I just recently got this system and was wondering if anyone had any idea of which games to get. I have been playing Megaman ZX Advent like crazy, just got the ZX form. I've also started pokemon diamond. Fun stuff.

..What asde form Super Robot Wars W? I dunno. But that SRW has Voltron from what I understand... and that's pretty awesome.

Indeed, SRW W has Voltron (aka Golion), along with Gaogaigar, Tekkaman, Full Metal Panic, Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, and more SEED units then you could shake a stick at ^_^. Now if only I could understand japanese so I could follow the storyline <_<. Ah well, back to OG2 blaugh
I've been playing a bit of ZX Advent as well, but I've been focusing on Diamond, its truly the most complete feeling pokemon game since Gold and Silver 3nodding . My current team is Monferno, Staravia, Luxray, Bronzor, and Gastrodon (at least I think that's what its name was; the evolved Shellos). I'm not sure what I'm gonna add in for my 6th member yet; I was hoping for an Eevee to appear so I could get Leafeon or Glaceon ^_^. (For Eevee is the best pokemon ever, no questions asked <_<)
For other DS games, I would suggest Brain Age 2 (though I expect you got the package set that comes with it), as well as Front Mission. Its an old SNES SRPG with giant robots (like SRW, but more realistic units), and its got a good storyline. As well, they added a second story mode so you can play as the bad guys ^_^.
Also, don't count out the GBA games just yet; SRW OG1&2, Riviera: The Promised Land, and Yggdra Union, when you can find them, are all amazing RPGs (and will also have you resetting your DS constantly in an attempt to get past certain levels or unlock certain items/units). Sadly, the remakes of Riviera and Yggdra Union are coming out on the PSP, so DS fans get no love from Sting V_V (And I wanted english voice acting for Yggdra and Milanor so badly too crying )

I'm glad to see other SRW fans. I'll have to grab W, I have the alphas (not that I can read them) and the Ogs. I also have a few of the older SRWs, they're just so much fun that they're impossible to put down. Lately I haven't really had a chance to play the DS, my girlfriend has been playing Rune Factory like a maniac. I have found out that I absolutely love Hoshigami Remix. It is an amazing game after you get used to the controls. I didn't get brain age 2 since I got the red/black DS. Ah well. Mmmmm Golion is the best thing ever, I have been making sure to grab every volume I can.

I'm hoping that they go and make an OG3 someday. They've got OGs and OG Gaiden for the PS2, but neither of them are really a continuation in the series (well Gaiden does go a little further, but its more like a side story or alternate universe). And Rune Factory is supposed to be the new Harvest Moon game isn't it? But with a bit of Secret of Mana built into it ^_^. And I just learned that you need to complete the standard pokedex in Diamond and Pearl before you can get Eevee V_V.
