7/10/05 -- Box of Crayons is hunting for new members! That's right! With the departure of a few of our colorists ( the final list of all those leaving will be disclosed a little later ), we're opening up space to new colorists who want to be a part of the shop. If you're interested in applying, sign up at the recruiting thread in the Minishops Assistance forum, here. Applications are due on July 15th.

~Yes, I am infact still doing Thread Freebies! ...I have someone in mind currently, but this is *on going* so it won't stop at just the one more 3nodding
~All the old left/right/center alignment is now updated, so it suits the new forum code, so we don't run into any problems in the future.
~Did a little bit of Layout modification; it's just slightly easier and quicker to navigate.
~As you can tell, the older news updates are now in smaller text to save room! (The first three are normal Sized -> until the 10th is sized at 8 -> all updates from 11th oldest and older, is sized at 4)

5/08/05 -- It's probably important to note that at the very least !Mech_Scara has decided to put the freebies on hiatus for a while, with the possibility that none will be given out. However, freebies from SOMEONE WILL be awarded EVENTUALLY so do post. You may be pleasantly surprised smile

5/06/05 -- !Mech_Scara has graciously offered to do freebies for random people who bump the thread from now on. Check out post 15 for more information, but basically: bump the thread and you have a chance at getting some really cool free avatar art. The more you bump, the better the odds that you'll get picked, so support the shop and bump!

5/01/05 -- We have a colorist of the month "The Brightest Crayon in the Box" program, and this month's winner is Chicky-Chans Ghost! Check out the thread in the guild for an interview with the colorist, and of course stop by her shop.

Extra notes:
** I do not clean lineart. The quality of the lineart has a large impact on the quality of the colour, especially regarding shading. I will not create folds in clothing if they do not belong there, the folds have to have been drawn in the lineart or there has to actually be space where clearly the fold belongs.

** Time estimates.
Flat colour and cell shaded: will likely be completed on the next monday, tuesday, or friday.
Soft Shaded, will likely take a week or so.

** Regarding making changes:
- If a colour is incorrect on a flat or cell shaded piece (blue too light, blue should be green, etc) the change is easily made and will likely not require an additional fee.
- On a soft shaded piece however, it is much more difficult to make a change because everything is on one layer. This leaves the dissatisfied client with two optoins: a) pay for the area to be recoloured (prices vary on size and complexity of area), b) I can attempt to use photomanipulationesque techniques to alter the colour of the area at no additional fee, however I can not guarantee the quality of the colour after that is done. If the problem was clearly my fault (ie: you said red and I did blue because I'm a dork), the area will be recoloured at no additional fee.

** If no colour guide is supplied, I will use my best judgement and colour it how I think it would look good. TELL ME WHAT COLOURS TO USE OR ELSE! If you say blue and I do light blue, but you wanted dark blue, the error with the colouring will not be considered my fault and there is a possibility of a fee to have it recoloured (see above).
