Welcome to Shadows of Africa, a Gaian shop based on Disney's The Lion King. 12.03.04 Lady_Shinigami won the December Quest Pot! Congratulations. Halloween Event went well, and I'm going to be giving out the remainder of the prizes for that this Saturday...stay tuned. We also have our first goddess, and I'm going to be looking into someone to create a webpage for me...among other things. Naita, our RP manager, is going to start to work on some plots to liven up the RP around here. smile
09.24.04 I have a problem with updating this...anyways, only a few more days until the Item, Plushie, and Art contest is over (check top of this thread for the link). ^__^ We're also having a huge Halloween party/trick-or-treat night with auctions and giveaways and trick-or-treating and a raffle and a roleplay event. heart With several nice people thus far that are donating their skills to it. 09.05.04 We had a cool impromptu scavanger hunt event that resulted in me being tired. xd No more sales for a long while. That goes for events, too.

How can I get one?
You can get one through a flat sale, a raffle, custom, or an auction. Flat sales are 2000G per creature, and you may only buy one per flat sale.

My creature isn't growing! ;_; Why is that?
Since some people enjoy roleplaying their characters, growth will be slow for SoA's to make certain that these people have enough time to roleplay at each stage.

Where do we RP?
You RP at the Shadows of Africa Guild.

How do I get to be a Lion King/Queen, or leader of a pack/clan?
You RP constantly in the thread and are OOCly courteous to others. It doesn't matter what personality your character has...they can be cruel and nasty, or kindly and noble, or down-to-earth and normal. When I choose a King (or Queen), they are able to choose their own Queen (or King), and then they are given a territory to start a pride in. The same principal applies to all the different species.

How many may I have?
As many as you want. There's no limit.

What's this thing about naming?
The names you give your characters should be African-sounding. No Billy or Bob or Sara or anything like that. If you need help, here's a link to a very excellent Swahili Dictionary.

Do you do pet trades?
No. I don't really feel this is entirely fair to people to pick and choose which pets I'd like to trade for, so...no, not for SoA's.

Do you do customs?
Since I don't do pet trades, I've reluctantly opened customs at a very high price, to discourage too many people from getting them. I'm not expecting anybody to ask for one, however, since they'll be 400K apiece (in donation items/gold). But if there's one special cub you'd like, and you don't mind paying that price...well, here's a way to get one! Species that I will do for customs currently: Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Wild Dog. There will be custom auctions in the future. Customs finished: RainFox, Nyao-chan, Vashtya, Tortie, Allie23, Zahra Ovaci. Customs Unfinished: Mizukori. Customs are closed until further notice.

How do I get an FC?
If you see an FC down at the 'events' section, that means the FC doesn't have an Rper yet. Please send Naita the name of the character you'd like, along with a sample of your RP skills, and we'll see! These characters are 100% free...but if you don't show up in the thread to RP, you might have your FC privileges revoked and your character taken away. I won't be a nazi about this, though; if you need a break or are going on vacation, just PM me! I just don't want to see someone showing up every two months or so to RP. ^__^

Can I co-own one?
Sorry, but no.

Do you need a colorist?
No, we do not need any colorists at this time. Thank you, though!

Do I direct link?
No! Please save your images to your own servers. ^__^

Flat Sales

Flat sales occur sporodically. They're usually held on weekends.</center>

Flat Sale Rules

1. You must show interest in the thread prior to participating in the flat sale!
2. The flat sale begins when I say GO, and not a moment before.
3. First come, first serve. Be sure to specify the cub you want!
4. Absolutely no editting or poor sportsmanship.
5. You may only get one. If you'd like to get a cub for somebody else, that's fine, but then you can't get one for yourself.

Raffles are generally held right after a flat sale, usually with two characters per raffle, normally one male and one female. These are entirely free. You can get one ticket, for yourself or for a friend.</center>

Lions are the only truly 'social' cat of Africa. They live in prides of anywhere from three to sixty individuals. They are quite high on the food chain, but a rogue lion will generally have more trouble staying alive than a pridal would; nomadic life is rough. They have one to six cubs per litter. They have four stages: Cub, Juvenile, Adolescent, and Adult. Rares that may occur: White lions, barbary lions.

Leopards are one of the many solitary great cats. They are well-renewed for being perhaps the greatest climbers; they spend most of their lives above the treetops. They have rosettes, much like a jaguar, but lacking the dot in the middle. Occasionally, leopards will be born dark gray/black with black spots; then they are sometimes termed a 'panther.' Leopards can have one to four cubs. They have four stages: Cub, Juvenile, Adolescent, and Adult. Rares that may occur: Panther.

Like leopards, cheetahs are primarily solitary animals...but they may form small coalitions in the wild. They are one of the only great cats that cannot roar. Small and lithe, they are also the fastest of the great cats, and can run short distances at amazing speeds. They may have one to four cubs. Hyenas, in the African world, are treated often as the scum of the earth; probably because of their looks and brutal siblicide habits than anything. They certainly don't scavange anymore than a lion or leopard would; they are quite able at hunting in their packs. There are four species of hyena: the brown, spotted, striped hyenas, and the aardwolf (which eats only termites). They may have one to four pups in a litter. They have four stages: Pup, Juvenile, Adolescent, and Adult.

The wild dog is usually colored in brilliant patterns of black, golden brown, white, and deep brown. They are fantastic hunters, and live in small packs. There can be two to nineteen pups in a litter. They have four stages: Pup, Juvenile, Adolescent, and Adult.

Breeding works a bit differently here than it does in other threads. Once your character has a mate, the female must find a safe place (via RP) to have the cubs in, whether it be a pridal den or some cave or thicket. I will randomize a number and tell you how many cubs your character wil l have (1-6 if both parents are adults, 1-3 if one or more parents is an adolescent, 1-3 if your female is bred with a random rogue and is an adult, 1 if your female is bred with a random rogue and is an adolescent). You must then figure out who is going to RP each cub, and tell me the names of the other people getting cubs. Each cub's owner must pay the flat sale price of 2000G per cub.

Your cubs will arrive then, and you each choose a cub to own. Parents's owners can each only choose one cub out of any of their litters to RP, so choose wisely! The parents then must wait until all their offspring have gone to adolescence before having another litter again.

Adolescents may have cubs! But they will not have so many...it's like a teenager having a kid. It's not usually acceptable in most social circles of the prides, but...it can happen.

If you have a female, you may also choose to have your character bred with a rogue. This 'rogue' will have either left or died, and may not be roleplayed, but the female will be pregnant and have cubs. In this situation, however, the female may only have up to half the total number of cubs/pups/kits that their species may have as a maximum (for example, a lioness that mates with a nameless rogue to have cubs can only have up to three cubs).

'Quest' is to help those without the funds or luck to obtain an SoA character to get an SoA character. 10% of whatever I make from SoA from this point on (whether in auctions, flat sale, etc.), and 100% of donations will go to Quest. Every month, I will pick (based on activity in thread or roleplay) one person, and they will get all the funds in the Quest pot at the moment for either a discount on a custom, or a discount on an auction. That person keeps those 'points' they use them, and can keep adding onto them if they wish.

Physical Description: all white, with black speckles on her front paws, and tip of ears. tip of tail is brown and the back paws are brown. also her muzzle is brown. greyish whiteish eyes! **hopes its not to...complicating**

History: Kiwa was abandoned by her pack while just a new born. as she grew, her instints grew as well, she learned to hunt on her own, and to feed on her own. she is very territorial and doesn't enjoy sharing space with others she is not so sure or doesn't like. she doesn't also like getting to know another animal if the first impression is a bad one.....

ZoeTheFairy - Takia/Female/Lion

Physical Description: Very light sandy coloured. White paws and white part of tail. Her eyes i would like to be deep blue.

History: Abondoned by a river, young Takia has always found her way around by herself. She has always had a wild sense of adventure and a big imagination. She still finds a part that longs for a family and somewhere to belong. She was born in a small pride that consisted only of her mother father, her aunt and a few of her siblings. She was abondoned because she was a little wild, and disobeyed her bossy father regularly. Although she missed her sisters and her brother, she set off in search of a new family. Not knowing if she would ever find one.

Ken~San
Ken~San - Watenga/Male/Cheetah (139K)

Physical Description: His eyes are red in color. His fur is a light yellow color. His chest, muzzle, and ear tips are all white. The tip of his tail is white and has three close rings, that are just under the tip, that are also white.

History: He was a very happy cub. His mother loved him with all of her heart and soul. He was her first cub. One day while his mother was hunting antelope, she was ambushed by lions from the pridelander pack. She had no chance and was killed in almost an instant. That night, his mother not returning, he ventured from there den and searched for her. Following her scent, he found what remained of his mother. He is now on his own. He has also made a vough to kill the hunters of the pridelanders.

Choucho - Taabika ya Nyuma/Female/Cheetah

Physical Description: Nyuma is a dark brown color with light tan markings. She has light brown eyes and the tips of her feet and tail are white. She had been abused while she was younger and has a few scars on her back and one prominent one on her face.

History: Her name has not always been Nyuma, before the events in her life she was called Tambuzi, meaning intelligent. She had lived with her mother and her father in the plains of Africa. One night her father returned to their home and began beating Nyuma, saying that she was worthless and she was the reason that him and her mother were having so many problems. Nyuma never told her mother about these encounters. After a year of abuse, the beatings began to grow worse and worse. Nyuma decided to go to her mother and explain to her what had been happening. Her mother did not understand and refused to leave her father despite the problems they were having. After hearing this, she decided she needed to leave to get away from the abuse. From that moment on, Tambuzi was dead and Nyuma was born. She has still not seen or heard from either of her parents, and she survived well, up to this point, without them. She has learned from her past and is kind to everyone. She did aquire a short temper and is prone to be violent when very angry. While she is like this, she tends to drift off by herself not wanting to hurt anyone.

Doomi
Doomi - Akida/Female/Lion cub

Physical Description: Akida is a black lion cub with white legs, as if dipped in paint, and on her white legs, are black spots. She has white on the inside of her ears, and three white rings around her tail. The tip of her tail is white. She has one silver, and one blue eye. She’s scruffy and beaten looking, from so many fights.

History: Akida's parents were said to have come from a strict royal family, and the father being a rouge, there love was forbidden. They had left the cubs out in the harsh desert to die, and only Akida survived out of her six brothers and sisters. Only a couple days old, she was taken in by a female rouge who’s cubs had died at birth. The lioness had quickly became close to the cub, and gave her as much love and attention she would if her own cubs had lived, teaching her all the skills necessary to survive. When Akida was only a couple months old, the female rouge died from hyena attacks. Having to survive on her own, Akida had come close to death many a times. She was bullied and ridiculed by other cubs because she was such an outcast. She became strong from all the fights, and no other cubs has been able to beat her. Having gone through such tragedies, she has learned to trust no one, and has become a complete loner. She wanders the desert alone, some say, searching for her true home, and purpose.

Kieti
Kieti - Cheko/Female/Hyena (100K)

Physical Description: Smaller than an average hyena. Her fur is a light gray with a ring of black spots around her neck. She has a scar across her muzzle, cutting into her lips, and big brown eyes.

History: Cheko was born a member of a large pack. Shortly after her birth, however, the pack was nearly destroyed by a mysterious disease. Only she and a few young males survived. They got tired of caring for her and chased her away. Since then, she's been hungry, tired, and on the run. She got the scar on her mouth while trying to take a part of a lion's kill. Now she stays far away from lions. Despite all of that, she's generally cheerful and happy, with an upbeat personality as long as she isn't confronted by her past.

Friday_Dora - Bwana/Male/Leopard

Physical Description: Average leopard (tan/black spots) with darker coloration around muzzle and tip of tail.

History: Bwana is an adolescent leopard who is just venturing out on his own. He was the only cub in his litter, so his mother spent extra time teaching him the ways of the jungle. At nearly two years old, Bwana is now fully weaned and ready to start his new life as a young male leopard in the jungles of Africa.

Safaia
Safaia - Kipapae/Female/Juvenile Lioness (111K)

Physical Description: Her body is a golden brown colour, deeper than typical lion pelt shade. Her paws are coloured as if they were dipped in the black midnight sky, as well as her maw. On her shoulders, she has a strange marking that faintly resembles a wing, one on each side. Her eyes are an intense green-as-emeralds colour, and her expression is usually blank or saddening.

History: Born in the Pride Lands, Kipa was shunned immediately after her birth. Called the Black Death, she was believe to be a dark omen, or even a demon, sent from the Kings passed on. Everyone in the Pride feared her, as if she was an Avatar from the depths of hell. None were emotionally strong enough to slaughter her, so she was thrown out of the Pride Lands to fend for herself, where she would hopefully die and leave the Pride Landers to live as they had. Still pretty young in her life, Kipa wanders aimlessly, looking for, but not hoping for, a new place to call home. She never stays long where she is though, fearing that a Pride Lander may come to hunt for her if they find out that she's still alive. A dark, broken spirit. She does not trust well, and is always haunted by visions that come to her at night, making her fear everything she sees. She has no faith in herself, and expects someone or something to kill her at any moment, ending her pain and solitude.

TheMadHatter
TheMadHatter - Aziri/Female/Lioness

Psychical description- Albino, icy white fur with ruby red eyes. The only problem is that she is marked with a strange symbol. Around her left eye there is a starburst of black fur that trails down to her left paw creating strange patterns. Almost like the symbols are crawling across her body

History – She was born at the base of the mountains. Her mother left her soon after she was born after seeing what the child looked like. She was found by a rogue lioness and taken in and cared for until she was healthy again. Right before the end of her first year the rogue was killed in a hunt while trying to take down a water buffalo. Aziri watched this happen and realized that without the lioness she was going to have to fend for herself. She hardened herself and eventually learned to hunt. She because sleek and powerful after years of taking down prey by herself. The few creatures she ran into always left quickly or ignored her completely. She knew it had something to do with how she looked but she closed herself off from caring about it. She wanders but stays close to the mountains she was born at hoping to find out where she came from. She had no idea which pride her mother had come from so she did not know whom to turn to for help. As she grew she began to develop a strange talent. She had a connection to the sprits of the land and would often find herself on the ground waking up from a strange dream that she had no memory of. She fought these dreams and hated them because she though they made her weak, but she hoped that one day someone would be able to tell her what was going on.

Kitsune_Takeru
Kitsune_Takeru - Mjasiri/Male/Lion

Physical Description: Mjasiri's coat is a pale greyish color, white spots are found all along his back mixed in with a few black spots. He has one red eye and one bright blue eye...His right paw is black with white spots placed about it. His mane is greyish-blue.

History: Mjasiri lived an odd childhood. He, his mother and his older sister, Rosia, traveled around as a small 'clan' of wanderers. One day, Rosia and Mjasiri came across a wounded lion. Mjasiri had begged Rosia to leave the male where he lay. He had told her that whatever had happened the lion must have deserved it. Rosia, being as kind as she was, scoffed and told her brother to stay put while she went and got help. Months later, Mjasiri found that his sister and the stranger, who had reveled himself to be named Odein, had had a cub. Mjasiri disapproved of this but, dispite his hatred towards Odein, he grew attached to his nephew. On a cool and crisp night Mjasiri had taken his nephew out to see some butterflies that had gathered near by. They chatted and had some fun before heading back to where the others were. When the two of them returned, Mjasiri found the bodies of his mother and his sister, both gnawed upon. Panicing a little, he told his nephew to run and find a hiding place. Before the cub could do so, Odein sprang at the both of them. Fearing for his nephew, Mjasiri grabbed the cub by the scruff of the neck and sprinted away. Odein followed. Odein eventually cornered Mjasiri and pounced at him, knocking his nephew from his mouth. Mjasiri watched as
his nephew fell off the side of the cliff they had been cornered on. After slaying the insane Odein, Mjasiri began to search for his nephew. During his travels, Mjasiri met a bird who claimed to know Odein. The bird explained that Odein had done something to upset someone high up in the heavens and that he had been cursed with insanity. The bird also told him that his family had been killed for helping Odein. When Mjasiri asked about his nephew, the bird told him to quit searching, or else he would suffer a horrid death. Mjasiri ignored the warning and continued searching. Eventually, one of his eyes went blind and the bird found him again, explaining that that was a warning. Mjasiri took it seriously and stopped his search. After he stopped searching for his nephew, he became a wanderer, telling stories and fourtunes to prides he came across.

Dreor
Dreor - Candida/Female/Wild Dog

Physical Description: Green-eyed Candida's front legs are tannish-brown with white spots trailing into white with tannish-brown spots. The rest of her is the same tannish-brown with black spots, except for a white rune in the middle of a black spot on her rump, the Nordic rune for "strength." Her hind legs are white with large tannish-brown spots, and her tail is tannish-brown with a black stripe and then a white tip. Her most obvious characteristic is that which gave her her name. Her muzzle and neck are black, but the rest of her head is pure white.

History: Candida means "white, pure," and she was named for her white face, a very unique trait for a wild dog. Born into a loving pack, Candida lived happily for the first couple months of her life before a few rogue and starving hyenas attacked at a feed and split up the pack, killing a few members including Candida's mother and the alpha female. Without their leader to recollect and hold the pack together, the wild dogs split up to find new packs to run with or to start their own. Candida was somehow left behind, and the good-humored fun-loving pup found herself suddenly on her own. For a long time, she scavenged, occasionally taking great pride in catching small meals like birds or hares. The youngster loved to run and jump, and to sing. She often played games with herself or her shadow or with any little animal she came across. She is always on the lookout for a new pack to join or another dog to run with, because this pup loves company and friends. At even a hint of hyena, however, she may tuck tail and cower.

Physical Description: Her eyes are as crimson as blood and glow into the shadows as if they where but frail pieces of fabric cast aside by the underworld, which she is practicly. Her body is covered in a beautiful dark gray pelt that covers her whole body except for her light gray stomache, chest, muzzle and the tips of her paws. Down her back is a black stripe that leads from her neck to the base of her tail in a sort of streak, the fur on the tip of her tail is also black. So she's praticly the goth of the lion world.

History: The lost daughter and only survivor of the Dark Claw pride, she has lived alone with her mother until she reached the desert of the Firekin. There is was where her mother met her death from exhaustion and the lack of water, before dying she held her daughter one last time and told her these words. 'No matter what people say to you...or do to you...remember this my daughter, even the smallest cub can make a difference...please...make our life different Laana...make our pride live on...continue our blood line...and let our roars be heard again...' After the death of her mother, Laana went into a state of denial and refused to leave her body alone. Until that is when the red lioness Waka came, the cub had heard of her so many times, of their pride and religion, so it was not surprising that she became a slave, but unlike Kitwana and Dama, she was surprisingly loyal and obidient. She always took her beatings, and she always did as she was told, but she has never forgotten her mothers words, and one day she will live out her promise to her.

Kauhu
Kauhu - Veloloh/Female/Lioness

Physical Description: She is a dark color of tanish brown, with lighter "socks" on her paws. The same lighter color on the tip of her tail, her muzzle, her belly, and her ears. She has beautiful purple eyes. She is tall and kinda skinny, with a VEEEERY long tail.

History: She was abandoned by her mother as a cub in the Pridelands, and her father was never known to anyone. So she raised herself as a rogue. She hops to someday join the Pridelands.

History: When she was born, her mother new her daughter's path would be a difficult one. The newborn was swathed in a coat of white and had bright blue eyes that shone with all the sky's beauty. She snuggled up to her mother's side for protection, for like most white cubs with blue eyes, she was deaf...

Lady_Shinigami - Jala/Female/Lioness Cub (215K

Physical Description: She is a soft gray color with a white underbelly, chest, snout and part of her cheek are white as well. At her throat, it's soft gray with a white tribal symbol that surrounds her neck which looks almost like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/ladyshinigami466/TribalOne.bmp . Her hind legs is white from the tip of her toes to her ankles which brakes up into freckles of different sizes. She has a white tribal symbol that looks almost like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v461/ladyshinigami466/TribalTwo.bmp on her upper-right front leg (basically on the shoulders). Her eyes are baby blue that is surrounded by tiny white freckles. There are a few speck of white on her backside that were also different sizes. The front leg tip of her paw is white which ends goes up in spots. Lastly, on her tail, there are a few strips of white on the hair part (more like highlights, if you will).

History: She was born in the safety of a warm cave, with one other litter mate. Her brother was the first born; she the second. When the mother began to clean the gooey film off of her daughter, she saw some unusual markings on her body. What caught her eye the most was on the cub's right shoulder. The mark was shaped like a heart with a sun in the middle of it. At first, the lioness dismissed it as something unique and special and named her Jala, meaning 'special one'. It wasn't long until her mother found out that the sun-heart was a symbol of an ancient prophecy. The prophecy was believed to be a legend, passed down from generation to generation, but seeing as it was about to prove itself true, the mother lioness began to worry. Letting a sister lioness take care of her little ones, Jala's mother went to see her mate about the prophecy. He simply set it aside as nonsense and told her off. After that, everyone had forgotten it, yet only until members of their pride started to die off one by one. Despite all incidences, her father didn't blame any of this misfortune on her, until the only heir of his family, his first son, had been snatched from him by crocodiles while enjoying a drink on a hot day. Jala's father was in so much angst that he took out his rage on Jala and his mate. Jala's mother tried to defend her daughter by fighting him. Jala tried desperately to stop the fighting by yelling at her parents, but they didn't hear her cries. She knew this was her fault. She was the one with the strange markings that everyone was whispering about. She had to get away. Jala ran until she could run no more, hoping that she would outrun the prophecy, her curse.

Split Personality - Unik/Female/Lioness

Physical Description: Unik was born jet black as night, giving her the advantage of night time hunting. In the middle of her forehead is a silver spider web design. On her rump is where silver stripes start down her tail.

History: Her mother and father raised her as a single cub, so she gained alot of attention. She on the other hand did not enjoy it. She is not to keen on any attention at all. Her mother died from a fatal head injury from a raging wilderbeast protecting it's foal. Her father raised her to adulthood.

Getsurei
Getsurei - Ruya/Female/Lion Cub

Physical appearence: Ruya has purple eyes. She has a scar on her shoulder and one on each of her hind legs. Her coat is a silverish blue-purple. She has a silver cresent moon like mark on her cheek. Her ear tips and tail are slightly darker color than her coat. her muzzle is a little lighter.

History: When she was little, she was bullied for looking different. She was an outcast amoung the other cubs. The other cubs were sandy colors, she stuck out like a sore thumb. She was treated like she was stupid and not capeable of anything. The other cubs beat her badly. One night as a joke the beat her up and left her for dead. They were cruel, but she was always so kind to them. She was very weak and barely managed to escape. Ruya never looked back. She now wanders alone afraid.

Nikui
Nikui - Joshi/Male/Wild Dog

Physical Description: Joshi is pure white, albino. His eyes are a deep crimson-tinted color, and his body, of course, is platinum white. Pinkish paws, and a pink nose, the only strange markings on him are the black tipped ears, and his left hind leg is black as well. His paws are scarred with bitings from his siblings..trying to make him slow down and keep him away.

History: Rejected by his mother at birth, this poor pup had to somehow find a way to survive. His siblings cast him away, as well, but his mother had that strong instinct to somehow keep even the weakest pup alive. Despite her hate for him, she fed him, and allowed him to grow up...till fights occured between him and his siblings. He was always seen by enemies, and almost killed on more than one occasion. Though healthy, to a certain point, he no longer is accepted by his mother. Now that Joshi has no one to care for him, find him food or water, he wanders aimlessly...His paws ache with wounds that have healed over and re-opened. All he searches for now is safety.

ReganWolf
ReganWolf - Rau/Female/Panther

Physical- Her body is sleek and agile, a reddy brown adorned with deep brown spots of her kind. Her paws though seems to be dipped in black, her left paw?s sock is a little shorter than the rest . Her face is kind and gentle though she knows how to be sneaky, she fancies herself a spy at times, prowling in the jungle mischievously and watching others behind a bush. Her eyes are a flickering olive greyish and her ears are the same deep brown black color as her paws. On her tail, a few inches up from the tip is a small, choppy, olive green stripe. Her under belly is a lighter version of the rest of her body.

History- Rau?s parents were the couple you always here about. They were two rogues that just happened to meet deep in the jungle. They loved each other as much as any physical creature could love. Her father was brave and strongwilled, her mother courageous and tender. Soon after they met they had Rau and her two brother?s, though it should really be one brother since the first tragically suffocated by Rau?s umbilical cord. Out came Rau with her brother dragging close behind. Both parents took this as an ominous sign. At first they told themselves it was all just a strange happening though they were shaken. Rau?s presence also brought a sense of terror to the family. She was constantly reckless, sneaking off, jumping out of trees, chasing wild pigs, her parents constantly feared for there son?s safety and once she was old enough, they shunned her. In a way they were kind to do this, she had always longed to get away from her violent brother. Somehow she survived a few months and now she?s just an adventurous little girl. She often gets beaten by some other jungle cats but aside from those times all is well, she's upbeat for the most part and often prowls around happily.

Neith-Kia
Neith-Kia - Nyota/Female/Lioness Cub

Physical Description: She's smaller than most cubs, being the runt. So her body's not as filled out and under staved. Her head is all white fur, fading into a dark grey tan body. Nyota's two back legs are also white, as is the poof of hair at the end of her tail. She has three streaks running from her back up across her head and to her black nose in the same color as her body's color, and odd tribal-like markings in pale tan moving up from her white back legs, over her hips and to the center of her back. Her eyes are dark brown.

History: Like most litters of a larger number, there was always a cub that was undernourished, half-staved or just too weak to survive in the harsh wild. Nyota was one of these disadvantaged cubs, born in-between her brothers and sisters as a little scrawny thing that could barely find it's feet, led alone do much else. She was also cursed with a pale body, and white markings- both of which meant doom for her as a huntress.
Her mother was seriously considering taking Nyota's life in order to set the soul free again, but she saw the strange markings along the cub's hips and back. Although meaningless and of no real use... other than more ways she couldn't be a huntress, it triggered the strong material love and her mother spared the runt's life, taking extra care to make sure it was fed as much as the others. Nyota wouldn't play much, her mother feared she would break a bone or do herself harm... she didn't have as much hope of being stealthy as her sisters and brothers. She found peace in rolling on her back at night and watching the stars twinkle... also tiny and fragile, yet so beautiful... But whenever she could, she would sneak off with her older and stronger sister Binti. Nyota shows herself to be a calm cub, one who'd never be much of a huntress due to markings and personality, but one who'd end up giving calm counsel and love to those who loved her.

Xaki - Seirae/Female/Lioness Cub

Physical Description: Graceful, with a deep shade of golden ,She has a mysterious marking of a white scar in a X on her right cheek from a very old battle long ago when she was younger, Her blue eyes with a tint of darker blue to it twinkling with a mischevious glint. Her paws has swirled white markings with a little brown at her ears and a very dark gold at the tip of her paws

History: This one had not known where she was from but only known when she awoke her first time by a stream, had seen or what she thought her clan members dead. A lion pushed her to the river the forceful direction of the waters had pushed her away and she last saw a lion attacking the other lion who had saved her. Crying she wandered around at the end of the river landing on some rocks. She had tried to head back up but in the middle another river had been in her path. Her family and clan were gone, So she wandered around the woods surviving on only her instincts. She had grown soft and graceful when she had wandered out of the forest onto a long journey other animals had said. She came to enter many clans but turning on each of them betraying all. She was considered an outcast , a loner , a traitor . She traveling to other lands In serch for a perfect clan.

KasaiLoki
KasaiLoki - Thimba/Male/Wild Dog

Physical Description: He is all black with a small amount of white on his right ear. He also has crimson scars on his left leg, they look like scratch marks from a lion, and a small tear in his left ear. He also has a scar across his left eye, starting up by the tip of the eye and running to the right, slightly below the bottom of his right eye.

History: Being the 1st born pup in his litter, Rashid always would live up to his name. Hunting at a young age, Rashid always managed to catch at least one meal, even if the meager amount could only feed himself. As months went on, a drought formed across the land. The paradise of the Wild Dog clan had deteriorated into nothing. The alliance the dogs once had with the large cats of the land had also diminished. The once friendly groups, now bitter rivals fought and struggled over the flesh of the Antelope and Zebra. Only one winner would be decided. As Artemis crept over the land, the stars shined a bright white, and the moon a crimson red. Death was soon to be in air. One by one, the lions crossed into the territory of the dogs. Lionesses crouched, so not to be seen by the wandering eyes of the guard dogs. Like a strike of lighting each of the cats attacked, defeating the predators they had once shared their land with. Waking up with a jolt, Rashid and his brothers and sisters stared at the three snarling cats in front of them. Gulping, they each ran, but failed miserably to get away. A lioness had attacked Rashid, causing three slash marks on his left, a long gash over his face and a small tear in his white ear as his head connected with the ground. After that, all conscious thought was gone. Assuming the death of all the dogs, the lions left in glory, back to the Pride lands they had come from. Awaking a few days later by the sounds of the circling vultures, Rashid slowly stood up, a bit wobbly from his lack of leg usage in the past days. Gazing around, he stared in horror at the pack he had come to know and love since his birth. Sniffing the ground, his nose came across the footprint, or should I say paw print of a lion. Glaring, he howled up to the pink morning sky, forever to be known as Thimba, the Lion Hunter.

Koyuki Sanata
Koyuki Sanata - Baidi/Female/Lioness Cub

Physical Description: Baidi likes to be with people. Shes very social. She always depressed because she can't get over the death of her family, but she tries her hardest to be happy. She likes to play games and sometimes does bad things. Shes nice to a point. Though if you say something bad on accident she will make you pay for it.

History: When Baidi was born everything seemed perfect. They lived in a place full of plant life which could house many types of prey. She had a loving family which had a mother, a father, and a brother who was about 2 years older then her. She was the youngest but she was one of the best hunters. All thanks to her mother and many animals to practice on. One night however there was a storm. Now they had a place to stay, it was inside a giant hallow tree, but the bad thing was it had many branches which attracted lightning and started a fire. Luckily the whole family left with some injury's to Baidis fathers leg. The plant life was killed. The animals left. and Baidi's family had no food. They wandered looking for a new home. But could only find dessert. They were starving. Her brother died and her mother became depressed. Her father died of lack of water, it was only the two girls now. Her mother died right after she killed a small animal which was enough to fill Baidi. Baidi was alone and walked for days, living off of bugs and mice. Life was not good for her. She lost all hope in the world. But something made her go on, she longed for a loving family, for friends, for a life.

Infinite Duck
Infinite Duck - Awiti/Female/Lioness Cub

Physical Description - Awiti is a pale cub with four scars cutting over her body. One is along her snout, another down her eye and cheek. One scar cuts down her leg causing a slight limp and pain during colder weather, but she hides it well. The last is down her side. She has very little vision out of her left eye, which is milky looking. Her body is leaner than most cubs. After the loss of her mother, she has become a talented runner both with speed and endurance despite the damage to her leg. Her skills at hiding and tree climbing are well evolved. Awiti has a strong determination to complete tasks and a disregard for others. Taking what she needs to live, and gives everyone/anyone the cold shoulder.

History: The rain came down in sheets as a lioness panting, dashed through the muddy plains. She looked desperately around before dashing into a section of brambles. Squealing behind her was a small pale skinny cub, struggling to keep up. The lioness growled and pulled the cub into the brambles with a clawed paw. Despite the yelps from the cub, the lioness sat on it as she looked around. The laugh of hyenas could be heard in the distance coming closer. The lioness turned and stood, "It's your fault they found us!" She leapt out of the brambles covered in small scratches. "You wanted a name? Well I give it to you now. Your name is Awiti. It means thrown away. Now get away from me!" The lioness's voice was cold. The cub tried to follow, but a swift clawed swipe threw it back into the safety of the brambles. Shaking, it laid there safe from the laughter and snarls. Its wounds stung from the rain and blood trickled from the slashes along the left side of its body. Its world dimmed as it watched the hyenas meet up with its mother. And that was all it remembered of that night.

Andrani - Danzi / Male / Lion Cub

Physical description: Orange-ish in coloration, black hair on his tail, dark green eyes.(Think of Taka with more orange to his coat and darker eyes... The eyes stole the darkness of the coat )

History: Danzi was born to a lone lioness on the outskirts of an oasis, sharing their hidden home with his two sisters. Many animals visited the oasis, making it possible for their mother to keep the three cubs fed. But when the oasis dried up, they had to leave it, traveling across the hot desert. How they reached a much larger oasis, none of them knew, but Danzi had been left with just his sisters. Alone in the jungle, the three cubs scrounged up any kind of food they could, from bark to bugs to small rodents. But their paradise, if they could call it that, wasn't all it seemed. Danzi's sisters met an ill fate each, the elder of them falling in the river and being tossed about by the rappids, the other falling prey to crocodiles. This left Danzi alone, isolated from others of his kind. He happened upon paths, following them, never remaining in one place for long, usually just long enough to sleep through the night. Still he travels, having grown rather bitter for a cub, somehow upholding his own defense by his own devisions of hiding places and vantage points where ever he goes.

xx_Bullseye_xx - Nafasi / Male / Wild Dog

Physical Description: His main fur color is black, complimented with white, grey, and brown spots that appear to form groups of "stars" on his paw, leg, and tail areas. On his front haunches are markings that look like crescent moons, a white one on his left side, and a grey one on his right side. His back haunches have a marking like a ringed planet, a grey with white rings one on the left side, and a white with grey rings one on the right side. Appearing on his face and going through his right eye is a white streak, resembling a shooting star. His eyes appear as haunting grey orbs.

History: Nafasi was born of a small litter by the dominant female of his pack. He led a life like any normal wild dog pup would, until one day his mother disappeared. Nothing is known of what happened to her, she was just...gone. Soon afterwards his pack began to bicker among themselves as to who would lead. The pack was mostly filled with strong males, and the few females there were timid and weak...not very good leader material. After many arguements and quite a few fights, the pack eventually split up to form several smaller packs. During this Nafasi's siblings were split into different packs, but Nafasi himself was left out, due to being seen as the weakest of them. Nafasi took to wandering the lands, looking for his mother. All he wants is to know what happened, even if he finds she met an unfortunate fate. He's a curious pup, but often very untrusting and cold to those he has just met. Once one gets to know him however they can see past his rough exterior and find that inside he's just a lost little pup.

IloveJeremyIrons - Kimoka/Female/Lioness Cub

Physical Description: Kimoka is a pretty,bright yellow cub with a black tuft of hair on the back of her tail. She has very bright, deep, green eyes. She also has a strange marking on her left forearm. It is black and shaped like an ankh. The tips of her paws are white. She has white on her chest, stomach, under her eyes, and around her mouth. Sort of like Maawio, but with a few differences.

History: Kimoka was born a Pridelander and has always been one.( though she has not lived too long to be exiled!) She loves her family and she loves to play. She is usually found playing with the other cubs or walking around with her mother.

Sirius Dogstar
Sirius DogStar - Moto/Male/Lion

Description: Scraggily blackish red fur, with a light cream colored muzzle. His paws are cream colored as well except fro his front right paw which is blackish-red. Silverish-blue eyes are framed by the same light cream color as well. He also has a scar going from across his face.

History: Exiled from his pride as a young cub for a crime he didn't commit, moto wandered the plains in search of a home.

Kynthari
Kynthari - N'jandela/Female/Cheetah

Description: Is dainty - built lighter than most cheetahs. Has on her chest a series of five spots that are arranged like a flower. On her front shoulders there is a set of matching heart shaped spots. Her toes have white on them as though she stepped in white paint, this white travels up her inner arms and legs, to her tummy which is also white. Her nose is black rather than pink and she only has one spot of white on her face on her left muzzle under her nose. her eyes are purple fading to light gray.

History: A storyteller by trade. She enjoys travelling the pridelands in search of that *perfect tale*. She was abandoned and left for dead by her mother during a particularly harsh season the only of 4 cubs to survive she has been marked by this tradgedy and wears an air of sadness around her and there are shadows in her eyes that never fade. She grew up with a pride of lions that decided to adopt her - at least until she was old enough to fend for herself. As soon as she was eating and hunting successfully she was driven away from the briefhome that she'd known. She now travels around in her teen years gathering stories to tell by moonlight.

wooga Paes
wooga Paes - Kamuniak/Female/Lioness

Description: Regular lioness colors, very thin and two small cuts on the right ear, one on the left ear.

History: Kamuniak, meaning blessed one, really goes with her name, for she is probably one of the strangest lioness or big cat you'll ever see. She seems normal, but truly isnt, for she does something fully bizzarre: Adopts baby Oryx'. She already adopted a few, one as rescued, some died and some ran away, the first became a male lion's meal.
She dosent have a pride and lives folloing oryx herds. Sometimes when she was destracted the mother came, fed the baby and was chased away. Strangely she never hunts them, and when is hungry simply goes to hunt gazelle or wild pigs, anything other lions hunt but oryx.

Green_Eyes - Hiliki/ Male/ Cheetah cub

Physical description: Hiliki is a light orange color. The bit of hair on his head and back is a faded yellow. His chest, the tip of his tail and his front left paw are a faded yellow, too. One of his eyes is blue, the other is green. His spots are dark, small and splattered all over the place. His nose is a rosy color.

History: Hiliki is the smallest and weakest cub of his mother's first litter, but out of the three cubs he was easily the most adventurous and stubborn. His brothers had been asleep the day Hiliki was separated from them. Their mother was out, hunting most likely, and Hiliki had quickly grown bored. The cub got up and wandered away from his brothers, intending on returning before his mother. Time passed quickly and his shadow was beginning to disappear. Worried, Hiliki tried to find his way home. The cub had no idea where to go. NOt sure what else he ought to do, he simply clawed his way up the nearest tree and slept, the noises of the African night bouncing around his ears, but never entering. Hiliki is deaf.

Dragonz_luvr - Konobonyea/female/lioness

Description: Deep orange color. a line of white travels over her cheeks and nose below a line of black dots. There is a similar marking at the base ofher tail. One ear is compeletely white while the other is black. Two paws (opposite fore and hind) are black up to the ankle, while the other two have just white on the toes. There is a white footprint on her thigh and a black pawprint on her shoulder. Her eyes are turquoise. Hair on head and end of tail are black with white strips.

History: Kono and her siblings were abandoned or seperated from their parents and picked up by Human "Animal Rescuers". They were cared for until they were old enough to be released back into the wild. Her two sisters were sent to a Zoo for a breeding program while she and her brother were released back into the wild after being rehabilitated. The release seperated Kono and her brother, so now she wanders alone, searching for him and her parents, if they still live, and a life of her own.

Fallaryn - Nasha/Female/Lioness

Description: White with tan zebra stripes and amber eyes.

History: Born during the rainy season, Nasha was left behind and forgotten by her pride when a flood came to their lands. She grew up alone, managing to survive and to escape enemies.
She's always hoped that she could start her own pride or become an important part of one.

Description - Panther, blue eyes, white on mouth, toes, and tip of the tail.

History - His siblings all became prey when he was a cub. His mother died when he was a juvenile. He had seen his mother kill once, and instinct filled in the gaps. However, he refuses to make himself a home turf and slowly wanders through others'. He has had near death experiences several times because of this.

Defassa waterbuck eat coarse, short grasses that most other grazers normally ignore, and will often also eat leaves or brush. They usually feed in the mornings and at night, resting for the duration of the day. They live in groups of up to twenty-five, typically made up of females and their offspring who wander in and out of territories that are marked by the male of the species.

The genet, while feline-like in appearance, is actually a member of a family that includes civets and mongooses. They are mainly nocturnal and can climb trees quite well. It will eat whatever is available, including small mammals and various fruits. They have the reputation of being wasteful killers, often only consuming part of their prey. They are normally solitary creatures.

The ratel, or honey badger, as it is sometimes called, is a small, extraordinarily hardy creature that can live almost anywhere. It thrives on insects, mammals, fruit, berries, or any other edible thing nearby. They are extremely ferocious and, quite often, lions and other predators ignore them because of their temperment. They thrive both during the daytime or at night, and can easily adjust their sleeping schedules to suit their needs.
