Okay, so, I'm just gonna rant here. So, my mom had a friend from work over and she was talking at dinner with my brother, my mom and I. And so, Anne (that was her name) starts on the politics rolleyes Now, I'll have you know that my family is very liberal. Anne is very conservative.
She starts on the whole abortion thing and my brother is rolling his eyes at me behind his hand, and mom looks a bit uncomfortable. My family is pro-choice, Anne is pro-life. She's talking, holding a quiet debate with my mother.
And then Anne goes 'Well, I bet you support gay rights too? I always thought it was DISGUSTING for two guys to love each other.'
Mom goes 'Yeah, me too.' It hurt for her to say that, but I thought maybe she was just saying it to fit in so I didn't say anything.
After Anne left, I approached mom and asked her if she really thought being gay was gross and immoral. She goes: "Yeah, Shika. It's disgusting. I really wish you weren't gay."
Ouch much...
