THE PEOPLE: Lit. Lvl 2
cheidette: [PM] I have been roleplaying quite a while, and reading even longer. I don't have the patience to do non-collaborative work, so roleplaying fits me. I love feeding off other's ideas and adding onto them. Mostly, I roleplay slice-of-life style works, but I like other things as well, so long as the plot catches my interest. Sadly, I have a rather hectic life and don't get to spend as much time focused on my creative endeavors as I'd like. I often end up distracted and vanishing, but am quickly revived once I'm poked or nudged about my lack of life. My characters range, depending on the plot, but they always take on a mind of their own, becoming their own person in my mind and deciding their own destiny. (There's a reason it's said that writing is a socially accepted form of schizophrenia--it's true.) That being said, characters that refuse to cooperate often end up withdrawn from whatever they're supposed to be in due to my frustration with their said lack of cooperation. I don't have the patience for characters that I can't make cooperate, I don't care if they do what I want them to do, as long as they aren't being elusive about what they're doing. I also don't have the patience for most one-on-one roleplays as all the one's I've been seem to die a rather uneventful death after becoming excessively redundant. (My roleplaying with ElegantSarcasm (found in my examples) is my main exception to all the rules. I'm not always at my most literate when working with her (we work out the plot before we start talking and she's one of my best friends, so I know if I miss something, she'll just ask), but those characters are some of my favorite.) Oh, speaking of characters, psychological depth in a character is one of my favorite things in the world. xD (Okay, done rambling and overusing my usually underused parenthesis now.) RP Lit Lvl. 2.8-4 (I mostly stay in the range of 3.4-3.8 though. It all just depends on the roleplay and how much time I have to dedicate to it.) Examples: Ashcreek & xXx
Knight_Cecil_Widowmaker: [PM] I used to RP quite a bit, but stopped for quite some time for RL reasons. I am now actively searching for good, new RP's (I hate joining in far into an RP, I feel like I need to catch up) My Character has qite a few forms but has a pretty constant personality. I generally like fantasy RP's with a little bit of romance. I can do 1 on 1 but greatly prefer small groups. RP Lit Lvl. (between 2 and 4) Examples: Limbo RP
REX725: [PM] I normally role-play male characters with a variety of personalities. From the goal-driven knight to the revenge-driven sniper, I've fulfilled a variety of roles. Perhaps more importantly, I stick with role-plays until their bitter, tragic and slow death. I won't enter your role-play and never post. I'll get involved with the storyline, or invent one, but I won't become an attention whore. I love a good plot and dramatic events, even if either of those two involves the death of my character. I don't create "Mary Sues" or auto-hitting gods. I have about a year's worth of role-playing experience, and am always on the lookout for a good RP. Feel free to PM me. RP Lit Lvl. 2-5 Examples: Birthright Omega, Survival, Catapult, Zellia
Hot Ryu Hayabusa: [PM] Well I pretty much just roleplay anything except threads people take from shows, vampire/werewolf etc. as well as any master/slave or common arranged marriages. I like the original ideas people have and usually look for demon/angels type subjects. It must have a good story. Now I tend to switch on my literacy levels. I have been good with writing atleast 3 long paragraphs at my best. RP Lit Lvl. 2-3 Examples: Rebellion
Mort Faux: [PM] I love to RP, ever since I found an old copy of D'nD in the attic. The methods are different here, but the idea remains the same; telling a quality story through the interaction of creative characters. I hardly do anything on Gaia other than RP'ing, so you can expect if I'm on, I'm either searching for an RP to join or going along with one I'm already a part of. I play either gender of characters, depending on how I feel; my males tend to be overly dramatic in a comedic sense or megalomaniacs, and my females go along the lines of tomboyish or calm, collected manipulators. As for what RP's I prefer; I like fantasy style RP's, though not as often as others. My favorite style would have to be Sci-Fi or Mecha, as long as it isn't Gundum or overly generic. In an RP, I always try to watch how others type and do my best to match the general style of RP'ing. This means that if each post is only a few sentences, That's what I'll type, although I much prefer the more elaborate and descriptive kinds. This is the reason I post such a wide range for level; I tend to conform to what the RP requires. RP Lit Lvl. 2-5 Examples: [Birthright Omega: Hearts] (I regularly clear out my subscribed threads, so only one for now)
Saru Doodle: (or Sky) [PM] Is a twisted rocker and could care less what other people say about her. She hates haters. And her favorite logo is a clown head. Pretty much the gist of it. RP Lit Lvl. I'm a 2 or 3 Examples: Sets in the corner with her black squishy head phones in her ears. Bobbing her head slightly from her favorite song as she watches everyone else go on with their life. About a half minute later she reaches into her bag and pulls out a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. Continuing to enjoy her music she starts chowing down on one of her favorite sandwiches.
HunteriumTheSixteenth [PM] ((This would be my second time RPing in Gaia, though I had roleplayed in some other sites, mostly in Romance of the Three Kingdoms simulators http://simrtk.net, www.rtkonline.net, and www.simdomain.net/wotd/index.php. This is how we do OOC there.)) Once upon a time, there ruled an emperor in a land called Neotopia, but in his weakness all was managed by his advisor Hunterium Pendragon Lanzaderas. This was also a time of feudal warlords, and Drake had solicited the help of four kings to help him ensure the stability of the empire. RP Lit Lvl. 2-4 ((Judge my RPs first.)) Examples: ((All are Non-Gaia sites.)Wan Kou's recruitment (I am Wan Kou)

THE PEOPLE - Lit. Lvl 3
Ryu teh Ryu: [PM] I roleplay mostly male characters, and I like to experiment a little with each one's background and personality. I'm in total love with superhuman/superpowers roleplays, but my second favorites are straight fantasy/sci-fi roleplays. I'm intrigued by mythology, steampunk, and superhero/supervillain themes. I don't care for school roleplays, but I may join them, and prefer playing teachers over students. I won't roleplay bands, I don't like typical "vs" roleplays, and I typically stray away from series-based roleplays (unless it's Zoids or something that uses an idea and not a plot or characters). I generally type two to four paragraphs of straightforward body per post in a roleplay, because I'm not used to implementing excessive detail. I write the way i do because I find it pleasurable to read - though I will admit that I have backwards/Yoda grammar sometimes. I will NEVER roleplay with people who neglect punctuation or grammar, and I'm ONLY available for group RPs, not 1-on-1s. RP Lit Lvl. 3-4 Examples: [Pirates for Xanadu] [Kinetics] [Seeking Freedom] [The Aed] [Pσtєstαs Iηfιηιtum - hєrσєs]
Shaoin: [PM] I like to keep my numbers of each gender about even throughout all of my roleplays, though if I ever have more of one, it's probably females. My characters tend to be aggressive, opinionated people, with varying levels of awareness of their own flaws. There are, of course, exceptions to that generalization. From time to time I'll play a pacifist or someone without any strength to speak of, either physical or moral, but all of my characters are more than what they seem to be on the surface. Primarily, I keep to fantasy storylines, though I'll cheat on the genre with science fiction from time to time. Do not approach me with anything series-based, since I have experienced nothing but disappointment there, and the recent surge in vampire stories has left me less than excited. If you're considering inviting me to anything even vaguely reminiscient of Twilight, don't bother. I'll just laugh. One last thing; my characters swear, because I swear. And I get rather detailed with my violence. If you have a problem with that, it probably wouldn't be the best of ideas for us to work together. RP Lit Lvl. Ranges from 3 to 5, depending on what I'm given to work with. I'm most comfortable in the upper 4 area. Examples: {snοωdrор} [Mϊnd ovєг Mąττєг]
Ravyn_Striker: [PM] Alright so, bio, here goes. I can roleplay either gender with little preference, though like Shaoin, if I make more than one character the girls will usually outnumber the men. My females tend to be strong-willed independent leader types or the opposite end of the spectrum, that is the mostly pacifist healer. My males range from the noble to the moderately creepy though most of them are good guys at heart. I'll admit, I do 'evil' characters much better when they're female than when they're male. Favorite genres are mainly fantasy, as I've had bad experiences with the academy/real life types. I don't do series stories. Period. Personally, if you like the story that's great, but I don't think that ripping off other peoples' work to do what you want with their characters is right. Call me crazy. Also, I probably won't join any rp that has a either really basic or really over done storyline. There's no fun in it anymore. For example, angel-demon war, lycan-vampire war, school for gifted people etc. I wouldn't say I swear alot, but I do use it. I can tone up or tone down on swear/gore whatever as is appropriate for the character and the story. RP Lit Lvl. 3-5 ish. Not usually five, though I can do it, I prefer not to, mostly because I rarely have time to take forty minutes per post. I avoid one line posts as a rule. How can you possibly expect someone else to work off that? Examples: [My Safety is in My Silence] [For What Would You Sell Your Soul?]
Ayanami_Elena: [PM] So, about how I roleplay. Let's see... I mostly play female characters, though I am working on some male personas. I prefer to play fantasy games with emphasis on vampires and werewolves. In real-life, I play table-top RPGs: Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade, Mutants and Masterminds, and many others... That being said, my vampire characters are not based on Twilight (which I have not read, so that would be hard to do). My character's differ greatly, ranging from nut-cases (Malkavian vampire) to kind-hearted thieves. I don't do series based roleplays. RP Lit Lvl. 3.5 Examples:Untitled Vampire Roleplay, Tides of Dawn, [The Aed] Tetra Colors Viridiana_Sovari: [PM] I rp'd a bit for about 2 years and stopped, now I'm trying to do more rp's to get me back on track,I might be rusty. RP Lit Lvl.: 3.5 Examples: N/A
Noxtis: [PM] Hm...How long have I roleplayed...I've roleplayed since I was five. Actually roleplaying with orther people and being good at it was actually when I turned ten. Eh-heh. I'm one of those people cannot seem to find a roleplay. When I do, either all the slots are taken or it's too late. I take time to build my characters. RP Lit Lvl. - I believe I am at a 3.5, with anyone better I tend to strive to make my posts better. Examples: N/A, I have none at the moment to give.
hangedman1984: [PM] I have played real-life tabletop rpgs for years. My tastes generally range from classic high fantasy games(such as dnd) to modern dark fantasy style games(like the white-wolf games). I've never rp'ed in an online game but am interested in trying something more open and less rule-focused then most tabletop games, so my friend (Ayanami Elena) pointed me in the direction of this guild. RP Lit Lvl. I'd probably put myself at about a 3.5 Examples: No online roleplaying experience yet
Death Shikaku: [PM] I'm not a big fan of romance roleplays, I'm more of a fighting fan. I hate when people use the K.O. Hammers. So lame... and what really gets on my nerves is- wait, I'm going a little too far off topic. Anyways, I don't mind if people post a wall o' text, at long as it's not too huge. I prefer quick posts, about 10-15 minutes after I post a reply, but it's perfectly fine if they take longer... if I don't get a reply, I usually just log off and check back the next day, and continue until they reply. I don't care much, really. If the posts are a sentence, they're not as... well, fun to read. I like about a paragraph or so, unless the sentence or whatever include enough information... Oh, before I forget, my roleplaying character's name is Tai Hyugamaru. Call him Tai... okay, enough of my talking, let me get on to the roleplaying level and examples, now... RP Lit Lvl... I'd rate myself about a 3.5 to 4.0. It depends who I'm with and what they post... sometimes my intro may be a little long... Examples: 천국 나락 [Heaven's Hell] - Not roleplaying, it's more of a story I've been writing, Creatures Castle Sanctuary.
Saki Ree: [PM] Role playing has pretty much taken over my life as a Gaian. But, when it comes down to joining a role play or being in a role play, I either forget about it or get lost in the plot. So usually I'm in at least one, two, or three role plays, but it's usually just one, unfortunately. Usually, it's hard to find a role play that suits me. I'm pretty picky when it comes to them. Twilight, high school, impossible-to-keep-up sci-fi--role plays such as that really don't interest me. Fantasy, though, keeps me very occupied. So does role plays based on SOME shows, but the only one that I've joined that's like that is Naruto . . . And I hate Naruto now, but I adore the role play. Weird, huh? RP Lit Lvl. (3.5 (but it really all depends)) Examples: NNG
Twilight Crucifix: [PM] Hello, everyone! I am Twilight Crucifix - NOT named after the book series! I have been Roleplaying on Gaia almost since I joined two years ago. I will post in almost any kind of RP - I do NOT do yaoi or ANYTHING related to twilight! I am best at Fantasy or University Roleplays, but I am willing to try my hand at any number of different kinds. One thing you should know: I have a slight God-modding issue, which I am usually able to keep under control. Also, most of my posts air on the side of short-ness, especially when nothing is going on. RP lit. Lvl. ranges from 3 to 4, depending on various factors. Examples: Health and General Warfare: A hospital/ Mob RP Battleground: Earth! ( a crossover RP)
JOHNNY THE BAGPIPE v2: [PM] I've been a literate roleplayer for six years now. (Eek!) I'm a bit old-fashioned in that I consider an average of 1-3 paragraphs/post as being literate. I've done every subject under the sun, and I'm willing to do anything (some things with a little nudging) except anime/book/movie based (with a few rare exceptions.) I stopped roleplaying on sites like this for about a year, but I'm trying to get back into it. <3 Generally I play males, though I'm capable of females as well. I like to play in atypical settings, and I hate having every bit of the plot planned out ahead of time; let's go with the flow. I generally don't use profiles or pictures, but I'm okay with using them if you prefer it; like I said, I'm pretty oldschool about my roleplaying, back when you could jump into an open slot and just go. At the moment, I prefer one on ones, but I'm open to groups. I usually double, but I don't expect you to. RP Lit Lvl. Slightly above 3. (Averaging 3 paragraphs per post, depending on what I'm given to work with.) Examples: *cough* I don't have any. >3>
MewMeori: [PM] I've been role playing for about a year. I'm more use to chatplays, but I can be literate. RP Lit Lvl.:Uh, mabye a three. Examples: Really like doing fantasy rps. I also like rps based of anime/manga/videogames. I'm fine with anything fiction really.
Maia Hart: [PM] I could fairly say that I am an author, though not of particularly high standing. From my childhood, my instructors always had good things to say of my writing ability, and I sought to fashion works of outstanding intricacy. Oddly, I wasn’t fond of writing on my own. It was a windfall that I found Gaia and, along with it, a substantial quantity of writing companions. In this community, I put forth a cornucopia of fictional publications that vary dynamically in basis and spirit. My typical plots and protagonists contrast starkly, for I am apt to consciously modify my approach from story to story. Still, I hold a bias toward accounts of magic, villains, and fantasy. Additionally, my protagonists usually maintain shards of a cryptic, painful past. I wish to polish my skills in your company, so forward any fitting applications my way.
In that last paragraph, you shall not find that which hangs its hat ‘twixt consonants D and F.
RP Lit Lvl. Between 3 to 5, usually around a 3.8 Examples: The Tavern League of Special Individuals(Mariana) League of Special Individuals(Secret)
Endless Skies / Masiro Himeyuri: [PM] I’ve been role playing since I discovered how to use the internet… About six years ago. I mostly roleplay as male characters… In fact, I think I’ve only roleplayed as a girl once. Speaking of which, the majority of roleplays I’m in are Yaoi, but I’m very versatile and open to almost anything besides Twilight plots. I will admit that my characters always seem to have some sort of strange phobia or disfigurement, from being afraid of touch to not having the ability to see and speak. I can have problems coming up with an idea for a post, and sometimes I’m busy with my part time job, but I would always private message you if something came up. My literacy is about a 3.5 to 4 out of five. The length of my posts depend on my mood and how tired I am (I work a lot and have insomnia), but I usually don’t post under three paragraphs unless I notice other people's posts getting shorter. The problem is I’m extremely self-conscious of my writing and I sometimes have trouble describing in heavy detail. Examples: Sweeter the Addiction, New Hope Orphanage, Eyes covered by hate, Eyes Graced by Morphine.
Stakeout5: [PM] I tend to make a lot of male characters, and my females tend to be tough, strong willed, "un-girly" girls. I enjoy fictional roleplays usually, due to the fact that I use my vast imagination when writing. I'm sorry, but some neighborhood Nancy Drew storyline just doesn't cut it for me. The only fantasy roleplays that I can't stand are werewolves/vampires roleplays that are all-so common now. Don't get me wrong, the races are great, I enjoy being a werewolf in multiracial stories, but that is multiracial, being different. When it comes to my characters, I tend to make either seemingly cold or mischievous characters. I like to make good, evil, or selfish characters at random so that no one really knows my true intent at the beginning (hehehe). I honestly fear bad grammar and spelling more than death, so you will not see me playing with anyone like that. I also will not play in 1 on 1s (they're no fun). RP Lit Lvl. 3-4 Examples: Being that this is a new account because my old one is evil, I will give examples when I get into a roleplay.
ShejiKakes: [PM] Roleplaying is what brought me to Gaia at 12, and now, 5 years later, its still something I enjoy doing. I have always been fond of high school roleplays, but every once in a blue moon I'll go out of my way to do mythical/sci-fi ones. I have not roleplayed in a while, but I'm always looking for a good one to join (though, my luck is not the greatest, so I never find any that strike any interest.) I usually always play a female role, but I do so love playing the perverted male figure every once in a while; it adds flare and comedy. I'm not against 1 on 1's, but I do prefer an atmosphere where I can engage in many different characters. I like shoujo-ai/yuri themed roleplays, but oddly enough, cannot do shounen-ai/yaoi themed ones. My ideal role is being a villian, and not just the insane kind either. :3 RP Lit Lvl. Between 3 and 4, not to much yet never to little. Examples: I don't have any quiet yet, but please don't be afraid to ever just start up something small to see how hard I work!
Twilight_Tatsumi: [PM] Ah, well, RolePlaying was the start of my Gaian life. I remember the first time I RP-ed, with my mentor, Hikari_Valentine, on my first of three accounts. That was...about three years ago or so, and since then, I've become a better writer. Generally speaking, I like to write as a female character, whether she's an adolescent, a child, or an adult, however, I'm open to playing the male characters. If you want an overly emo person, I can give it to you. If you want the happy-go-lucky, I can give it to you. If you want the cute-but-evil-dictator type, I can do it. If you want the heartbroken-loser or the lovesick-idiot or the hopeless-romantic, you can expect me to fulfill. On another note...I like Shoujo-type roleplays, mostly involving love and romance and occasional fighting, but no roleplays entirely based off of fighting...none of that. I'm pretty updated on Naruto, Prince of Tennis, but none of that InuYasha or Bleach for me. RP Lit Lvl. I'm thinking somewhere between a 3 and a 5; depends on what you want. If you want a literature level 5 post, then I will spend up to an hour making that post, but if not, I'll usually type anything from 2-5 paragraphs of good grammar and spelling. Unless the rare writers' block hits. Examples: Green Vale High And I'll get more as soon as I join more RPs...
MelaneeWhittaker: [PM] I can roleplay as pretty much anything. Males, females, herms, creatures from other worlds and such. the only roleplays I will not do are ones where I have to use a gun or play as a werewolf. I am a cat. I do not like dogs. I can easily adapt to any situation I am given, yet if I am free to 'control' the roleplay, I tend to end up accidentally seductive with most of my characters. o.O RP Lit Lvl. Changes depending on the material I am given. If I know it, long reply. If I ahve no clue what is going on, short reponse. Examples: Sadly I do not save my roleplay works, as I feel very modest. sad
Poppci: [PM] I'm more of an author then an Rper some times. I love to write FAntasy, Grim, experimental, circus, freak, tourture, Yaoi (mild), and Vampire. I'll try almost anything once. RP Lit Lvl. 3. I can be very literate if i want, but it depends on my mood. Examples: { Sanctome } { Atlantis } AWWANNABE
MusicTiempoCyn:[PM] I began roleplaying about three years ago, and I call myself literate. I don't quite understand the difference between advanced literate and literate, but I suppose under the right circumstances, I can churn out whatever you want. I roleplay practically anything; especially fantasy and action, both usually tend to have light undertones of romance, although that's not necessary. However, I veer away from slave/master, pirate, vampire genres. Yaoi is fine with me, yuri is out, because, well, because I don't play females. I'm on most every day, and I have the tendency to become idle. So I may still reply and then slip offline again. The only thing I do on Gaia is roleplay, so I'm either replying to something or chatting in the OoCs of threads. My characters tend to be either arrogant jerks, cold loners, or naive children. I roleplay strictly guys - I don't really care if you think that's weird, because my female characters are lame. I don't do them justice. RP Lit Lvl. 3-5 I require thoughtful responses to keep up a level 5 amount going though. Examples: sтɣℓє
~Cha~rly~: [PM] I can do really any RP that I'm given, but I will only do male characters. I love to RP with original characters, and will not I repeat not do an existing character. I do not mind series based RP's so long as they've come up with their own plot. I like gore, violence, and sometimes being evil. RP Lit Lvl. 1-5, I prefer to do 3-4. I started with a guild the RP'd at a lvl 1, and have done posts in my own guild that are at lvl 5. Examples: Youkai High - Long RP area & Youkai High - Start of guild plot
Lily_Bell: [PM] I play male or female characters, neither of which give me a problem, and I usually play what would be the equivalent of a 'side character' my character usually doesn't command the spot light from some of the more dramatic 'main character' like characters. Mostly they're like a good supporting cast. My post length is more reflective of the mood. Funny = a little shorter. Grave = A little longer. I really like RPs where the cast is largely gender balanced and tend to veer away from the ones that have 20 female characters and 5 males. Often times, I'll play more than one male character in the RP, but often like to have just one female to play with too. Though my characters make a great supporting cast, I've also spent a lot of time developing them. Some people get put off if my character starts out with personality flaws. I like my character to grow and develop over the course of the story, so often they will start out with some kind of personality flaw that works itself out over time. My motto is "Flaws are fun." I am the anti-mary-sue. As far as plots go I'm not insanely picky. I need to really be hooked with a good premise, but after that I'll be a loyal contributor. I to tend to lean more towards fantasy and modern-times based sci-fi but if it's really good, I'll play around with futuristic. Romance is cool and all, but toss me a bone, some action I can work with! RP Lit Lvl. #3, 4 + I have the capacity to do 5, but I'd like to keep it more simple, like 3 or 4. Examples: I posted some samples on my test thread.)
Anomaline: [PM] 20 years old, though I've been off and on RPing since I was 13 or so. I've been aspiring to write novels for a long time now, and I figure at the very least I can start practicing my writing again this way. I've got particular interest in high fantasy settings, I.E. Tolkien-esque, for lack of a better example - with, more specifically, magely types, though I diversify or completely change that depending on my mood. I also have much more interest in original stories than RPs based off other sources. As well, I'm only interested in doing group RPs, not individual. RP Lit Lvl.: 3-5ish. I generally try not to flood things with description if it's not necessary, so I'm more comfortable in the lower range. Examples: Nothing of note, right now.
BD Veloco [PM] I Roleplay with mainly male characters, but i have a few female characters in the past i have Rp with, i usually bring characters from a story i was writing into a new Rp that would fit the Rp best. the only Rps i do are fantasy, i tried other types and they don't appeal to me as much as fantasy does, i love Academy Rps and War Rps. if i like the Rp alot i'd use my Main character from my stories, BD Veloco ((yes that is also my username)) but i use a lot of different characters, sometimes i do make new ones though, i started alot of Rps and i have the worst luck with my Internet going down for a while. I HATE Rps that branch off from anime or movies, i mean...wheres the creativity in that?! i like to post at least 3 line post, sometimes i might do two but it just really depends. and i seem to kinda like Rps with the characters picture is on the side with the post, so you know who is talking. i can go on forever but since this was supposed to be short ill just end it here. RP Lit Lvl. 3-4 occasionally 2 if i'm lazy Examples: Bloodless Time Koi Sensou (a School of Light (V.S) Darkness)
phantomkitsune [PM] I've RPed on and off for years, and am trying to get more into it now because I'm colossally bored. I RP almost exclusively female characters, because I'm just better at them, but I do RP a fairly wide range of female characters. I'm not a big fan of fighting RPs unless they have a fairly heavy psychological/political component, and I tend to get bored with RPs with eighty billion people in them (you don't really get to know the other players). Other than that, I'm open to any kind of RP with an interesting concept. RP Lit Lvl. 3-4.5 (flowery detail will make me stab my eyes out) Examples: Beta Test -bottom
Dead_Heart_King: [PM] Well lets say I love to RP. God I love to get lost in th e stories. started out barely reachching a two lines perpost. Impoving a lot still to a minimum of a microsoft page per post minimum. I may not be a writing god but man to I love to write origanal stories. I hate copied stuff from books, movie, shows, etc. IT kills me. Nothing to work with for me. I love the from scratch stuff where everything is free to mess with the entire settings. My favorite is fantasy. Man it's so much fun to have random creatures, magic, fighting, the works. Enough about me, take a look about what I can do. RP Lit Lvl. 3-5 Examples: Test Thread
CosmoNut 499: [PM] RP Bio: RPs are the primary reason I came to Gaia, and the only reason I remain here. While most of the RPs I participate in are my own or those of my friends, I often take to perusing Barton Town and occasionally stumble upon a random one that catches my interest. I tend to see RPs as a sort of "Multiplayer Mode" for writing. RP Lit Lvl 3-4 Examples: Most of my more recent characters and RPs have been military-oriented, though I have numerous, more original characters and settings I have employed or have in stock. Iron Skies: Battle over Austeria, an air combat/ political RP. Currently active. PARASITES series, a trilogy of RPs, the third of which- set in a post-apocalypse setting- is currently active. Chronicles of the Cosmic Genome, a by-now aged, short-lived Sci-Fi RP that I plan to resurrect sometime in the future. Pariah, another RP idea I plan to eventually reuse- a fantasy world with a certain secret, which was never revealed in the original RP given that it died before such time. Last Frontier, a realism-based astronaut RP. Also long-dead. Tokyo 2150: One of my earlier RPs, focusing on the issues brought about by multiculturalism in a small area, inspired by the plot of Battlefield 2142. Died about two years ago.
Music_Essence [PM] The Typical roleplays I join would range from war, romance, adventure, apocolypse (Rarely find good ones), and vidieo game and tv show based roleplays RP Lit Lvl. 3.5 Examples: Some Roleplays I'm in Currently: Prototype: Retrace Your Memories TWEWY H&HC New
darkboy52: [PM] i have roleplayed for quite a while first starting when i signed up for gaia. i then got into the game of d&d which helped my roleplaying skills alot. i have recently been looking for a roleplaeing guild cuz i miss roleplaying on here ;D i belive i have found the right one RP Lit Lvl. 3 Examples: Dont have any links but i usually play as a character named Lance who's character traits vary depending on the roleplay.
Pools of Crimson Tears: [PM] I guess I'll start like this, you can call me Pools, Crimson, Tears, or anything else for that matter as long as I know you're reffering to me. I'm 15, and have been on gaia since I was ten years old, on and off though. I started Role playing when I was eleven and have loved it since. I do so many different types of RP's that it'd be a whole lot easier to just say what I will NOT do, this is a decent list but not huge; Twilight, most anime, slave and master, yaoi, and yuri, military based, certain other series. My favorite things to role play are; Vampire, Harry Potter, Fantasy, Mid-evil Wars and some schools. I will do private RP's but not through PM and I'd rather have multiple people.I haven't been back on gaia for long, bout five or six months, and all I've been RPing is Harry Potter so that is all of the examples I have. In my journal I have a few of my former characters. RP Lit Lvl. I'd say somewhere between 3.5 and 5. I try to have at least two paragraphs per character per post. Examples: Harry Potter RP, Again Harry Potter
Virgil Icaruus [PM] The majority of my roleplaying characters are male, although I am capable of playing females. I try to avoid yaoi, bands and school threads. I am a VERY active roleplayer when I find one I like. I almost never give up on any roleplay unless it is highly unpleasant for me. I try not to get sucked in to the stereotypical roleplays(i.e.vampires) but if they have an interesting enough story I often will become interested. I play evil characters rather well and can get VERY nasty when I'm playing an evil character(i.e. a lot of blood, killing innocents and children, torturing victims). I also am capable of playing the part of antagonists though. I also play every variation in between. The difference between antagonists and evil characters for me is that antagonists are against the "main character" but are not truly evil, whereas evil characters are those guys that are so bad that they would probably be on Death Row fifty times over in the real world. I can also play the part of the hero quite well. My RP characters take on a range of characteristics, from goofy, silly characters to ruthless and brutal and every combination in between. My characters swear at times when you would expect them to but do not overdo the swearing in most cases. RP Lit Lvl. 3-5 but most comfortable in upper 4 Examples: Mists Of Shadow
KazeYami: [PM] So, hi there! I'm Kaze. Um, the basics! Right! I like to do male characters, mostly, even though I'm a girl. That means, I can do females, even enjoy it sometimes, but they usually come off pretty dominating. I love fantasy, scifi, and occult type roleplays. Especially the kind with a plot and a lot of action! However, I find that I abhor most romance based roleplays or the kind where you are ambiguously paired with other RPers or where you have to fill in a premade. Other than most of that stuff, I like everything and have a couple of years of experience under my belt. And, I'm hoping to get loads of invitations to awesome roleplays. RP Lit Lvl. 3-5, depending on how much I'm given to go on by my RP partner and how engaged I am in the roleplay (my posts definitely drift off in to one liners when I'm bored until I just disappear all together) Examples: lament de Meldorf, World's Extended, Project: ANGELS
Neko_Lenore: [PM] I'm a fairly experienced role-player and I've been a part of it since I was about 12 or so (so about 6 years), and I've run three different role-playing guilds and countless role-playing threads, though none of them have been particularly successful. I usually play female characters, but I do male characters as well on occassion. My favorite types of RPs are fantasy, especially modern sci-fi, medieval fantasy or pretty much anything dealing with magical or mystical creatures. I really like deep, intriguing, and twisting or inter-twined plot lines over action, though I enjoy adventures. Also, I don't like to play with other people's pre-made characters. RP Lit Lvl. 3 or maybe even 4 if I do say so myself, though I've been known to throw out one-liners when I don't feel like I have much to go on. Examples: Shattered Memories .:;Echo;:. Haven ~ School of Chaos The Veiled Region Haven ~ School of Chaos (original) The Meaning of Alive
Remy-cake: [PM] I've been roleplaying for more years than I really care to admit. My style is casual most of the time, I don't molest the thesaurus for synonyms, preferring just to get the point across. You won't have to Google any words in my posts (probably) unless I'm with a group who does so, as I mimic styles when necessary. If you're doing small posts, I shall as well; if your posts take up half a page, so will mine. Fantasy is my specialty, Medieval preferred, but I can do just about anything original. Fan RP is a different story, I only do non-canon and I'm very, very picky about which ones I take part in. I've been trying to get back into RP lately, as it's been a long time since I've taken an interest in any. The more interested I am the more active I am - if I get bored, I tend to leave. It's just how I am. RP Lit Lvl. (Between 3.5 and 5, I try not to make any grammatical errors, my spelling is almost impeccable, but length depends on what I'm given to work with - anywhere from 1 paragraph to 9.) Examples: Insofar, all I have are guild examples, but as they're both public I hope it's alright: [x][x]
Queen Sakon [PM] Um...Hello. My name is Queen Sakon, but I mostly go by the name Sakon. Anyway...my roleplaying style sort of varies from time to time. I cannot bring myself to do more than four paragraphs at a time, but I will if I am describing something with a lot of detail. My post range around one meaty paragraph if I have writers block, to about six rather skimpy ones (I've only done that once...). I usually post around two to three paragraphs normally, each length varying on the character I play. I mostly use my Oc, Avarith, in my roleplays...but, I have a tendancy to make up characters on the spot. My roleplaying character depends on my own mood sometimes...but, for the most part my Oc herself is quiet, young and shy. Surprisingly powerful, but modest as well/ RP Lit Lvl. Hmm...I'd say about a 3. I don't have the skills to pay the bills...but I can roleplay decently if I say so myself :3 Examples: My better roleplaying examples are found on a roleplay known as 'The Game' made by Titty McNipples (yes, that is her username xD).
_XxLittlexLaciexX_ [PM] Roleplaying is definitely at the center of my Gaia life, although admittedly I’ve been fairly inactive as of late. I can roleplay multiple characters at a time and of both genders. My characters often range from anywhere between the ages of ten through twenty-five. I enjoy almost all types of roleplays; my only exception is sci-fi or anything to do with space and advanced technology. Anything else (anime, fantasy, schools, romances, etc.) is A-okay with me. I am most available in the summer, but if necessary I could attempt to post at least once a week. RP Lit Lvl. I prefer roleplays that are 3.5 and up, but the occasional 3 is okay. It really just depends on how interested I am in the topic. Examples: (Listed either under _XxLittlexLaciexX_ or Lilac24) Contractor *Demon RP*, School of Mystic Pets (Re-Opened), School of Mystic Pets, There’s Darkness Within (A Vampire Roleplay), Saint Beaumont Boarding School
Vincent the Tormented: [PM] I'm an RPer who tends to enjoy Sci-fi action, Series based originals and similar types of roleplays. RP Lit Lvl. 3 I think Examples: Objects of Desire, ~:~Childeren of Midgar~:~
Novadestin: [PM] I have been roleplaying for something like 10 years now but the last few years it has been off and on. I am very much a character rp'er, I could never just randomly throw together a couple paragraphs for a character profile and go. All my characters have thorough and complex back stories and personalities and they are played that way. Speaking of characters, I prefer to only rp with people who understand that an immortal/powerful character does not automatically mean they will be god. I hate godmodding just like everyone but I also understand that if a character's been around for 300 years, their going to be pretty smart. Anyways, that's a discussion for later.
I generally do medieval, fantasy, etc based rp's and have several different fandoms I will do (Stargate, X-men, Harry Potter, etc.), however I am not much into school, romance, futuristic, etc based rp's and obviously won't rp any fandoms I don't like (Naruto, Twilight, etc). I like to rp in groups because it makes things more complex and interesting but one on one is perfectly fine too. I enjoy rp's where the characters get to make up the plot as they go. Usually I play female characters but I also have a few males too. I never play pre-mades or canon characters.
Technically stuff: I am a literate rp'er who can post anywhere from 3-6+ paragraphs at a time depending on how much I am given to work with. I would say a 3-4 but it various. Examples: Old medieval fantasy RP
Art Shudium [PM] Oh boy -=sigh=-, I have not done this in a while so excuse me if it's a bit rocky. Anywho, as you can see, I am Art Shudium (Art for short) and I love to rp. As of late, however, I haven't found much time to do it sad
I am an aspiring video game designer, and one of my favorite perks to creating games is creating a good story and so I often created RPs as a way to get various ideas all at once. I have a solid 6 years of forum based roleplaying experience under my belt and learned the ins and outs of creating and driving along a well plotted story. I'm hoping to have a good time with all you other roleplayers out there!
Examples of roles that I've played: Villian Hero Plot Device character Teacher/Trainer/Leader Student Cannon (aka actual characters from a premade series)
RP Lit Lvl. 3...until I get back in the swing of things ._. Examples: ...
Tycinai [PM] Not much 2 say, i love roleplaying i guess. RP Lit Lvl. 3 detail 4 correctness what is asterisks...(#1-5, 1=asterisks, 5=length, detail, correctness.) Examples: sorry i cant find many examples on this particular site, but here is an example...
Tyce turned, there was a sparkly glint in his blue eye as he turned gently towards _______, He looked down, and tended to stare into far away objects..."Hello?" Said an un-known voice, "Is anyone there?" Tyce jumped, the cold and silent room echoed the slitest sound, whoever was there began walking closer to him. The footsteps were fast and strong, Tyce's instincts told him to run, the feeling wasn't right.
YinWolf: [PM] I usually portray male characters and my characters are usually rather short and in their twenties. I usually roleplay in fantasy roleplays, but I'm not against trying new things. My characters will usually have a funny quirk and tend to revolve around their job. Their jobs either has something to do with mechanics or restaurants. their personalities are usually varying, but tend to be quiet in nature. RP Lit Lvl. 3 Examples: [The Aed] | The Engel Project
Zeneath: [PM] I've been around since Gaia was first starting out. I have seen how Gaia has changed grown and morphed into something that I must says is amazing. I have been in all kinds of RPs and hope that even though I'm an old geezer I can still Rp and bring to life some of the Rps we find out there. So looking forward to rping with you all. RP Lit Lvl. 3-4.((I have also been called a Mirror Lit. for the new members)) Examples: Link with a few different lvled posts.

THE PEOPLE - Lit. Lvl 4
Kawari Taizu: [PM] Me? Roleplaying? We go together like Peas and carrots. I love literate roleplays, and most of the time do female characters, but trying to convert to both genders. I’m also learning to create and play more characters. Baby steps. I like to do roleplays that come from a series, like a show or book of some sort. I’ve been itching for a Maximum Ride or Eragon roleplay lately. I also enjoy fantasy roleplays, but I can be picky on my topics. I’m not much of a sci-fi ‘robot wars’ sorta gal, nor am I one for unoriginal plots like forest roleplays or the dreaded Twilight roleplays. I’d rather take a bullet through my head, thank you. I like fighting, and lots of blood, so I guess I prefer violence, too. Also: wolf roleplays. RP Lit Lvl.: Really, I prefer 4 to 5, but I can do 3. Examples: Fäтê : [{Tora}][{Kazan}] : Avatar: The Last Airbender .:tRoUbLe:.
Stargaze Assumptions: [PM] Well, I usually do rpgs that seem to be interesting and succesful. Usually vampires and literate rpgs. As long as it is a sort of worked out story line, literate and has a good story; it works perfectly for me. RP Lit Lvl. 4-5 Depending on the rpg. Examples: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/series-related-miscellaneous-role-play/sleeping-eternity-institution-a-vampire-school-rp-accepting/t.48785267_1/
I Kuro I: [PM] Ello' My name's Kuro. I've had a long long history of roleplaying that dates back before gaia was around. I started rping a long time ago when I played allot of DnD with my budds. A little later, I started playing Gaia in the late months of 03. I am good around all types of roleplaying, but mostly Rp fights, in which I have only lost 4 times since 2001. I have Three RPCs I use allot; Kuro, An Elvish Samurai, Rashoman, The shadow mage, and Flint, A steampunk that is always the first to ask a stupid question. after all of my experience, I would have to rate myself a 4 My posts are to-the-point and Literate, but I'm too lazy to post a huge cluster of paragraphs unless its a fight, where I will only use the most detail I can. RP Lit Lvl. 4, Examples: Yew Tree Chapter One. | Yew Tree Chapter Two. | The Lemurain Forest. | Samurai Village
Siblix: [PM] I am an advanced-literate writer. I can usually get up to about four paragraphs (more on a good day) with 5-10 paragraphs depending on the detail I put into it. You have to keep me interested otherwise I will become slow with replying. I also have a life (at times) and I can't always be on. I absolutely adore fantasy, action, romance, etc role plays. I only play with real people, never anime or drawings - that is unless I am using a werewolf, dragon, etc. I am capable of playing hetero characters aswell as yaoi pairings. I usually enjoy playing male characters than female, depending on the role. I love plot twists and dramatic happenings. I love to keep things interesting for the writers aswell as the readers. RP Lit Lvl.: * * * * Examples: Test Forum , One x One
anime_tomboi: [PM] Hello. Call me Anime or Tai. Anyway, getting to what matters. I've been roleplaying for only something along the lines of three years, probably two of those years being consistent posting on a designated thread. Since size matters, my posts are never less than three paragraphs unless my partner is putting in less than is reccommended. (In other words, I like detail.) I can play boy or girl, stoic and aloof personalities or bubbly, wide-eyed dispositions. Species is not a problem as long as I know what it is. As far as the aforementioned extends, however... If your thread has the word "neko" or "kitsune" in it anywhere, I politely ask you not contact me. Also, while I'm at it, I don't really like school roleplays. PLOTS ARE MY FAVORITE. I don't like having to deal with huuuge amounts of background, so I like fresh roleplays. Sometimes I try to take a crack at the evil characters, but I'm soft. I will try my best if I have to, though! Fail. I love action and romance, even though writing romance makes me feel kind of embarrassed. I don't mind doing yaoi / yuri, as lon as it's clean. I hate cliches. Not everyone's parents can be dead, sorry. I love DETAIL. Incidentally, the hardest parts of roleplaying for me personally would be: one, working with material I don't want to work with. If I don't like what's happening, or if my peers are making replying difficult for me, I am less inclined to continue. Two, and the previous leads right here; Consistency. By far the most difficult thing for me is staying involved. Occasionally I drop off the face of the earth to have a life, but aside from that it is mostly forgetfulness. Open to group / 1 x 1 / thread roleplays if you so choose. RP Lit Lvl. Really, it depends on what you give me to work with. I mirror post length / quality, but with motivation I will modestly assume a four. Examples: Twisted Vines - I start at the post I linked to, username "Hale."
i came buckets: [PM] i came buckets has been roleplaying since she joined Gaia, which has been a few years now. She is obviously a girl but does not always roleplay as one. She plays males as well. There are a lot of things Buckets, what you may call her, will roleplay. But, to make things easier, she will make a list of the things she won't do. No series related roleplays unless original characters are being used. She will not roleplay over PMs but will be willing to with a little persuasion. She is limitless and loves gore, violence, romance, mystery, sci-fi and sometimes fantasy. She loathes Twilight and etc. so don't dare ask. Bucket tends to love everyone she meets and is very friendly, even to people who seem harsh. Yaoi isn't her favorite thing, but she is willing to do it. Hetero and yuri are always LOVED. Send her a PM with the link in it and maybe she'll join. She normally isn't picky. RP Lit Lvl. 4.5-5+ Examples: Un&&Deux&&Trois
0 l2 E 0 {PM} I've roleplayed for roughly a year, give or take. I have my strong points, those being school and the likes, but I'm always up to new challenges. I've found a new love for spy and/or hero-versus-villain. I tend to hang around mild roleplays, because if they move too fast, I'll spontaneously burst into purple flames. Due to the fact that I have a life, I'm unable to post everyday, so strict ruling will drive me away. Any roleplay suits me, but I have some topics I refuse to attempt. Those include, but are not limited to: Series-related, Twilight, vampires/werewolves, et cetera, et cetera. A little note, I recycle my characters, thus meaning that you could kill them a million times, but they will be in future roleplays. {RP Lit Lvl} Four to Five {Examples} [Secrets of the Feuding Agencies]
adorkableheart: [PM] I started role playing a little after I joined Gaia. Admittedly, I started out as a one-liner loser. Thankfully I have never used asterisks in my life and I never will. I view them as a really vulgar way to explain something. I started out with school setting role-plays but I became bored with them fast. I am growing tired of all the vampires, slave, and werewolf RP's on the rise. But if the plot is really interesting and well thought out (and if it's literate) I will consider joining one of them. But as I kept joining RP's my writing improved a lot. In role play and in real life haha. Now, because I am really literate with my posts, I won't join an RP unless it is at least semi-literate. I have no preference over girls and guys and I've used them both equally. My favorite thing to do in a RP is cause drama. it could be some small random thing like a panic attack or something big like a kidnapping. I enjoy making my characters swear and I enjoy a good bloody fight. The only thing I ever do on Gaia is RP so send me a PM sometime. I'm up for any kind of story! RP Lit Lvl. 4-5 Examples: School of the Fallen Royale Academy Hells War With My Reality Supercity Our Rainbow Minds
L a d y L i t e r a t e: [PM] I've roleplayed for about five years now, and have grown from asterisks and five words sentences to detailed paragraphs and explained scenarios. I've experienced the acceptings and rejections, learning become literate with the examples that I read through over and over, trying to discover the trick to those novel-like posts. And of course, I discovered that the idea was detail. Pay attention to your co-player's writing, look for the adjectives and synonyms that they used in place of kindergarten vocabulary. Five years ago: I saw the fat black walk by me. Now: Glancing down the darkened path that lay before me under the cover of night, I could just barely make out a feline's obese silhouette, wobbling past on stubby paws. RP Lit Lvl.: 4-5, based on Quality over Quantity. Examples: `мαкe м e м σ я ι e ѕ ωιтн м e!
The Dork of Earl: [PM] I do virtually any genre (except slave RPs. *Facedesk*). I normally try to match my length to others around me. I tend to Roleplay boys more often than girls, but I try to mix it up. My characters are very diverse and I try not to use the same idea twice. I've been writing seriously and roleplaying since about January, but I have advanced quickly. I do not do roleplaying guilds and I dislike 1x1. RP Lit Lvl. 4-5, though posts may be long or short depending on other people. Examples: [Undead Heart] (Bottom post) [Blood Through Bone] (Top post) [Against All Odds] (Third from bottom)
Unknown-Figure1 [PM] I joined Gaia back in late '05 on my account A-T. I started out doing what would be identified as "asterisk roleplay" in towns. I gradually overcame this phase and began to produce what might be identified as a three. By this time, I feel I'm at a four because if there's an active plot, I can make a good solid two paragraphs. RP Lit Lvl. 4 Examples: The majority of my roleplay now-a-days is in a Hidden Guild so a link won't work. I hope this sample roleplay works though...
It was the middle of noon. Alex ran into the beginning of what would look like an open field. His normally well-kept hair was severely unkempt. His clothes were badly scorched. Parts of his right arm were charred down to his fingertips. He placed his unharmed left hand onto his smokey forehead. "Damn this! What the hell caused that explosion back there?" Alex uttered to himself as he looked over his shoulder. The inferno long behind spewed smoke into the atmosphere. Alex slowly turned his head forward once more and collapsed into the prairie's tall grass.
Asphyxion: [PM] Roleplay, for me, was never limited to Gaia. AOL, IM, AIM, even notebooks passed around at school, whatever way it could be done, it was. A literate player, borne at the age of nine. Since that day and age, I've been playing characters of all assortments and demand the best out of the players I find myself entangled in a storyline with. Often, I'll collaborate a thread or two of my own storylines, all of which resemble a futuristic depiction of either cyberpunk or something along those lines - although I've been notorious for bending to the will of any play partner I've come across. Male, female, beast, immortal, whatever the vessel of my creativity may be, I'll play. Although, in my own interests, I tend to stick to plots with abnormal tendencies and characters with bouts of "insanity" about them. Most of my characters are oddities in themselves. In any case, any play is worth a shot.. if you can deliver, of course. RP Lit Lvl. - I'd have to say a five. Although, willing to .. possibly go down to a 4.5. Examples: Sorry it has to be so.. obnoxiously not contained to an URL. I haven't joined anything yet.. (It's also not the entirety of my post.. or else it would take up quite a lot of space. So I cut it apart and gave a taste.)
Bagged bottle in hand, fingers released the grip on the paper that encased the reason behind the intoxication in the air, forcefully tossed through the atmosphere by the fan that loudly churned somewhere in the room. In any other situation, one would not be taken aback to see the being sprawled out on his back in the middle of his old room, appendages spread as far as they could go with far off eyes tracing the contours of the ceiling. But in this case, it was a little off, the scent that normally stained the man contorted into something of a nose-wrinkling, tasteless, sour smell that reflected a mirror image behind dull ceruleans. He had come back to see what he had left here, knowing that Chasity had not even dared to move anything in his room since his leave, and knew he'd come across things from his earlier years. While searching, he had simply laid down in the middle of the floor, and found comfort in simply that. The much sweeter smell of something else mingled in the far end of the hallway, where he knew better than to tread, even given the situation that he had put himself into. He had come back to this place, this hell hole, this memoir of everything in his past for no other reason than to be there. From the place where relationships were born, broken, and regenerated, he found no familiarity with the place now. It was an empty shell of what it used to be, and the remnants of laughter and carvings in the staircase railing long since faded.
Ravirin: [PM] I've only started roleplaying recently, but I've been writing for years. As for my characters, they can range from excitable to calm and all shades in between.I like to accentuate the various addictions, shortcomings and idiosyncrasies that make characters believable. I prefer to pick the 'un-loved' side. As the case may be in a current roleplay, I'm much more apt to be part of the government party who is deemed 'evil', than the 'heroes' who are running away. RP Lit Lvl. 4.5 Examples: I didn't create these, but I've posted in them: [x][x][x]
Sleeb: [PM] I've been role playing in chat-rooms since I was 14, I started out in the AOL Chats(the world of Rhy'Din). There I godmodded and n00bed out until I learned the rules. I play Dungeons & Dragons, I have since age 20, and I love plot, though I'm the player type, not the game master. I'm willing to adhere to any rules as long as they are just. I Don't like Fandom role plays, though I'll play in the Hogwarts world if we're all OCs. I like long, luscious literate role plays, especially active ones. I can type as many paragraphs as you want as long as I don't get writer's block. I usually have a hidden background for my character that yours has to find out. I don't usually get flowery with words to the point of needing a dictionary because it takes me a bit longer to write. I prefer group RPs, but OnexOne won't kill me. I play a female 90% of the time. RP Lit Lvl. 4 Examples: My Role Play Search Thread, The S.S. Hersperus
Da Burner123 [PM] Well, what is their to say? Like most anyone I started out as the asterisk using beginner that the most of us did. However, I have blossomed into the paragraph using, literate fellow that everyone eventually becomes. Right now I'm not in any RPs as I've been real busy. Now I my only rolepaying project is currently the revival of a guilds rolplaying sub-forum, which I'm currently heading. RP Lit Lvl. Somewhere between 4 and 5 Examples: My only project
Kakoku: [PM] Do you mean a biography of a roleplay character, or a biography of my roleplaying? If you meant the first... Kura was born in the Northern water tribe, and was taught simple healing waterbending at age 6. The males' waterbending interested her quite a bit, and she always wanted to learn their fighting moves. When her mother caught her taking peeks at her brother training in his class, she scolded her, but that only made her thirst more to learn how to fight with waterbending. Her brother and father were sent to fight in the war, but only her father returned after many years. The war ended, and news came that her brother had been killed by the fire nation, which made Kura despise the firebenders. Now more than ever she wanted to learn to fight, thinking she could get revenge for his death. She said farewell to her parents, and left the Northern island for Ba Sing Se. If you meant the second... I joined my first roleplay in Feb 22, 2009. It was a cafe roleplay. I made my first roleplay in Jun 18, 2008, but it failed miserably because I didn't know how to roleplay back then. All of my roleplays so far have failed because of other user's inactivity, but I have two that are currently active. RP Lit Lvl.: 4.5 Examples: One Avatar roleplay and a vampire-like roleplay.
Taxiplease: [PM]Taxi's been role playing practically as long as she's been able to write.^^ Online, tabletop, larps: I've got an abundance of experience, and have been told many a time I'm quite an exciting role player due to my ability to make quirky, unique characters and exciting new additions to the plot-line. I'll role play just about anything that promises lots of fun and excitement, but I preferr something with some measure of fantasy in it. No plot's too weird, complicated, or foreign for me, so, go ahead and try me! smile RP Lit Lvl. 4.5—I like long, detailed replies, but I think what the words say are more important than how pretty they are. ^_^ Examples: None, as of now. As soon as I get my laptop back, I'll dig up an intro or two and make a nice thread.^^
Ehyss: [PM] I have been RP'ing since... 6 years ago? I used to do chat-based RP's and when Gaia Online came out I did RP's through that. I agree with this guild's mission simply because I have found myself without very many partners to rp with who are of the same caliber as myself. I like to RP a broad spectrum of male and female characters, whether it be the cool, collected playboy that all the girls swoon for or the 13 year old geek with the face that resembles a mine field. I have done several RP's but I really prefer original story lines and a fellow role-players who contribute to the story-line and evolution of the RP, not just filler posts. RP Lit Lvl.: 4.5 Examples: Sorry, don't have any examples. But i'll submit a sample paragraph if you would like 3nodding
liz9696 [PM] I role play wolf, gifted, and well pretty much anything. RP Lit Lvl. I think I would be a 4... Examples: Sorry don't have one at the moment... Giachianeo [PM] I've been Roleplaying for around three years, and have seen a lot of original Roleplays. However, anime based roleplays are usually something I keep at arms length. I'm always open to suggestions though. I do not have Word, so I don't get the benefit of spell check. It constantly pesters me that, wherever I go, if I screw up while writing a paragraph, I get kicked. RP Lit Lvl. 4, but possibly 5 if I had Word. Examples: A short chapter I wrote a while back.
RIDICULOSITi [PM] Roleplaying was, for me, discovered right here at Gaiaonline. I had never roleplayed before finding this website before my friend told me about it, and admittedly it wasn't for roleplaying that I created an account but after having curiously clicked on the link that led me to the wonderful world of literary excellence that is Barton Town here on gaia allowed me to write and interact with people in a way I'd never done before. My writing has always been pretty decent, literate, punctuation, grammar, but being a roleplayer has taught me and inspired me from the examples set by so many other people to really pay attention to things like detail, character relationships and interaction and following the plot each and every different roleplay has. I don't mind roleplaying for male or female characters and I am willing to give anything a chance and go out of my comfort zone and try something new if need be. I like to think I am flexible, adventurous and creative enough to role with the punches. I like Naruto-themed roleplays too, as you can see in my examples. So give me all you've got: if I like the plot, if it's interesting enough I'll definitely join. But I am very conscious of how you go about creating a roleplay, it has to be well thought out and detailed. RP Lit Lvl. I would say a 5 but that would be immodest and not true for every single day for the length of all my posts- it's life, 'ya know? So otherwise a 4-ish. Examples: The user the INFINITYdrive is one of my other, now abandoned, accounts and this is the one I use now. U N I T Y | U N I T Y 2 | Akatsuki's Comeback | A Bloody Engagement | Naruto: A new time | The Legion of Super Dudes
Faina Devoncroix [PM] I have been RPing for a really long time, I fear if I give away how many years I'll feel old. I joined in September of 2006, on another account, this is my second one that I am constant on. I have almost perfected character over my years of RPing, I hope to bring her into the guild and allow her to grow more. I am constant and reliable at replying to posts, I am never a day's post behind anything, I am always on top of things. RP Lit Lvl.: Personally I believe I'm at a four. I never make any spelling mistakes, and if I do they're far and rare. I always write more than one liners, and I always try to include others in my post instead of leaving others in the dust. I always include emotions and feelings, as well as others. Examples: I am Silver I am unsure of the two other links, as they are in either hidden or private guilds. Faina Devoncroix. Last two posts are mine.
Reiku Alche: [PM] I have been roleplaying on and offline for about three years, so I have some experience under my belt. I am willing to join any kind of roleplay, as long as it is interesting enough. I play mostly male characters, but I can and will play female characters depending on my mood. I really enjoy role plays with a fantasy or science fiction setting, but I tend to avoid overdone scenarios. I try to be as active as I can, but I do have off weeks, so please cut me some slack. Also, I prefer group roleplays to one on one, but that's just how I roll. RP Lit Lvl. 4 Examples: I do not have any examples at the moment. However, I shall do my utmost to shine.
Insane Mokona: [PM] I'm hardly new at roleplaying. Once I join a roleplay I am interested in, I am fairly dedicated. I also put forth much effort into my characters and I'm always trying to improve my roleplaying. I like to RP as both female and male characters, though I usually stick to female because I think I don't know how to RP as a guy very well. I'm fairly picky about grammar and spelling (Towards myself and others), though one or two mistakes in a post are okay. However, I am easily turned away from a roleplay by a post mangled with laziness. I am open to many different genres, though I typically join fantasy/anime/video game roleplays. It's not likely that I will join a semi-literate roleplay, but you never know. ^_^ 1 x 1 RPs are okay, but I'd like to see a roleplay sample first. I am picky about the quality of my partner's roleplaying, so I am likely to reject an offer of a 1 x 1 RP. I dislike romantic RPs and slave RPs. ("Eww, cooties-" *Ackhem* >_> ) I am also not very fond of sci-fi, high school, real life, and RPs with an apocalyptic setting, but if it is a good RP, there is a chance I will join. I won't RP as a character I didn't create myself. I'm not semi-literate and I'm definitely not elite, but I think I'm okay. :3 RP Lit Lvl. A little above 4, but not quite a 5 in quality. I'm diligent in grammar and spelling. Examples: [KH RP sample (Okay)] [Pokemon RP Sample (In my opinion, it's better than the KH sample)] If asked, I will write a new RP sample. ^_^
Syus: [PM] Oh, my. A bio for my RP'ing? Hurr. Um, right. I started in 2004, I'm an oldie!, at the level of 0.5. Yes. 0.5. Anyhow, I started there and slowly worked up to where I am now using many, many, different kinds of RP's. Original, Anime, Chatroom, everything. Started with Anime, went to Reality/Original, then to Chats, and now I generally do a mosh-posh of it all. Especially now. I'm, at the very least I hope, a five in my writing ability-- though I have a tendency to make little notes that I swear break the 4th wall. RP Lit Level: 4.5 - 5 / Mirror Examples: Ones near the end are more what I do now if I'm motivated
Azilie Sadei: [PM] I've been roleplaying since middle school. I started with D&D 3.5 and simple 'pass the notebook' rps that spanned months. After that, I moved on to Whitewolf (Exaulted and Orpheus respectively), 4.0 D&D and freeform rp in one of the largest rp communities in the program Furcadia. I'm a total dork when it comes to writing and roleplay: I Larp, participate in S.C.A. practices, am a practicing martial artist, all of which are things I bring into my roleplay. I'm a research junkie and a detail whore, to put things mildly. Most of my characters are female, the roleplay's I participate in are based more in fantasy genre's (Early Renaissance/ 1525 to Modern Fantasy) than anything else. I like detail, realsm and believability, 1x1 or group rp, though I prefer avoiding smut related stories. I'm not into slavexmaster stuff unless it's plot oriented in some believable fashion, and I refuse to do kink stuff. Vampires and Lycanthropes need to follow Bram Stoker or Norse/European/ Greek canon respectively. Twilight is a no can do for me, and while I like certain anime/ manga series, I'd prefer keeping off of fandoms if I can help it. RP Lit Lvl. 4 - 5 Examples: I don't exactly have examples of my roleplay via Gaia as I sort of rediscovered this account recently, however, I can proved links to fairly detailed characters that I've created. Azilie Ryld character Site Jennifer Requiem Wright character site RP details in Profile
Koneko Suya-Suya: [PM] I started RPing way back when I had first gotten AOL, RPing in various chat rooms and having fun. Before finding gaia, I had always RPed in chat rooms (upgrading to AIM). Then I found gaia and have never gone back. So that's more than... 10 years RPing =3 RP Lit Lvl. **** Examples: [1] [2]
[.Redemption.]: [PM] Name's Alex (female), I'll try and make this concise. I RP via PMs and use IMs for chatting/planning. I have no tolerance for ditching and prefer to talk out issues or start a new RP if all else fails. I sometimes have multiple characters so orientation and gender may vary with them, though I play a het female main and thus want a male partner. As far as what I will and will not RP, I'm not a fan of MxM, FxF, Anime, Manga, fetishes, everyday life. I enjoy Some fandoms (ask), Medieval, Fantasy (Vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, elves, magic in general), Modern, American Rev., Wild West, Colonial America, Renaissance to the Victorian era, Mythology, Supernatural, Antiquity, Arthurian Britain. Things like vikings, arranged marriages, witch hunts, crusades, knights, assassins, and a few others are quite intriguing. :] RP Lit Lvl: 4-5. I average 4-8 paragraph introductions and 2+ for replies, depending on what I'm given. Coherent, descriptive replies with interesting characters and development are loved. I'm a fan of tension, drama, and conflict. Examples: Here is one of my latest introductions - [x]
Blissful Nightz [PM] 16 french and enjoy engaging in thought provoking discussions that can occur through RP's. RP Lit Lvl. I'd say 4.5 Examples: The dull thumping of the rain echoed a chant, each time it struck the walls of his shelter, from the liquid hazard. One such as himself, was accustomed to the ever shifting form of nature that was depicted on this location. It was not a disturbance, but rather the gift one embraces, a display of virility in the land. The quivering flames painted the walls in ever moving blackness, as if a creature lurked upon it's surface. Yet again, his focus remained constant, lifting his arm periodically, watching the sleeve fall backwards, as he moved towards the unknown contents of the book that lay before him. In such a state his focus was similar to the hunter perched on the ridge, steady handed, gazing down the rabbit it would soon strike with its arrow. Through habit he had developed this approach towards his studies, that lay far beyond solely the physical and spiritual realm. The world of the mental conscious was of greater importance as it could always dictate how one would fare in the physical and spiritual world. Those lacking the mental capabilities would simply fall by the wayside as Darwinist played out. Despite all his focus his mind did wander elsewhere, nothing the appearance of a stranger to his enchanted land. His head shifted outwards as he turned his neck, seeing in the distance the shape of the figure that was headed directly in his location.
It was not unsurprising that the individual would approach this abide at is what the only shelter that lay within this environment, no other had ever reside here besides himself, therefore no other individual had known this as a home. Attention completely drawn to the figure his eyes watched the shifting molecular structure. As the legs moved the energy expanded within those locations to provide the faculty for one to be able to walk. Each stride was short and rapid, allowing him to note the rather short legs that were a piece of the overall short frame. Unfocusing the eyes he noticed the distinct colors that stood out, showcasing the eclectic nature of this individual. The uniform hugged the frame, opening slightly at the chest displaying the full curvature and not leaving much to the imagination. One just needed to look at the fish-net stockings to know that she was not your conventional soldier. He did not mind the appearance as he himself did not portray himself in a conventional manner either.
iChinaaaDoll [PM] I RP in most genres all but anything dealing with Harry Potter. RP Lit Lvl. : 4-5 Examples: http://victoryroadpkmn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=powerplant (I'm Nobuko)
Zenour [PM] The name's Zenour, and I've been roleplaying for nine years now. I enjoy playing the role of a guardian or someone that is protecting someone or something. I also enjoy playing the silent one and the one who worries way to much. I'm fond of medieval, school setting, apocalypse, royalty, and general fantasy roleplays. I am not a fan of gore or zombies. One thing you should know is I roleplay to get away from reality for a little bit, hence my hatred of using real life (actual people) pictures. Pirates and Ninjas are ok, I'll play their role if and when I feel like it. Same thing goes for vampires and werewolves. If you think I'll be a good addition to your roleplay feel free to PM me! THE PEOPLE - Lit. Lvl 5
Lady Syrik: [PM] I have yet to come up with a successful male character - though, I haven't put much effort behind one. Generally speaking my characters tend to have shadowed histories that are rich and intense. Depending on my mood, I'll either completely reveal the history, or allow it to leak over the course of the plot according to situations presented, people encountered, etc. I mainly enjoy magic-ridden RPs, though I'm also a fan of post-apocalyptic natured RPs, and slaying zombies. It must be duly noted that I absolutely cannot stand technology or anime RPs. Much respect to those who do, but I'm sorry, I consider it fluff and can't get into it. Technology RPs don't interest me as I'm not so interested in technology itself that I would ever consider it a hobby. Give my muse enough stimulation and I will pour paragraphs into your RP. RP Lit Lvl. 5. Not boasting, believe me, I've written some CRAP. But, I write paragraphs, and make them as grammatically accurate as possible. Examples: I actually don't have viable RP examples to list here, but can provide one upon request; I tend to require props or be required to provide one before one strikes me.
Blood Magdelene: [PM] I like all kinds of RPGs as long as they are thought provoking, imaginative and have a damn good story line which makes you really want to get your hands dirty and type that long, descriptive paragraph. 'One-or-Two-sentences' reply type RPGs don't hold any interest for me at all and, in fact, bore me to bits. Also, since I can only post on certain days at certain times, I prefer a not very demanding RPG... perhaps a minimum of 1 post per week? RP Lit Lvl. 5 Examples: Magdelene sat atop her bed with her laptop warming her lap. Her fingers hovered above the keys as she struggled to form a reply in her mind. What was she to write? Honestly, she had no idea but managed to force hands to move gracefully across the keyboard typing out all sorts of rubbish that flowed out of her imagination.
Magdelene was almost through paragraph three when, suddenly, she heard a strange sound. It sounded like a tap-tap-tapping against her door only instead it came from underneath her bed. Curious but afraid (although she wouldn't dare admit it), she bent over her bed and slowly, inch by inch, lifted the hanging sheet.
"Uagh!" She cried in both horror and shock as she glimpsed the source of the creaking just as she somersaulted off her bed and landed on her head...
xXxKai-KunxXx: [PM] I'm new to Gaia unfortunately however my skills in RP are very much refined, I've rped on myspace before were grammar and sentence structure is key, if anyone wishes to rp with me I am willing to do so, I wont disappoint. RP Lit Lvl.5 Examples: All on myspace but have been deleted i used to make posts that were close to 10-15 paragraphs.
Monseiur-Maestro-648: [PM] Originally as an illiterate an oblivious member of the byond world, Maestro had been of the age of ten or eleven once he discovered roleplaying. He and his twin sibling used to play BST [Brood Star Tavern], went missing in action for a couple of months, most likely during the summer, and reappeared in time for the Remake of the game. There, it was where Maestro in actuality learned of roleplaying. He went from simple, four lettered words and single lines, to a formatted post so beautiful it made you wonder. Though, not all the layouts he uses are his. He does source, also, the providers of his posts, since he's made many friends here on Gaia.
Oh, speaking of Gaia, he became a member during the summer of 2006, three years after gaia had come out. At times, though, he wishes he was there during the creation and first year of Gaiaonline. ; D
Now at the age of fifteen, he's involved in a number of roleplays, most of them semi-literate, the rest literate. He has also had his share of roleplays, but most have died on him. D 8 Maestro roleplays anything that you might ask of him, as long as you give him some information, a few images, and a time frame of the roleplay. I'm your guy! : D RP Lit Lvl. 4.999~ Examples: Links are located on profile page.
Benjamin Bradt: [PM] I am a collegiate English teacher, writer, and a general dreamer. I have been roleplaying for sixteen years in a group setting, spanning many different genres and multiple forms of interaction. I am decidedly most comfortable with novella-style roleplays (past tense, minimum three to five sentences). RP Lit Lvl. I am easily capable of a 5, but I usually hover around 3-4 out of the habitual reigning in of my 'Grammar Nazi' tendencies. Examples: Meat for the Butcher (Zombie Survival RPG) BrassWorks (SteamPunk RPG) Tales of Epoch City (Superhero / Supervillain RPG) Frontier Defense Corps (Military Fantasy RPG) Persians Rise Again (Modern Supernatural RPG)
Great_Aku_Ha: [PM] I'm the one to take the odd jobs in a Roleplay. Need someone cleaning a car or running a store? That's me. Need a villain? I'm your man. Need heroes? I'm there too. Need a leader? You've got one! Also, I roleplay as either sex. I have no prefference to RPs. Having said that, I will not participate in a Roleplay that I deem unacceptable v. my invisble list of morals. This can range from a coupling I dislike or a story that I do not find well-put-together, to complete and utter Yaoi. While I can work optimally at just about anything, I am highly knowledgeable in Gundam and Naruto Roleplays, and could even be considered an asset (toot-toot). I always use full grammar and punctuation. The Epic English Textbook is my friend. I may also RP in several languages, particularly Japanese. RP Lit Lvl. 5 Examples: Forgotten Village
Cosmic_Castaway [PM] Roleplaying is the meat of my Gaia life. It is one of the only things I enjoy on here, matter of fact. My characters are created in a manner of thinking that revolves around the questions of "What haven't I done in a character before?", "What does this RP need?" and "What can I do to fulfill both of the previous questions?" I try to not throw any monkey wrenches in the character through the middle of the story, because sudden personality twists or revelations are a form of illiteracy to me. Characters come naturally to me, but I keep to doing only one character per RP. There is only one RP where this has not been the case, and said second character was brought in because said RP was dying, so I decided to spice the plot up. So far, all my characters have been males, but ask me to do a female, and I will consider it. I am able to write in a variety of threads, though I refuse to do illiterate or semi-literate RPs. At the moment, I am only in series-based RPs, but I would love to do something original. If you ask me to RP in a topic I'm unfamiliar with, such as a video game I have not played, rest assured, I will do my homework. I am a fan of horror (very picky about it though), western, and science-fiction primarily, but fantasy is definitely an option; I have yet to encounter an RP I have joined that I did not enjoy. RP Lit Lvl. 5, but if you don't give me anything to work off of, I'm shot down to 4. Examples: [Star Wars: Requiem In Darkness], [Resident Evil: The Unborn (Revisited)] I would have more, but the rest are located in private guilds. So sorry.
ConfirmDeletion: [PM] Hm, what to say? I have been rping for several years now and wrote long before I stepped into rping. I love participating in a good storyline and am always excited to join new things. More often than not, especially in the last two months of summer, I have time to post regularly. A few times a year due to school activities I am unable to remain regular however. As for the rps I have done, its everything from slice-of-life to romance (straight and yaoi) to fantasy to fan fics to the ancient world and to war. I will play both males and females of any age and race, personalities are relatively open as well but I do best with playing someone on the side of good to say generally. Evil can be done though. I have yet to come across a skill or condition that I have had trouble playing. I will join anything from 1x1 to mass member (though nowhere past 20, too confusing after that). RP Lit Lvl. is 5 in my head but due to slight laziness I am a 4 XD The better the rpers around me the better I will post. Examples: {¤ªvø!ЪñŒ±Ã ßø¥'§ Løv£¤} {More Than Human} {A Blessing? Or a Curse?}
RyomaKun1992 [PM] I'm a 17 year old male who began rping almost two years ago, mostly stemming from a move from my old home, where I had alot of friends, to my new home, where I knew, and continue not to know anyone. At first, I was about basic, maybe higher than a typical person starting to rp, but soon my rping style gained its own leverage, and now I can say I'm a much better rper. What I play changes depending on my moods, but I love developing characters, especially over several rps. They're usually strange characters, in the darker sense, or heroic types, or whatever. I think I've been almost anything. I also don't mind, and enjoy playing females, though I'm straight, not even questioning such a thing. Think of it as a male writer writing about a female character. I'll join almost anything, but it must involve the right amount of romance, above all else. RP Lit Lvl. 4 I'm good, I guess, but not perfect. I've seen rping perfection, and I'm nowhere near. Examples: I have rped on this account, but I would rather not give examples. I want to be judged on my work now, not thinks from the past.
regurgitated_pocky [PM] Okay, here goes. I first started roleplaying around January, I believe. I wasn't particularly good at anything, but over time I became better. I mainly use men for my characters, most of them being very cruel and unsympathetic. Although, when I do use girls/women for my characters, they all differ in personalities. I am very picky about which roleplays I join. I usually apply in only school/university roleplays, that being my strong point. My weak point are elemental or magical RPs. I prefer doing roleplays with a friend, ll L a c e y ll for example, because I tend to need someone to ask questions to. My idols are Jerry Spinelli and Anne Rice. RP Lit Lvl. 4-5 Examples:[Sunrise Complex] [Mirror Mirror] [Hidden Sunrise][RavenWood Institute]
IratusAngellus: [PM](formerly Prion.) Just a normal 25 year old male working days on a construction site. But at night, this man is known to go through a rather incredible transformation. That of the Literate Roleplayer!
With his super-power abilities; Imagination, literary arts, grammatical aptitude and quirky character designs; Iratus has the ability to take on almost any role! Be it fantasy, reality, science fiction, et cetera.
RP Lit Lvl. I want to say 5, but I also like to be modest. So, maybe a 4? I'll let you decide. Examples: None as of right now, sadly. Just made this new persona last night. But I've been on Gaia Online as my previous persona, Prion, for many years now. Please do not hesitate to look up the profile.
Techs [PM] I've been on Gaia since 2005 and was the previous leader of The Hellsing Organization. Haven't been on Gaia since 2007 so looking for a place to crash and meet new people again. RP Lit Lvl. 5 Examples: Right now I can't include examples.Since it will take a lot of time to find my past character's roleplays. But my past character was SlayerOfHeart
IDeidaraIKun: [PM] I enjoy RP'ing. I have done it on other websites before, even games such as World of Warcraft, which I had RP'd on for months. I would enjoy joining this guild becuase I haven't RP'd in a while, and I would love to get back into it. RP Lit Lvl. 5 Examples: I have no examples.
Trina-Bell: [PM] I am a literate role-player, always looking for my next great RP. I enjoy doing almost any genre, as long as my partner is literate as well, and we can both complete a few meaningful paragraphs before we submit posts. I prefer quality over quantity. A few of the genres I like are Harem, mystery, adventure, romance, feudal era, and fantasy.) RP Lit Lvl. (5) Examples: One Two Three
