Do mods think browsing pages quick is botting? I had a thought, and I personally use "Tabs" to open more than one page of gaia. And be at different places at the same time.. :l For example one tab for the Market place and the other for the Exchange Forum <_<. But I don't know, it was just a thought, if they consider that like botting or whatever.

People have wondered about this before. We don't really know though. It seems to me though that if using multiple tabs was enough to get you flagged by a bot, this would be the biggest guild in Gaia.
At any rate, I'm pretty sure the Mods can't even see that sort of usage data. They seem to just know that someone has been marked as "banned for botting". It's the Admins and their somewhat questionable software that are deciding who's a bot.

i doubt that quickly browsing pages will be considered botting, as long as you are actually behind the computer, manually clicking on links.
we can only speculate what made gaia mark us for botting, even though as far as we are concerned, we weren't botting. the admins are not going to reveal their... um... selection strategies anytime soon because they don't want the "real" botters to find out how to circumvent the system. alas, that also means innocent people like us are kept in the dark, and we have no way of knowing if we will be banned again for something we did not do.

sometimes gaia doesnt load the first time i click to reload and have to reclick it a few times. but that doesnt mean I'm botting. shoot! is there even a sure way they can tell botting and manual clicking? I think they are just making assumptions about this botting thing. unless you go to the arenas and just keep typing"That's a pretty cool avatar" like a hundred times in a row, then that would be kinda obvious.

I have sent quite a few e-mails and pm's about my account, K Prime and with e-mails, they tell me nothing, basically. They never say I botted, etc. Just to wait patiently. And with pm's, only Gaidin has responded to me, but he's as blind as a bat with this issue. So I really have no clue how they associate bots with regular users still.

I don't know. But I know I do tabs all the time when I am on gaia (That was my guess why I got banned). I also fish a lot..<_< But I doubt that will be the reasons for my banning, since the other fishers were not affected on March 10th. As well as going to 2 different lakes at the same time using tabs. :l I was also wondering about that too.

It had never occured to me that that could be a problem, but I had just started wondering if maybe it was actually. But now I'm thinking not - after reading these Threads. And I fished a lot too. I am almost positive that's one of the reasons for my 'suspicious activity' - the fishing. When I got my account back, I noticed that I was minus about 10k gold. I didn't know why at first, but then I remembered reading somewhere that the bannings were still connected to the fishing, and then I remembered that I had earned almost 10k from selling my fish in the Marketplace.

Interesting - do you think that means they removed the gold because either they thought the fish were botted, or the gold was from a botting source?

Hmm. I fish a lot too. But when I got my account back, I had everything though. I already started trophy fishng this month with this account, but I will start next month with the mule..And if it was fishing, why were not the other trophy fishers affected by the banning at all?

I have to keep 2 windows open so I can refresh when I fish or play cards or puzzle or anything on here because if I don't I get logged out. Sometimes I forget to refresh a page after doing a bucket and I get logged off anyway.
Since this is a fact, how can it be considered against the rules if I get logged off if I don't refresh a page?
Oh, and I also lose buckets if I don't refresh a page. I usually keep a window with my friends list on it and the other window is my fishing or cards or puzzles, whatever I am doing at the time. Matter of fact, I lost 2 buckets last night. I am always losing buckets. O.o
