I would explain further, but I believe that the title says it all...
Post the ten best books you've ever read, or if you can't think of ten, try for five.
I suppose I will start.

I so can't even name five D :
But I did enjoy Libba Bray's books- in each one you could tell she grew as an author. The ending of that series was very good- not too happy but realistic.

But I did enjoy Libba Bray's books- in each one you could tell she grew as an author. The ending of that series was very good- not too happy but realistic.

BoomBot Ninja The Stranger sounds familiar...can you tell me what it's about? Would you recommend it? I would recommend it, only if you can bypass the main character's lack of likability. (Well..I like him, but that's because he's interesting.) It gives an interesting way of looking at things. The book wouldn't be fascinating at all unless you first considered nihilism and absurdism. Nihilism says that life is overall without meaning or value, but absurdism argues that life does have meaning and life does have value, except that humans would never be able to find it. It also poses the question of destiny vs. free will, so that's something else to keep in mind as well. It's hard to say what The Stranger is about since it's very subtle and traces no definitive plot. It starts off with main character Meursault commenting on the death of his mother. Following that, he begins a pseudo-romantic relationship with his co-worker Marie and then comes across his neighbor Raymond, who is a pimp. Naturally they befriend each other, and it goes on from there. (I don't want to spoil anything further..)

10 favorite books, I do have 3 book that I adore very much.
1. The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
2. Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice
3. Trials of Death by Darren Shan (another Vampire related book)
.. and there I go again with my obsession with Vampires sweatdrop
first it was witches now vampires.. rolleyes

I can't think of ten really, but some of my favorites are: I Am Legend, Dune, The Call of Cthulhu, Magician: Apprentice wasn't bad, World War Z, Mind Hacks was a good nonfiction...

I own most of these books because I only buy books that are actually good.
1. The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith ( Really like the whole vampire brothers want the same human girl thing. )
2. House of Night series by P.C. Cast ( They sorta make the vampires look like witches. )
3. Artemis Fowl ( Ah I love Artemis for being such a genius but yet a young boy for involving himself with fairies when he can use his IQ for something more adult. )
4. Wicked by Nancy Holder ( The heroine goes through a lot to save her family.
5. Interview with the vampire by Anne Rice ( I blame Lestat for making me love vampires.)
6. Maximum Ride ( reminds me of the X-men. )
7. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling ( I fell in love with Draco Malfoy.)
8. Judas Child ( Such a good mystery. )
9. Carrie by Stephen King ( The movie seriously disturbed me but the book gave me nightmares.)
10. The Scribber of Dreams ( Sorta of a modern Romeo and Juliet. )
