Finally, FINALLY. Here are the characters that you must draw. Learn them. Love them. Most importantly, DRAW THEM. : D
The storyline wrapping these characters is fairly simple. One day, out of the blue, two friends decide to make a band and go on adventures assembling said band and attempting to get gigs to play at and eventually reach stardom. Sydney and Harold are the initial bandmembers, and Sadie soon joins. After this, the story becomes one of survival in a crazy, quirky, dog-eat-dog, metropolitan world. The story is moved by misunderstandings, crazy-enough-to-work-but-not-really plans, and lots and lots of love. :'D There's hardly any music-making because you really don't have time for that kind of thing when you're trying to escape the wrath of your fat, balding, middle-aged Italian-immigrant landlord and other such hijinks.
Name:Harold
age:18
Hair: Black. And emo. And by emo I mean swept over one side of the face in a manner that may hinder his depth perception. Also, it's spiked in the back.
Skin: Pale.
Eyes: I usually just draw them as black, but anywhere from black to grey to blue is fine.
Clothing: Usually a black, collared tee with a bandaged heart where the chest pocket should be. Girl pants. Studded belt. Black converses. Those arm sweat band things. Feel free to deviate from this wardrobe, however.
Flavor text: Okay, so about Harold. Harold was originally my mockery of the emo trend that was ravaging deviantart, the intarwebs, and everywhere in general. He became my schoolday doodle-whore and was the mascot that I drew whenever I was bored. Eventually, I actually got attached to him and spawned many little side-stories to surround him and made him a little more dimensional than your average mascot.
His common traits are depression, insecurity, and helplessness. He is also a melodramatic drama-whore and has a habit of talking to inanimate objects. On the plus side, he is loyal and willing to improve himself. Even if he wants to become a better person, he kind of sucks at life, so his efforts usually don't work out very well for him. Still, he tries what he can. Since he knows how much of a loser he is, he tries to ensure that the people around him will not ever "sink to his level" by being a really sweet and nice guy to everyone. The fact of the matter is, though, he really isn't as big of a loser as he thinks he is. He has decent drumming ability, and when he tries, he's a very likable and amiable person.
Relationships
-Sydney: He is very close friends with Syd. They are tight like a new pair of too-small underwear. Eventually, he develops a crush on Sydney but never acts on it because he's so deathly afraid of rejection and cold-shoulder treatment from him. As Sadie points out, however, Sydney and Harold are pretty much brothers, and the likelihood of Sydney treating Harold harshly for being a f** is solidly zero. He looks up to Sydney due to the dude's outgoing and cheerful nature.
-Sadie: He fears Sadie like Garth fears change. He is submissive and meek to Sadie, but only because he's too spaced out to realize that Sadie isn't really sadistic but brutally honest and down-to-earth. He's under the impression that she hates him and wants to kill him at any given moment, but in reality, she's just constantly exasperated and amused by him. When it comes down to it, though, they're good friends and trust each other a great deal.
