About the Quest

The desire to start this quest began way back at the beginning of November 04. I'd stumbled onto a Gaia avatar simulator via one of the threads out there, and was playing around with it, trying to figure out what outfit I'd like Trio in for the winter. (I don't tend to change outfits often, and finding one that I really enjoy is the way I have the most fun with my character.) Initially, I settled for a pretty blue-black sweater and complex pants... and on a whim, decided to see what they'd look like with an angelic sash. I thought the effect was gorgeous, and thus my desire was born.

*chuckles* I've been fighting on and off with myself to save up for the sash, but it's always felt very solidly out of reach. Add to that the fact that I've always felt a little guilty about the whole idea of a quest, and the fact that I have trouble saving up pure gold, and I figured that declaring an official quest would be pointless until I felt I could complete it (read: I felt I had enough to start believing in success.) And that day never came.

Recently, a friend of mine spurred me on to set up a thread and start questing in earnest. She did so by the rather phenomenal generosity of setting up a collaborative art auction with a friend of hers. The auction is intended to benefit me, and it floored me... and also put into perspective what I was doing. So the quest thread (and official quest) was created.

I know enough about myself to know that I won't be able to stop spending entirely, so I'm giving myself a bit of leeway there, but the gold listed in the offer will remain separate from my spending, and will be available for the offer at any time. Additionally, I've held back a few items of Trio's that are special to her - items that were gifts, or that are particularly part of her character. But again, any item listed in the actual first post's offer is set aside strictly for the quest, and will be available for the quest at any time.

About Trio Maxwell-Chang

I've been in Gaia technically since December 03, though I became thoroughly entrenched around January 04. I started my Gaia life in Minishops > Breedable/Changing Pets, and except for brief forays out into the rest of Gaia, I haven't left it. I've found quite a home there. (As well as quite an addiction...)

Youkochylde and Envy Fairchylde first drew me to Gaia with stories of this "new site" they'd discovered that was a lot of fun. Since then, I've discovered that they were absolutely right, and found my niche in a few shops in Breedables (some of which I own). I've quested before, but it's always been a quiet, private thing - this is my first quest thread.
