Beyond the world. Beyond known existance is a land called Arcadia. It was created and is now populated by the immortal Fae and their creations.
Arcadia used to one uniform land, until the rift between Light and dark occured, which splint it into two even parts. In the Light part of Arcadia dwell the Seelie fae. the land is bright and colorful with many flowers and few brambles. the castle of the Seelie court looks like marble and it is always warm. in the Dark part of Arcadia dwell the Unseelie fae. the land is stark and cloudy with dead trees and crawling ivy. the castle of the Unseelie court looks like it grew there from a thorny bush and is nearly indestructable.
When humans discoverd Arcadia they built a gleaming city on the border between the Light and Dark. This city is where they and the elves chose to live and they called it Faeopolis (for lack of a better name). here neutrality became known and other races sprang up because of it.
the Fae became disgruntled with this new faction and chose to obliterate it by banishing all humans and many human spawn such as halflings and half elves back to where they came from leaving only the faes chosen. despite this, neutrality flourished and the city grew. the high elves moved in and started to govern and the wood elves kept much to themselves with the new found freedom from the courts that neutrality gave them.
so now the three factions exist and will continue to exist. not to say there isn't strife, there are often skirmishes between factions either when Seelie or Unseelie attack the city, or when Light and Dark attack eachother. otherwise it is a peaceful land and we hope you will stay a while.
