I have given up hiding and started to fight Copy-pasted from someone I know's journal on another site:
"If you live in California please vote NO on Prop 8 tomorrow when/if you vote. It is a law trying to be pasted in California, that will make gay marriages illegal, and if they are already married, it will be annulled. And to put insult to injury, the couples will have to PAY for the annulment.
Please if you really do believe in Human rights, and/or Gay rights, please vote no on this. This will push all our hared work over the last year, back 10 years."
I mean... that's ******** RETARDED! Whether you believe gayness/gay marriage is against God or not, that's just evil. Seriously!

I've been pissed off about this for the last 2 months at least. I'm really pissed off at my church for being heavily into it. They helped the 1,000 signatures or what ever to get the ban going.
And you know what REALLY sucks? I see about 15-20 "Vote Yes On 8" signs for every one "Vote No On 8". Having a religion to back it up means more money on all the signs. On the way to school along the highway I see tones of them. In front of my school there are people holding up signs with their kids for the Yes vote.
I wish I could find a place to get a sign. All I could find are stickers. Also, I already did my voting on the 23rd of October.

I feel for you. But this is also why I don't wish to tie myself to a religion, or a church.
Also, make a sign yourself biggrin
And, it's not like normal weddings would stop happening just if gay marriage gets allowed stare

I'm not against it even though I'm religious but I think most of the people at my church are against it. I think it's BS but I can't help.

It is BS. And if it passes, I hope the gay and lesbian community will take to the streets. Hopefully along with a lot of straight supporters who realize the injustice of it.
