Kikyo's Village and InuYasha's Forest are a pair of small, out of the way locations discovered by traveling southeast of Mt. Hakurei. The forest is said to be enchanted and home to many dangerous demons, whilst the village is renowned as one of the foremost spiritual centers and healing havens in all Gaia. Though poor and sparsely populated, Kikyo's Village was once home to a legendary priestess and even now plays host to several interesting residents.

There is said to be a strange monk residing somewhere in or near the village with powers and knowledge unique anywhere in the world. Anyone lucky enough to stumble upon this once-lost village might open themselves to learning some very interesting...and valuable...information.

Many months had passed since Jakotsu had come down from Mt. Hakurei with Malakai on his back in order to find the lost village of the Priestess Kikyo. Without the healing power of the priests and priestesses there, the effeminate warrior of the Shichinintai knew there was little hope for his friend and brother...so little, in fact, that he risked the journey down the mountainside to search for a place that hadn't been seen nor heard from in decades.

How surprised he was, then, to find the village untouched after all that had happened to the world around them. And to be greeted by that...that beautiful monk upon their entrance into the village...his spirits had been lifted immediately, knowing Malakai would be in good hands. In the weeks that followed, his faith in the monk would be justified, just as his friend would be nursed back to health by the young priests and priestesses.

Now, after months of fretting about and waiting (and being rejected by that monk over and over), Jakotsu had been told that Malakai was not only conscious, but healthy enough to be out and about once again. The news was enough to make him jump for joy! Hence he waited now outside the small hut of a clinic with his fingers twined together anxiously for his friend to emerge back into the world of the living.
