More completely, Billy Wilder's The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, if the name has any spectacular meaning to anyone. It has Robert Stephens playing as Holmes. Colin Blakely is Watson.

I got a real hoot out of this. Watson wasn't tubby, and he wasn't an idiot. His outbursts are hilarious though, when he calls Holmes a cad after suspecting that Holmes had taken advantage of a poor defensless woman, it made me spontaniously convulse with laughter, I swear.

Russian ballerina, Loch Ness Monster, and all the main charaters very well, aside from Mycroft being, ehm, disproportionate. Very fun.

Has anyone else seen this? If not, read some reviews or somesuch on amazon, it's really very good. If you have, talk away please!

I haven't seen it. I shall have to look it up, though. Do you know if it's available on DVD?

I like the idea of Mycroft being 'disproportionate'. xD

I was able to find my copy on DVD. Don't forget to check for the deleted scenes on the DVD, too. There are two extra stories that were not in the final version of the movie.

Yep. Mycroft is damn near slimmer than Sherlock in this one.

I found a torrent. burning_eyes That was... odd, to say the least. I severely disliked the way Mycroft was portrayed. He was far too active, and far too military. I thought he was supposed to be a red-tape bureaucratic sloth. Not... whatever the heck that was.

I did like the gigantic motorised Loch Ness Monster. xD That was hilarious.

I would love to have seen this movie as Billy Wilder originally designed it to be seen.
I have the DVD too. The extra material is fascinating.

The novelization was good too!

I'd love to get a hold of the extra material, but I'm cheap, and I can't find any torrents that aren't in .iso format, which invariably kills my computer.
