Rep beamed at Jack but did not seem to change his mode one iota. "There's a plan, but mostly it involves killing these lovely creatures topside. I get the feeling there's something here controlling them. I want to know where all the people who were in here have toddled off to." he nodded. "We are just fine here though, the job is simple, there's a backup plan to get the citizens out of here, best thing you can do is help out with the camp and murder the stragglers."
The little girl was crying unconsolably but was ushered to Rep's side where he took her good hand, ignoring the complaints she had about her well being.
The lights went out and Rep didn't even seem to notice at first, taking a moment to register that anything had even changed, before blinking and smiling faintly to himself as if it had been entirely planned.
"Yeah." he said, as if repeating something in his head and not for the benefit of the others present. "Yeah it'll be more dangerous out there! Be positive, stay positive and we will prevail!"
His expression went wild and delighted and he turned to lead the still sobbing little girl off the ice. "For now though. ANNOUNCEMENT TIME. I'll deal with the girl first Ace!" he called out to Harrison
And his laughter followed him into the open door.

Felicia screeched as the zombie hit her, as the lights went out, and really well on continued as she tried to hit it back. And missed. While Ro grabbed the lights, Jordan stood guard, keeping an eye on the darkened aisles and the still-open doors from which they'd arrived. When the laughter started, he stiffened and swung around to look towards the sound. The figure that their flashlights revealed moved slowly at first, almost sluggish, and Jordan opened his mouth to suggest that they get the hell out of there before the zombie spotted them. The zombie preempted him with a sudden rush, and Jordan clenched his teeth with frustration and put himself between the creature and the civilians. "Buck," he said over his shoulder, "get the others behind the registers. Get under something if you can. Stay down, cover your heads, and stay quiet."
He held Ferros up in front of him; the weapon's runes flashed brightly, and a cloud of steam swirled out of the vents on the hammer's barrel. The steam flowed rapidly through the air to wrap itself around Shu; it was warm and soothing, and when it dispersed, she'd find herself feeling better.

She'd giggled fanatically, didn't expect the little girl lunged at her would get the power to swing her cute toy hammer and smashed her that hard. Her head twisted in a uncanny angle and her movement paused. Al was relieved as the creature finally ceased to move. He did however reward Noah with a look, "what if the fountain was full of something worse, huh?" He grinned, "Well, just so you know, it was." Then proceeded to splash Noah wildly once he got in range.
....Once they cleaned up, he dragged himself out of the fountain. He grabbed Nuru off the ground and noisily sloshed as they began their journey back to camp. Stopping the journey suddenly as Noah took his arm. Noah had never healed him before. It was unusual but he held still while looking at Laz for the procedure and once it seemed to end... he looked at Noah with a surprised look on his face, "I didn't know you could do that." He smirked, "Nuru's huffing. He says his fur is sticking up like a porcupine now, but I have no idea how he can tell."
He sat with Noah when they made it back to camp and clapped a hand on his leg and turned as if he were about to say something when... darkness. Complete and absolute pitch black cast a veil over everything. He just stared. Stunned by it. Not expecting it until it simply was. There was only so much listening to manic panic Rep he could do in a day.

Just because he did some, didn't make the situation any less stressful. He could barely see and had to squint in the glow of dying lights just to get by. By some miracle, another stone burned bright again.
He started to feel glad he had done hundreds of these runes before.

It was hard to tell just what the giggling monster was plotting. It was jut kind of pacing around the group laughing aimlessly. Slowly it seemed to focus down on Shu. The flowing mist wrapped around her and she seemed to stand a little taller, good she would be able to handle the monster.
Sure enough once it got in range it lunged into action before being met with a thundering crash of a hammer weapon, toy or not Shu was still able to do work. The monster tumbled and spun before giggling again, its motions indicating it was moving towards Ace, and Roland was right there to get between them.
Just as the creature started to move towards the other Sun, Roland stepped in, his Scythe lashing through the air again, this time the bladed tip flying on it's chain as Roland whipped the weapon head across the infected sending it spinning mid lunge, it wasn't a perfect block, it was still standing and slashing at Ace but the blow was miss directed for the time being.
"Ace go for the legs slow it down so Jordan can crush it!" The curved blade of the scythe carved into the nigh fleshless calves, bringing the lady down. "Don't misunderstand, you're not my type, dear. It's just necessary. Maybe I should recommend you some high quality skin products, then you can attract some men." ANNOUNCEMENT
Overhead in the darkness there was a slightly crackly and off-key sound of the announcement jingle.
"Good Evening Shoppers." Rep sung. "What a lovely night it is, there isn't a star in sight, everything is black as the infected! It is practically poetry don't you think? It's all so wonderful. I am glad we can all be here together, working together as a team the way we always should have been! We can do everything together, whatever we face, we face as one! Live and die in united positivity!"
"I'd like to dedicate this announcement to those people out there helping others in the camp, I see you. I see you people, that little girl like, patching people up, being NICE! Melvin putting those runic abilities to good use too! I wish you all most excellent luck, because there's a rumbling down in the dark and it's getting louder!" he laughed as if this was very hilarious indeed.
"You civilians are running out time you silly billies, it's dark, so you should find yourself a white coated saviour or you are not going to have a very nice night at all, there will be no sweet dreams here if you don't listen to re-a-son. Thank you to Jack and his compatriots who brought in a little girl but I would liek to give a PSA for all you lovely people that runic nets are not meant to be used on civilians, our little friend was a waffle I'm afraid! She's in better hands now though!" He seemed to fall silent for a moment. "Oh! And don't touch them if you can avoid it, looking at youuu Cain. I am hoping that perhaps the dark might help our little Isaac and Nellie hit something since the light clearly was only giving them the inclination to redecorate, as professor Oak would say, this isn't the time for that! Same to you team messing around in the fountain. What is it with you people and fountains? Silly sausages the whole lot of you!"
"Oh oh! Jordan, well done finding one of the laughing ones, I haven't seen those yet, those are new. It would be really super positive though, you know... for all of us...if you wouldn't die out there to it. And watch those people, what I have seen of the laughing ones, they love to hug people who don't have shields, it's really friendly of them."

And the tone played, perhaps a little ominously in comparison to the silence it left behind.

The sound of squalling had pulled him away from the fortifications-- it was both distant and intermittent, muffled by a great deal of motion, groans of the green eyes, and combat. He followed the sounds, tripping over a flashlight and pocketing it in the process, ending on... A grim sight. Dispassionately, Kostya stepped over the former family of four, heading towards a wiggling lump of bloodied fabric. There was no point in hoping it wasn't a baby: he knew it was. He dropped to one knee to flip it over with the blunt edge of his weapon-- in case it was, somehow, a mimic zombie-- and was content to see that it was not. Without unsummoning, Kostya used his free arm to hoist the lumpy thing up, prompting it to start crying horribly again. "Vell," Kostya said, tone dry, "I vould advise not veeping so much. Ve must get you to Villiam." The baby, of course, took absolutely no heed of such instructions, and continued its hiccupping wails. He held the baby out at arm's reach, his gloved hand fisting into the back of its onesie to keep its alarmingly powerful lungs further from earshot. "How can vun baby be so loud, I am not understanding." There was a baby bag nearby, splattered with gore but mostly intact. "I guess you are maybe hungry?" he hazarded, setting the baby down on to a mostly-clean spot on the floor. It was old enough to sit up, at least, but didn't seem capable of doing much else. It was an ugly thing, as all babies were; soft and squishy, vaguely lumpy, and disgustingly snotty. Kostya grimly unzipped the bag, offering the baby a pacifier. He did not place it in their mouth, no: he simply held it out, expecting it to be intelligent enough to tell. It was not. Because it was a baby. After a moment it dawned on him that this was so, and so he unceremoniously shoved the plastic appeasement device into the baby's mouth. It settled down, although Kostya knew how fickle babies were. Or, well. He theoretically knew, from the consumption of popular media. He had never interacted with anyone below the age of five before in his teenaged or adult life. That much was pretty clear. The bag had formula, water, some baby food, and fresh diapers, which he hoped he'd not have to try and figure out while amidst the swarms of undead that were currently occupying the mall. With great indignance, the hunter shouldered the bag, picked the baby up, scolded it for shifting and wiggling too much in a stern manner, and set off to find Rep. The creature moved with jerky stop-motion movements, unnatural strain on twisted and bizarrely attached muscles, she was shaped like a human but everything about the way she moved screamed wrong, and now and then she would stop, frozen and stare at where the civilians had taken shelter, serpentine and fixed. When she did this, she did not seem to even register the blows that landed.
And then like the tsunami after a distant earthquake, she LUNGED, shrieking with laughter as she bolted from one person to another, enormous blades seeking out their soft and vital parts like a nightmare bolt of fury.
