Most of my OCs are members of the Fedorov family, who own a collection of business enterprises consisting of a car manufacture, newspaper and media publishing, and a chain of casinos. The story is set in pre socialist Russia, just before the revolution, with some details changed.

The family empire is very large, but the main decisions are held by a few key members in the family’s inner circle. It used to be run by the family head Vladimir, but since his death its been passed to his adopted son Nikolai. Some in the inner circle of the family did not agree with this decision, and saw it as a chance to gather power for themselves, two fractured parties then emerged, no tactics are too underhanded in this struggle for power...

Nikolai Fedorov

Age: 26

Eye colour: Brown

Hair colour: Dark brown

Skin: Light

Dress: Open collar white shirt and black pants, dark shoes. Reference [x] [x]

Job: Head of the empire (like the CEO) but is not the head of the family itself, unlike his adopted father who held both posts.

Background: Nikolai was a distant relative of the Fedorov family, his parents were killed in a suspicious car accident when he was young. Vladimir saw great potential in him and adopted him as his son. Being the current head of the Fedorov empire, which is a stressful job by itself, without the added worries of mutinous relatives, Nikolai is usually quite stressed out, therefore he has a severe and serious personality. However, he is also very dedicated to his job, feeling that he owned it to the late Vladimir who took him in.

Relationship with Veronica: Their personalities clash often, but they get along well enough. Despite being siblings, they’ve only met after Vladimir’s death, as Veronica was living with her mother previously. Nikolai feels a sense of responsibility for Veronica, being her older adopted brother. Currently both are living together in the family’s city estate.

Relationship with Scarlet: Nikolai doesn't seem to mind her, even if Scarlet is taking pictures of her cliging onto him, but he doesn't seem to respond to her attempts to flirt as well.

Relationship with Viktor: A little strained, It might be that he's overprotective of Veronika. But, Nikolai knows Viktor has what it takes to do his job well, no matter how much of an idiot Viktor sometimes acts like.

Relationship with Yulia: Terrible, to the point where whenever something goes wrong, his first thought is if Yulia is involved in it or not.

Viktor Baranski

Age: 23

Eye colour: Ocean blue

Hair colour: Dirty blonde

Skin: Lightly tanned

Dress: Reference [x] [x]

Job: Human resource manager.

Background: Viktor is an upbeat and enthusiastic person. He's also a terrible flirt. He went to the same university as Veronika and Scarlet, and was hired by Veronika when she discovered his easy going nature. He gets along well with most people.

Relationship with Nikolai: They don't get along too well, Viktor's happy go lucky attitude and jokes annoys Nikolai, but they haven't gotten into any fights yet.

Relationship with Veronica: They are dating, and get along great, but with both of them having a light hearted attitude to their relationship, its hard to tell just how serious it is.

Relationship with Scarlet: Good friends, they often flirt together, well, Viktor flirts with everyone, sometimes even the guys.

Veronika Fedorov

Age: 21

Hair: Shoulder length straight black hair, with a partial fringe.

Eyes: Dark green

Skin: Cream

Dress: Character Sheet, more references [x] [x] [x]

Job: Public relations director and manager of the empire’s media and publishing sector.

Background: Veronika is the only child born from of Vladimir. With Vladimir’s death, her relatives that wanted favour and power attempted to push her as the new head of family. She is rather cheerful and tends to not let anything get her down, her quick mind can usually provide her with some ingenious solution to her problems. While naturally bright, and harbouring a passion for learning new things, she is flighty, gets tired of working on one thing for long periods of time and has little patience. Many of her projects and business ventures had to be taken over by someone else instead. Therefore through her faults her rivals managed to successfully prevent her from inheriting the empire.

Relationship with Nikolai: Up on their first meeting, Veronika liked Nikolai’s hardworking and honest nature, and not wanting the empire to fall into the heads of her rivals, she successfully pushed for Nikolai to inherit the position instead.

Relationship with Viktor: Currently dating, although they are not really serious yet.

Relationship with Scarlet: Very good friends, Scarlet is one of the two people Veronika implicitly trusts, the other being Nikolai.

Relationship with Yulia: Quite terrible, they have never gotten along very well, things just escalated when the struggle for succession arose.

NOTE: There has been some confusion about Yulia due to the mixed references. I hope the following will explain things better.

Background: Yulia was first Veronika and later Nikolai’s key rival for Vladimir’s position. Being the branch of the Fedorov family that has always managed the casino chain, she has plenty of financial backing. She also has an influence on her high profile clients that frequent the casinos, some of which are members of the mafia and other underworld organisations. Yulia is very clever and her mind is full of tactics, however she is also vain and arrogant, which has led to the failure of her plots before. Like Nikolai, she is very stubborn, and will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Relationship with rest of the characters: Extremely antagonistic. She does her best to get on everyone’s nerves.

Scarlet Zhao

Age: 22

Eye colour: Black

Hair colour: Black

Skin: Cream

Dress: Character sheet (note: without the hat, and more of a fringe), extra references [x]

Job: Chief lawyer for the empire for commercial related lawsuits.

Background: Scarlet came from a wealthy Chinese merchant family, she moved to Russia to study law in the university, there she met Veronika and Viktor, and the three became good friends. Scarlet is good at manipulating people (often without their knowledge) to get what she wants. While she appears to be ditzy and friendly, and is usually smiling, she is extremely intelligent, and perhaps the most under handed when it comes to things that get in her way.

Relationship with Nikolai: Scarlet is actively pursuing Nikolai, without much success, as their personalities clash and Nikolai is often too busy to acknowledge her antics. When asked by Veronika why she was interested in Nikolai, she openly joked that it was for the Channel bags she could then afford. Whether it is love, money or power, its hard to tell, most likely it’s a combination of all three.

Relationship with Veronika: Excellent friends, Scarlet often helps Veronika in her schemes.

Relationship with Viktor: Good friends, they flirt back and forwards all the time, its never gotten serious though.

I had a lot of fun with my costume design contest last year, so I decided to do it again, but on
a smaller scale.

This time, I would like outfits for my male OCs, Nikolai and Viktor, I feel that Nikolai's current
outfit is a little boring, and Viktor's current outfit doesn't suit him very well.

For personality and background on my OCs, refer to post 4

I'm not looking for something outrageous, like a spiderman costume or something, just simple
clothing that will suit them better.

This is a little complex, let me know if you have trouble with any of the references.
Basically I want some art done of the group of four (Anoni, Aeris_chan, Kimcheboo and myself).
We have a store called the Bathhouse, so the themes are laughter, summer, water, and bikinis.

Base References: From Left to right - Anoni, Aeris, Star, Kimmy
Everything in base reference is to be included unless otherwise stated.

Anoni:
Has a green froggy toy, bikini is light blue with white polkadots.

I will be judging all OC entries based on a thing following things.

Quality: Technical things I will be looking for include composition (the positioning of the
character and the pose), shading (colouring and texture), details (how detailed the entry
is. more detail does not equal better, sometimes its nicer to have something simple, but
I will give a note for effort)
Mood: Character expression and body language, how well the entry represents the
character.
Originality: Don't just trace the reference pictures, or even copy the style of the reference
pictures, I'd love to see everyone bring something new and unique to my characters.
Resolution: This isn't too important, just make sure your entry is at a decent size, in my
last contest I received an entry sized 8 x 2 pixels, I'm not kidding too!
Overall prettyness heart okay, this makes me look shallow, but for the top winning entries,
I definately want the wow effect that you get at first glance, if you know what I mean sweatdrop

Judging Criteria for Side Contest #1

I'll be looking for two things, how well it matches the character (eg, I don't think Viktor's current
outfit matches him well, but I'm out of ideas), and how original/creative it is.
Note! Your drawing skills are not a main factor in this, I am looking for designing skills. Although
if you come up with an awsome design and drawing, it'll be a plus ^__^
