the only source of light for these treacherous walkways. An occasional peak or two rises from the flowing lava only to be melted away once again and the cycle repeats itself. Most paths converge at one point and head towards the gates of Hell. Made completely of obsidian, the gate towers above as high as the smog allows to be visible. Dark black arches loom overhead as the obsidian gates creak upon opening. The eerie creak of the eternal gate serves as warning to all that enter: "Many enter. Few leave."
Karoteph In the middle of The Great Sea of Sand, Karoteph surrounds the _______ Pyramid. Within this city there are flourishing gardens of magnificant species variety. Water magically appears from below the pyramid and streams out fueling this unheard of growth within Karoteph. Everywhere else in this vast desert, even cacti struggle to grow. Plants flourish for about three years intervals before crops begin to die and the water coming from the pyramid stops running. When this occurs, one of the inhabitants of Karoteph must go and investigate the problem occuring inside the pyramid which caused the stoppage. Shortly after losing sight of the "investigator", being engulfed by darkness, a scream can be heard from within the structure. Shortly after that, water starts to run again and the vegetation and inhabitants are happy again. The flowing water brings with it rich clay that is used for the construction of thier homes, giving them their color. There is no king or leader within Karoteph, for the people make their own decisions. Here, crime doesn't pay. One could easily be killed for "sticking his hand in the cookie jar". This is perfectly normal for these people.

Fighter Classes Descriptions (Needs Tweaking) |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Here's some ideas for the fighter classes.
Fighters:
Bodyguard - A person who protects someone (known as their principal) from personal assault, kidnapping, assassination, loss of confidential information, or other threats.
Bodyguards are typically armed and have expertise in unarmed combat, tactical driving, and first aid. However, the most important skill for a bodyguard is the ability to assess a situation and decide how best to respond to minimize danger to his principal.
Most important public figures are protected by several bodyguards who work together as a unit, using several vehicles and sometimes decoy vehicles to protect their client. Less important protectees (or those with lower risk profiles) are accompanied by a single bodyguard, who may double as a driver. However, some billionaires and dignitaries choose to dispense with bodyguards in all but the most risky situations.
Archer - A person highly profficient in the use of a many forms of distance based weaponry including but not limited to the bow and arrow. It takes a keen eye and a steady hand to master this form of combat.
Able to take on a great deal of tasks the Archer in many situations acts as a scout because of the ability to taking a great deal of visual stimulous and react quickly without making a poor judgment. While very agile the archer is limited to long distance rather than close quarters combat and is at a distinct disadvantage in situations that call for it. The wide range of money making practices that an archer can partake of will either be based in military or mercenary work.
A small group participate in a recreational archery, and while rarely, manage to make a profit.
Ninja - Said to be agents of espionage and assassination in feudal areas in legend and popular fiction. Some modern practitioners of budo ninjutsu argue that ninja were used primarily as spies, not assassins. It is popularly believed that the ancient ninja were peasants, forbidden under law from studying the samurai swordplay techniques due to a lack of nobility.
Ninja are said to have made use of weapons that could be easily concealed or disguised as common tools. Weapons commonly attributed to them included shuriken and bo. In popular folklore, ninja also used special short swords called ninja-ken (or ninja-to see below for explanation). Ninja-ken are smaller than katana but larger than wakizashi. The ninja-to was more of a utilitarian tool than a weapon. Another version of the ninja sword was the shikoro ken (saw sword). The shikoro ken was said to be used to gain entry into fortresses. The shikoro ken supposedly could also be used to cut (or saw) through opponents.
It takes a great deal of discipline to master the shinobi arts and can take a great many trials to ever truely comprehend. Many apprentice ninja die thus making it an unfavorable path for aspiring martial artists.
Samurai - The most honorable warriors in some of the fuedal areas Samurai are most like knights. Protecting their leader and his honor is the most important objective of the samurai. A samurai without an "owner" Is rarely acknowledged by his or her peers. Even rarer is a female samurai as the practice is distinctly male in origin.
While the types of combat a samurai is trained in are vast the most distinctive of the weapons at his or her disposal the sword is the most identified with the samurai dogma. The code of honor most like the code of chivalry is one that favors inaction as the final resort and honor of the utmost importance when deciding actions. When dishonored, by another or by oneself, seppuku or hari kari is taken to regain that honor.
Brute - A fighter for hire that perscribes to battle tactics of an extremely simple manner of anything is a weapon, and any weapon will do. Most are muscle bound and identified by an over active pituitary gland. Generally they are a specific in the fighter for hire sect of profession.
Many seek out opponents to grade themselves against as an ambition to be the best, that comes almost religiously to the brute lifestyle. This need to be the best comes from the simple need to understand one's place in life based on physical means.
The brute isn't exactly stupid as ignorant. Magics and any elaborate illusionary techniques may be confusing and scary until understood. Not a great tactition on a large scale, the brute's fighting skills are better at a micromanaged scale. Able to assess a fighter very well the brute makes for an superb fighter for hire or protector.
Monk - A monk is a person who practices monasticism, adopting a strict religious and ascetic lifestyle, usually in community with others following the same path. In essential terminology monks are by convention almost always men, although it may be applied to women as well.
The fighting style of the monk is for the basic need to find oneness within the religion that the monk studies. Essentially the specific fighting style is hand to hand with limited weapons. Taking the body to extremes through meditation is the monk's strongest attribute. And for the most part A monk will not resort to physical combat even for the sake of protection. This's because the martial art is another way to find balance of the soul and is essentially a form of meditation where a distinct practice of movements can silence the mind through the learned repitition.
Ronin -A ronin was a masterless samurai A samurai became masterless from the ruin or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favor or privilege. The term originated in the Nara and Heian periods, when it originally referred to serfs who had fled or deserted their master's land.
During the over 250 years of the number of ronin greatly increased. During previous ages, samurai were easily able to move between masters and even between occupations, and marry between classes.
However,in certain areas the old rules still hold true and samurai were restricted from doing so, and were above all forbidden to become employed by another master without their previous master's permission. Also, low-level samurai, often poor and without choice, were forced to quit or escape their master.
Traditionally, ronin were generally somewhat disreputable; a target of humiliation or satire. Although it was considered undesirable to be a ronin, as it meant being without a stipend from a lord, it was also considered necessary to the life experience of any true samurai. There was once the expression, "Seven times down, eight times up," which signified that a samurai would be dispatched on a year-long wandering mission seven times over his career, each time returning to the service of his lord. Mercenary - Merely a fighter for hire willing to switch sides for a price and holding very little in the way of honor or of shame. Being a mercenary is the most hedonistic possible path for an aspiring fighter. Held to no rules outside of their own the mercenary is happiest in times of war because that is when the most money can be made.
Usually capable many forms of combat the mercenary is able to perform many tasks. But the saying holds true, "Jack of all trades and master of none." The more gold the merrier.
Assassin - A fighter adept in the art of killing for the sake of killing, considered fearless and emotionless. the assassin will reach and kill a mark by all means nessescary.
To become an assassin is to lose all emotion and is nearlly impossible in the way of tasks. Capable of enduring physical extremes and knowledgable in many ways to kill the assassin's weak point is in fact large groups, prone to flight rather than fight in large group situations. This is due to the need to conceal appearance and maintain secrecy for the safety of the client, and of a pay check. Very little is known about becoming an assassin.
Knight -An armored warrior for battle that will fight for the honor of a king, the Knight is the highest form of nobility in battle. And will never violate the code of chivalry in battle or in public relations.
A position of prestige rather than honor the knight has many "helpers" from page boys to squire's all in order to become the heavy cavalry men that were knights. Fighting in a military sense to the knight ranges from combat on horseback to hand to hand. Heavily armored the knight can take a beating and keep going but at the same time unless having a great deal of stamina and being well seasoned the knight will tire easily under all the plate armor required for protection.
Generally thought of as clunky and slow moving if properly trained the ability to assess an opponent and predict movements allows the knight to maximize the effieciency of energy use and land a knockout blow without sustaining heavy damage.
Paladin - The paladin is essentially a holy warrior most like the knight excepting in the department of employer. Specifically a paladin is a knight that works for the church and applies to a dogma based on faith rather than honor and prestige.
Sentry - essentially a body guard that controls the type of persons able to access entry to a place. A purely defensive postition.
Martial Arts Master - Mastery of a specific class of martial art is a most difficult task that has created many splinter styles. Little is known about becoming a master save those that have actually done it. It is a nearly impossible goal to reach.

As soon as the RP takes off...and more people are active in it...I'll hold a Poetry contest. The poem should relate to Pegalde. I will give a 5000 Gold prize, and it will have an entrance fee of 100...that way I'll keep "jokers" out of the contest. This will only work for the major incidents...the place where I'll add the major activites will need to have a link to their pages...that way it'll be easier to find should they need inspiration...

I've decided to go about this differently. For my RP I'm going to provide the setting. This way I'm leaving the RPers the choice to pick which direction the plot will turn. If this doesn't work out than I'll work in a plot. For now I'm going to post the setting for just one of the many societies in this forum. I don't do intros very well...so the first few sentences I think need a bit of revising. I don't do the ends too well either...so If anyone feels like helping me out I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm not too good with names, feel free to name my society. This is the first one. Cybernetic City: Aojen A land of alloys, the hardest ever conceived, is home to the cyborg.
