Blade of the Immortal
It is the Edo-era and gangs run wild. The school called Itto-ryo is runned by a radical man named Anotsu Kagehise, he has been destroying schools and trying to make his the one sword school in all of Japan. A young girl named Rin was caught up in this and lost her father and mother and in the last of her family’s sword school. Trying to regain revenge from what Anotsu did to her, she obtained a body guard. His name is Manji, a ronin. He has a thing called Kessen-chu. A blood worm that infects the host, healing the body making the person immortal, well technically. He must defeat 1,000 men for them to disappear.

Weapons:Aside from his high body count, one of the most notorious things about Manji is the number of weapons he carries with him at all times, earning him the nickname "Mister Twelve Blades." In addition to owning a number of his own, he sometimes takes weapons off of his defeated opponents. Below is a listing of his weapons including a short description of each and their previous owners.
Karasu (The Crow) - A pair of weapons that resemble large throwing stars, but with a hole in their centers allowing them to be spun on a finger for parrying or attacks. They were previously owned by Kuroi Sabato.
Shido (The Four Paths) - A pair of forked blades (sort of resembling bladed jitte) with holes at the pommel and hilt areas allowing them to be spun similar to the Karasu, or to be linked by a chain. They were previously owned by Shido Hishiyasu.
Imo-No-Kami Tatsumasa (Sister Defender Tatsumasa) - A pair of katana's forged by famed swordsmith Toratoru Kotetsu. The handles are removable, allowing for one blade to be attached to the pommel of the other. Previously owned by Saitō Tatsumasa.
Aun - A collapsible double bladed spear. Previously owned by Hage, a member of the Itto-Ryu.
No Name - A pair of sickle like blades linked by a length of chain (seven feet) that's fitted into their handles.
Sukehiro Amatsubaki (Rain Camellia) - A nihon-to forge by the master sword smith Sukehiro.
Kotengu (Little Devil) - A short forked blade, almost dagger sized, with one of the blades forming a hook. Frequently used by Manji for climbing things.
Okorobi (Man Toppler) - A large straight sword (club?) with multiple hooks coming off of it.
Merabi (Lady Gadfly) - A heavy looking sword with an odd wave like blade.
Bio: The fallen samurai Manji served the Hatamoto Horii Shigenobu, a local daimyo, unknowingly enforcing his brutal rule on the local populace until he found out his lord was corrupt and killed him. From that moment on he was considered an outlaw and hunted down by the same daimyo clan, eventually gaining the nickname "Hundred Man Murderer". He fled to his sister, to Machi's house forgetting that she had married an officer of the law, Saitō Tatsumasa. While evading pursuers Manji encountered Saitō Tatsumasa and the two faced off preparing to do battle when suddenly Machi appeared on the scene. Her arrival distracted Manji, who finally realized who is opponent was, giving Saitō an opening to attack. Saitō seized the opportunity and lunged forward attacking Manji. In desperation Manji defended himself but was unable to fully avoid Saitō's attack. The confrontation resulted in Manji's loss of an eye, Machi's mental breakdown and the death of Saitō Tatsumasa, who became the 100th man to be killed by Manji. From then on Manji dedicated himself to taking care of his sister. The exact events between then and the beginning of the series aren't known, but at some point during this time, he encountered Yaobikuni (her name literally means "nun of eight hundred years"), a mysterious nun, who offered him the kessen-chu, or sacred bloodworm's, which would provide him with immortality.

Name: Asano Rin
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Weapons: Golden wasps. (throwing knives)
Bio: The sole survivor of an Ittō-ryū massacre at Anotsu's hand and heir to her father's sword school, the "Mutenichi-ryū". She has mediocre swordsmanship skills but an intense desire to avenge the brutal death of her family. She hires Manji as her bodyguard in this quest. However, it's not as simple as that - Rin is constantly torn by doubt over the righteousness and validity of her mission. She comes into contact with Anotsu at one point, but his claim that she is becoming more and more like the Ittō-ryū as she progresses down the path of revenge causes her even more doubt. In recent chapters she realized she can't defeat Anotsu. She has found Anotsu again, and is now traveling with him hoping to catch him with his guard down. Anotsu is no fool and is fully aware of what she is doing; despite this he allows her presence. She has two weapons, a Chinese sword named Kutoneshirika which she carries in a Toju (purse-like scabbard of sorts), and a set of small daggers named Ogunchu (Golden Wasps).

Name: Anotsu Kagehisa
Age: not sure
Gender: Male
Weapons: Nepalese-based axe named Kabutsuchi (Head Hammer). The next is his rarely used sword of the same name
Bio: Leader of the Ittō-ryū. This emotionally cold young man has prodigious skill with the sword, and leads the Ittō-ryū in order to form a dōjō dedicated not to form and rules, but to the simple test of superior lethality. Brought up by an abusive grandfather (a swordsman disgraced by the Asano dōjō), Anotsu is as pragmatic and shrewd as he is deadly. He isn't as inhuman as originally believed, he even allows Rin to live after she attacks him, he's currently even letting her follow him everywhere.

~Give the person a chance to fight back.
~ None of this: He runs around behind him and kills him.
You break the rules Manji kills you.

Kyler sits down at the small road side shop and takes a deep breath. She looks down at a picture some old woman gave her a while back. " Were in all of japan could this guy be." She sighs finding no life in her to press on at this time, she orders food.

"Hm, he's cute." A voice said from far off, just kind of watching Kyler from where she was. From where Takeda stood, hidden in a nice deep brush, Kyler looked a lot like a male. Oh well. She shook her head and scanned the area, making sure it was safe. It seemed to be. Thank goodness, she might get some peace for once.

The waitress came back and handed her some food. Kyler paid her and bidded her off. "Lets see." She ran her finger down the map. "Were could he be hiding?" She sighed and ate one of the hot cakes.

Takeda just waited a while to make sure it was safe, then headed over to the little shop. She neatly hide her weapons and walked over, trying to look as innocent as possible. It wasn't too hard.
"Hey there," she smiled when she finally got close enough. "You're new in the area aren't you?"
