Unlike most girls who played with dolls when they were little, everyday Bebe underwent strenuous training with her father, in every martial arts possible. At the time she didn't really understand why her father would rather teach her to shoot a bulls eye, than take her to the park. He would just tell her that she'd "need to learn to protect herself". Bebe's mother was much more passive than her father. At night, Bebe would sit by her mother, and her mother would braid her hair. Her mother always commented how Bebe had such beautiful, long, luscious, orange hair. The young girls in Bebe's class would tease her for her hair, calling it "too bright and weird". But it was her natural color. While Bebe didn't have a normal childhood, she was an overall happy and naive child. However, when she was nine this sheltered image shattered. Her parents had gone on a camping trip with their friends up in the mountains one weekend. It was common for her parents since her father loved hunting. However, when Bebe's aunty, her mother's sister, stopped by while Bebe was with her babysitter, Bebe knew just by looking into her glazed over hazel eyes that something was wrong. Quivering and almost unable to move from the place she was standing, Bebe sat down as her aunty told her that there had been a terrible, terrible accident. Her parents and her parents' friends were attacked...

After this devastating loss, Bebe stayed with her grandmother. She was like an empty shell though. She'd go to school, but nothing was the same with her. It wasn't until she met Elie, 1 and a half years after losing her parents that Bebe started to recover. Bebe found out by accident that Elie was a witch. It was then that she started to question the world she was living in. Witches? What other strange creatures were there? Elie tried to explain to Bebe that there were a lot of other creatures, most though stayed hidden from humans. Others wandered the street and people couldn't tell that they were not humans. Bebe didn't understand anything.

When Bebe was a little older she began to investigate her parent's death. She was told they were attacked by wild animals... But Bebe wanted to find out exactly how it was possible that they died, especially when they were skilled hunters. Finally when Bebe was 15, she asked her grandmother the truth. It was then that Bebe learned the truth that her parents had hid from her all her life. They were vampire hunters. Actually, her father's line was comprised of many famous vampire hunters. Despite her initial bewilderment, everything finally made sense. Vivid memories of her youth flashed back to her, and finally it seemed like the last jigsaw puzzle pieces had found their place. The intensive training when she was little. Her parents always disappearing on hunting trips. The night her parents died... They weren't on a normal hunting mission, looking for little, poor deer or birds--they were hunting vampires.

Her grandmother emphasized that her parents were good people. They only hunted the wild, reckless vampires that were disturbing the peace. The ones that took advantage of weaker humans and used them as food. Bebe realized that her parents risked their lives for good and made sure that if she wanted to, she could do so as well. It didn't require much thought for Bebe to decide to carry on her family's legacy. Also, the only way to get revenge on the b*****d vampire(s) that killed her family was to become a vampire huntress. So, at age 15, Bebe cut her long hair and resumed her training. With her best friend Elie, they joined a secret society comprised of any race--human, witches, even a few vampires, etc--that want to stop the wild night creatures from disturbing their city.

Bebe has had a difficult life. But all her losses and her struggles in her life have made her stronger. She is now 19 and has her sight set on destroying the evil vampires that plague the world... And also to seek revenge.
