23rd October: Please, everyone, check your Phoenii. If your Phoenii hasn't grown, please make a post in the users list. It's getting so crazy I'm losing track of who's due what @_@ Me and Kitty are doing our best to get everything up and running, plus I've started two full new projects at college, and was extremely sick over the weekend. Bah @_@

20th October: What's that? No updates for 3 days? 'Fraid so, folks. Some of you may already know that my pc basically spazzed out. PSP needed totally reinstalled, and most of my Phoenii folders ended up corrupted somehow. I have a LOT of recolouring to do. So I must apologise for those wondering why their Phoenii haven't grown. There's really nothing I could do sad

17th October: More growths today! Nyte has become our first adult Halloween Phoenii, so finally you get to see why they're so awesome biggrin Also, little Chase has all grown up! Spirit and Emerala have grown too, along with Raphael. Not to mention Dizzy has hatched! Hopefully, Izzy will be along soon also biggrin
16th October:A few new growths today. That studly stud Platinumsky is now on the market, ladies! So dig in wink

In other news, I got a new tattoo today. Of a girl very similar to my Gaia character (Has her hair). Is that boderline obssession? XD This is becoming somewhat or a journal O_o;

15th October: As you can probably see, the Owner's List has been moved to the Guild, seeing as it was getting quite large! There has also been a lot of updates to various sections, so be sure to read stuff! Also, Kitty and I have opened up spaces for custom Phoenii at a set price! Prices Subject to change. See the store for more details.
14th October: Well, all the 2nd Gen eggs have hatched, and our second couple have bred! The excitment! There is also a Phoenii Dictionary! Found beside the Inventory Key smile Also! Variant was kind enough to make user bars!
13th October: Oooh, lookit! A new Auction!!
12th October: There's probably a buttload of problems from yesterday because it was so chaotic. Lemme know in the Fixing Wrongs topic, cause I won't be on much tonight. smile Also, all the growths will be done when I get home, so lemme know of any problems there too, k?
11th October: There will be a flatsale today at 7pm, GMT! (that's 11am Gaia time!). There will be two kinds of flat sale; a standard for new owners, and a special flatsale introduced new eggs!! Ooooooh! Keep and eye out, 'cause it's first come first served!

It is said that long ago, the elements were ruled by five Phoenixes, each named after a gemstone. There was Ruby, who controlled fire. There was Emerald, who controlled the earth and plants. There was Diamond, who controlled the wings. There was Amethyst, who controlled the spirits. And there was one, called Sapphire, who controlled water and ice.

These five sisters went seperate ways, to watch over what they had been given, and perhaps to give new life in the way of laying eggs, as they do every 100 years. The offspring, or ‘Phoenii’, are not full Phoenixes, but rather a separate breed of mythical bird.

In a valley unknown to most, the Sapphire Phoenix found a suitable home; a tall cliff, dotted with holes and caves, perfect for nests. The valley was home to a gorgeous waterfall, and lush green grass. It would be perfect for young to be raised without disturbance. And so, in a cave at the top of the cliff, the Phoenix made her new nest.

A young woman, coincidentally named Sapphire Lazuli, happened to stumble across the Sapphire Phoenix as she was prepared to give birth. An agreement was made, that Sapphire Lazuli would care for the eggs, and find them loving homes. And so a patnership was formed, and Sapphire Lazuli lived atop the cliff the Phoenix had chosen as her Eyrie.

TheSapphirePhoenix
The Sapphire Phoenix in human form. She watched over the Phoenii from afar, and is happy to answer their questions and queries. Some say she can even help a Phoenii to grow faster!
((TheSapphirePhoenix pops in to overlook breedings, and to chat from time to time, as well as answer questions. She's seen more in the Eyrie though))

Sapphire Lazuli

A Summary on the Phoenii

The Phoenii are the children of the Sapphire Phoenix, a mythical Gemstone Phoenix who often takes a human form in between laying eggs. Varying in colours, Phoenii are cheerful and friendly birds. They are also very independant, and will feed themselves. To take care of your Phoenii, all you have to do is show them love and affection!

Eggs take anything up to 3 days to hatch. However, this process can be sped up using a Speed Vial. This serum contains all the vitimains and minerals the chick needs, and will induce an early hatching. From then on, you get to watch your healthy baby Phoenii grow up naturally. All Phoenii are born with red eyes, like their mother. However, the pigment in their eyes can be altered using an Iris Vial.

Five days after Phoenii have grown into adults, they are able to breed. Adult Phoenii must be given a feritility vial in order to reproduce. There is limit of one vial per Phoenii at any time, to prevent an overdose of hormones. After the liquid has been swallowed, there is a 24 hour window in which the Phoenii can breed only once. Depending on the parents and regularity of breeding, anything between 2 and 6 eggs can be produced.

All Phoenii children look the same, except from their colouring. It is only when they become teenagers that a change occurs, with females sporting a longer tail, and male with a larger crest. Adults change further, with female's tails growing even longer, and getting hair-like crests. Male sport a taller crest also.

Keep an eye on the status of your Phoenii. It can tell you all you need to know about their stage in life.

Different Kinds Of Phoenii

Standard Phoenii; Red, Blue, Green and Yellow Phoenix, all born with red eyes.
2nd Gen Phoenii; Purple, Black, Orange and White Phoenix, all born with red eyes.
Cosplay Phoenii; Phoenii born in costume, often with items and similar characteristics to whoever they are cosplaying as.
Custom Phoenii; Phoenii eggs taken to the Sapphire Phoenix, whereupon they are painted to the owner's desire. Any plumage is allowed.
Halloween Phoenii; A special kind of Phoenix only found around Halloween time. Unable to obtain any other time of year, these Phoenii are larger than regular Phoenii and can sometimes be quite reclusive or aggressive.
Gryphoenii; Phoenii who, with the help of Serberis Lightwing, have taken a special gryphon vial. There are two different types of vials currently.
Water Phoenii; A Phoenii who shares a special link with the Sapphire Phoenix. Currently Unavailable.
Fire Phoenii; A Phoenii who shares a special link with the Ruby Phoenix. Currently Unavailable.
Earth Phoenii; A Phoenii who shares a special link with the Emerald Phoenix. Currently Unavailable.
Wind Phoenii; A Phoenii who shares a special link with the Diamond Phoenix. Currently Unavailable.
Spirit Phoenii; A Phoenii who shares a special link with the Amethyst Phoenix. Currently Unavailable.
Angelic Phoenii; A rare and unusual breed of Phoenii. Currently Unavailable.

Phoeniix Questions

What is a Phoenii?
A Phoenii is the offspring of the Sapphire Phoenix. See the story for more details.

How do I get a Phoenii?
Keep an eye on this topic for new eggs, or if you know two people who are breeding their Phoenii and wish to sell a baby, you can bid for them then. smile

How do I sell my Phoenii egg?
Unless the egg is recently laid from a breeding your Phoenii have taken part in, you may not sell your egg. To sell new eggs, let me know. I will let everyone know that an egg is for sell and then an auction will begin for the egg. It is up to you how long you let the auction run for smile After the auction is done, the shop recieves 30% of the profit, and the other 70% is split between the owner(s). This is to discourage selling eggs to make a quick buck. Phoenii shouldn't be bred for gold.

Is my Phoenii a girl or a boy?
You get the choice! Phoenii are generally sexless until they become teenagers, so you can sway their gender to your preference!

How do I name my Phoenii?
You can name them whenever you wish! You will be asked to confirm their names and genders when their childhood is almost over.

What colour of Phoenii can I get?
Standard eggs are red, blue, green and yellow. They cost 500g each. 2nd Gen eggs are purple, black, white and orange. They cost 1500g each.

Can I change my Phoenii’s eyecolour?
Yes, you can buy a special eye changing serum! All Phoenii are born with red eyes, but you can change it by buying an Iris Vial from the store.

How long does it take my Phoenii to become an adult??
Eggs take anything up to 3 days to hatch. Babies grow into teenagers in 5 days, and then teenagers become adults in one week. So just over two weeks in total. smile However, if the Sapphire Phoenix gets involved... Sometimes, she can gently lull Phoenii to grow a little faster!!

How do I breed my Phoenii?
When your Phoenii has been an adult for 5 days or more, it is then able to breed! Phoenii can only breed twice a month, so choose your time wisely! When your Phoenii has found a suitable mate who is also able to breed, you may both purchase a fertility serum! You have to wait for a breeding slot to open from a colourist. When you get a spot, you can start the breeding, and you have a 24 hour window to breed your Phoenii. Phoenii who have recently bred need 2 weeks rest afterwards! The Sapphire Phoenix will overlook every breeding (in her human form), and at the end of it, two eggs will be produced!

When I breed my Phoenii, what colour of eggs will I get?
It depends who your Phoenii breeds with.

Can my Phoenii breed with the Sapphire Phoenix?
No.

How often does the Sapphire Phoenix lay eggs?
Usually every couple of weeks. She lays between 2 and 8 eggs a time.

Can I customize my Phoenii?
At the moment, you can only change their eye colour. So if you really want a blue Phoenii, wait until one is for sale.

Whats the difference between Standard, 2nd Gen and Special?
Standard is your blue, red, yellow and green eggs. 2nd Gen are purple, orange, black and white eggs. Special so far consists of custom eggs, but will include other colours in the future smile

Store Questions

Do I have to pay with pure gold?
No, you can pay using items that are to the equivelant of 500g. Or more, if you wish smile But please, no Daily Chance items!

How many Phoenii can I own?
As many as you want! :3

Can I pay half now and half later?
No.

I sent you a trade for an egg yesterday, and when I came on today, you had cancelled it. Why?
If you bid on or try to buy an egg, you must pay for it immediately. I will give you a small window of time to pay, and if you don't, then the egg will go back on sale. This way, people can't 'reserve' eggs, which is unfair to other eager buyers.

It says there are none of the vial I want left. When can I get one?
Just keep an eye on the stroe for new ones!

Cert Questions

What does 'status' mean?
It shows what stage your Phoenii is in. See the Phoenii summary for a key of the different status images.

What is my inventory for?
Sometimes, special vials go on sale. The vials you have purchased show up in your inventory. Also, you may sometimes recieve medals for any special events or awards you Phoenii wins. These will show up in your invetory also smile

Name: Iris Vial
Description: A special serum that changes the colour of Phoenii eyes. When used, the empty bottle may be kept for refills.
Cost: 500g
Quantity: 2 pink, 2 light blue, 0 dark blue, 3 gold, 1 green

Iris Vial Refills: 300g each. You must have an empty bottle to get it filled up with whatever colour you choose, even colours that haven't been introduced yet!

With the holiday of Halloween coming soon, the Phoenii are excited about the prospect of dressing up and playing games! Here are the available costumes and their prices. Note that your Phoenii will keep their items even after Halloween and can wear them anytime smile

Speed Vial: A special vial that contains a liquid that induces an early hatching. It provides all the nutrients, minerals and vitamans an eggs needs so that the baby inside grows faster. Can only be used on eggs. Once equipped to a Phoenii, it may be swapped over to any other Phoenii.

Fertility Vial: A vial fulled of sweet, pink liquid that awakens the reproductive system of the Phoenii for 24 hours after it has been swallowed. Can be dangerous if taken too often in a short period of time. Therefore, it is suggested only to be used once every 2 weeks. Once equipped to a Phoenii, it cannot be swapped over to any other Phoenii.

Iris Vial - Pink : A special liquid that when swallowed, changes the colour of the Phoenii's eye. Refills available. Once equipped to a Phoenii, it cannot be swapped over to any other Phoenii.

Phoenii Dictionary
Common Phoenii Terms, names and Phrases that you need to know

Characters

The Sapphire Phoenix - The one true Phoenix and birth mother to all Phoenii. Controller of water and ice.
Sapphire Lazuli - The Sapphire Phoenix's aide, takes care of egg sales, breedings and everything Phoenii related.
Serberis Lightwing - An old friend of the Sapphire Phoenix. This handsome blue and black gryphon is also the creator of the gryphon vials, and is currently finalizing them for sale.

Everything Else

Phoenii - Children of the Sapphire Phoenix. Not true Phoenixes, but maybe one day...
Gryphoenii - A term coined by Bouncy_Pineapple. A Phoenii that has swallowed a gryphon vial, created by Serberis Lightwing
Egg - The painted eggs which the Phoenii are born in. the colour of the egg hints towards the plumage of the Phoenii inside.
The Lagoon - A cool bed of water where the Phoenii go to relax and meet possible mates.
The Eyrie - (The Guild) The towering cliff face in where all the Phoenii's nest are found. At the top in an ice cave lies the Sapphire Phoenix.
