[1] [Dossier] [Name] Licorice
[Flavor] Cherry Twizzlers
[Gender] Female
[Height] 3' 8"
[Species] Candy
[Likes] Caramel, chocolate bunnies, marshmallows, politeness
[Dislikes] Jellybeans, feeling stupid
[Temporary Home] Gumdrop tree on the edge of the grape soda river
[Background] Licorice is doomed to be lonely and rejected. The only numa to have ever been gifted with a single breeding, she believes she was not gifted but, in fact, cursed by being given Scottie. She prayed day and night to the Marshmallow Swan to grant her but one child so she would have someone to hold and cherish and someone who would keep her company, but Licorice fears the Swan saw her prayer as selfish, thus sending her the hateful child the black numa can't help but love despite her cruelty.
Licorice has a distinct odor which often drives away or simply makes other numas avoid her. She smells like the swamp, a place Candy numas avoid, so they avoid her as well. She also is terrible at flying and would disown her wings if she could, viewing them as nothing but further causes for hardship.

[2] [What's Black, White, and Sweet All Over?]Kieran Kieran tried to convice himself that this was the right thing to do. Licorice seemed like such a nice girl when they first met, so he knew it would be best to go and find her after he had to leave so soon. Even the blue numa's mate, Nalikai, had convinced him to do this. He just didn't want her to get the wrong idea, that was all. Hopefully she wouldn't.
"Ah....Licorice?" He asked the air, looking around, his blue tail swaying at his side. He wsa hopefully near where the others said she lived, so he continued to survey the area, looking for the black and white female numa. "Licorice! It's me, Kieran. I just wanted to stop by after what happened last night. I want to apologize for running off so quick. I was just..hoping I could get to know you better, that's all." Licorice Licorice looked up from where she was drinking from the grape soda river upon hearing her name. She twitched her ears and stood on her hind legs to look around, squeaking when she saw the beautiful blue male from before. "I-I'm over h-here...!" she meekly called, lifting a paw to wave to him as she wrapped her tail around herself for support. She was always so nervous meeting new Numas! What if they did not like the way she smelled? She smelled like the black and red things from the swamp - only Beatrice liked it so far. Kieran Hearing the soft sound of her voice, Kieran quickly padded after the echo, finding the girl very close by. He ran down to the river, smiling sweetly.
"Hello again, Licorice." He sat down next to her, tilting his head slightly in greeting, a smile splitting his lips. "I trust you have been well, hm?" He chuckled and looked out across the flowing river. Licorice "Y-Yes, I've been fine," Licorice stammered in response as she looked down at her feet timidly. She remembered the last comment the blue Numa had given her during their first meeting, and it still caught her by surprise. "Wh-What about you...?" she asked, looking up at him meekly. She was still nearly speechless at how pretty he was though she knew "pretty" was not the right word for a male - still, his blue markings were breathtaking as were his bright horns. If allowed, Licorice could stare at him all day and be perfectly content. Kieran "Me? I've been good, thank you." He nodded idly. "Better now, though, that I know you aren't angry with me, or anything of the sort." He licked the top of a light blue dipped paw.
"I just was worried about the other day, that's all. I had to run off really quickly, and I didn't want it to look like I was rude..." He explained, moving to claw at the grass near the river.

[3] [Smells Like Twizzlers!][ Continued from an in-thread RP ] Licorice Licorice fidgetted her paws as she stared down at them, afraid Beatrice would laugh at the reason. "I...um...I smell funny..." Licorice finally admitted. "Other numas don't seem to like it much...s-so I try to avoid them..."Beatrice "Smell?" Bea's nose was experted beyond most of her abilities as a female. Hearing as well. She came up to the numa and sniffed and then moved to sniff the other's neck. "We all smell different, you smell just as weird as all the other ones I've met. I bet I smell weird too." Bea said with a gentle smile. Licorice Licorice blinked in surprise at that remark. "No, you don't smell funny at all," she protested then sniffed her own paw. "I smell like that stuff from the swamp..."Beatrice Beatrice's paws touched the other fur to hold down as she sniffed. "No. You smell better. I don't smell no good. Bad." She looked at the other then gave a lick to the other's fin located some near the ear.
"You taste like... I dunno. You taste good too! Your yummy!" She said with a bright smile. Licorice Licorice squeaked and could not help but giggle a little - that tickled! "You do too smell good!" she protested, sniffing at Beatrice's cheek since her face was already that close. Licorice hesitated before giving Beatrice's fin a return lick out of curiosity, relaxing more and more by the moment.

[4] [The Sweetest Friends]Beatrice If it wouldn't have been for more pups growing up so suddenly Beatrice would have almost forgotten to give her twizzler friend what she had wanted to give her since valentines day. When she acts usually figured out what valentines meant in the first place. Friendship and then other things that she may not be to exact on.
She bounced out of her house having her little dino almost after her. But she closed the door and from the door she said. "Nopes. Not today. I am meeting up with friend. Yes. Yes." The little Dino rawared in some irritation but he knew that she had her friends and he had his... duckling.
As she bounced off to the hill where she had been sleeping off to as usually. Hoping she'd find one of her friends wondering by. Rather. She wanted her licorice friend to stop by soon. Licorice Licorice squealed as she went rolling head over feet down a hill of coconut flakes, barely avoiding hitting a candy cane on her way down. She yelped when she finally slid to a stop and leapt to her feet to look around frantically, hoping no one saw that humiliating spectacle. Relieved, Licorice started back up the hill only to wince and sit down, glancing back at one of her wings. "Must have rolled on it..." she murmured, licking at the sore spot tenderly. Beatrice Beatrice's ears moved forward. Then back, then to the side hearing what seemed to be a sweet voice. She knew then and there who it was. She got to her paws and bounced away happily to where the voice was coming from.
When she looked. It was as she knew her friend. Since she was the opposite way she sneaked up with her stealthy paws and covered the other's eyes. Licorice "Yeee!" Licorice squealed when she was suddenly blinded, flipping her tail. "Wh-Who's there?" She sniffed the air to try to determine if she knew whoever it was, and her ears perked up at a familiar scent. "Beatrice?" Licorice abruptly forgot about her sore wing, elated that her friend had come to see her again. Beatrice Uncovering the other's eyes she greeted the other with a bright and humble smile. "Yes You guess correct!" She said with a soft and hyped voice. She herself almost squeeled from the experience. She grabbed her arms around the numas petite body and laughed. "I missed yea friend!" She giggled softly. She had really missed seeing friends around for quite a while and especially this one who she knew she was friends with. She wrapped her tail around the other as well.
She was in pure bliss now. Before she forgot she snuggled her paw through her feathers searching then bringing out a sack. She looked at the other numa with her black eyes.

[5] [Chocolate Bunnies and Ghosts]Crime Wings catching her long feathers, pushing her upward as they beat down, sending a soft pulse of wind outward from her inky form. her beaked masked cutting though the air, beady eyes watching the ground for where she was supposed to land.
The grip on her durable black case tightened considerably as she spotted the tree she had fallen out of. She had never shared her findings with anyone before, for as much talk as they did about being interested in her work, no one had never really wanted to take the time to sit down and see exactly what she did. She had just met this Numa Licorice… yeah that was her name, Crime had mistaken the Female for a ghost in the trees, something she was embarrassed about, but was highly surprised that she was not intimidated by Licorice’s presence. Others made Crime uneasy, they always boasted about how much they knew, or went into stories about there own Paranormal experience, trying to out do or impress Crime, something that irked Crime more then anything. Personal experience was not liable evidence of a haunting, all the more proof that showed that they didn’t really care about the true science of what she did. But Licorice, was completely unaware of this kind of science it seemed, or rather innocent to it, it amazed Crime that she didn’t know the tools used for it either, something as simple as a video. she flew on, starting to circle the aria above the tree, drifting slowly downward. Licorice Licorice bounded back to the tree on three legs, her fourth holding two large chocolate bunnies freshly caught. She was extremely excited to see the gorgeous black numa again. She never before thought a black numa could be so beautiful until she saw Crime, and Licorice could only wish she were the same. It was exciting that Crime wanted to be around her too - Licorice felt stupid not understanding this "paranormal" stuff she spoke of, but she was enthusiastic to try. Back at the tree, Licorice moved her blue gaze to the sky and waved when she saw Crime, staring again at the other numa's gorgeous wings. How Licorice wished she could fly too though she doubted she would be such a sight even if she could. Crime Head jerking to the side as she saw Licorice waving at her, unable to return the greeting due to the case in her hands. Making her decent steeper to reach the ground quickly, her wings folded along her back and she flattened the case onto the ground to crouching over it fondly as she lifted her masked face up. Beady eyes trailing down to the two chocolate bunnies in her arms, jerking her head sharply to the side she let out a soft chirp. Fluttering her wings in curiosity. "Craaa. Did not keep you waiting long did I?" she asked hesitantly, not wanting to offend a potential friend. Licorice Licorice shook her head and smiled to the gorgeous numa as she answered, "No, I just got back." She bounded over to the other and timidly offered the largest of the two bunnies, hoping it was sufficient. She grabbed the biggest she could find for her potential friend. "What's that?" the black and white numa asked, peering curiously at the box even as she still held the chocolate bunny above her own head to Crime. Crime Reaching out a paw to the to bunny, blinking down at it for a moment, examining the details. Attention pulled away intently at the next Question, Crime settled the bunny closer, tucking it into her arm and she fidgeted backwards, giving herself room to open the case. "Craaa," she squeaked excitedly. "This had all the best footage and sound files I've gathered from all my investigations." Jerks her head sharply to the side, remembering that licorice didn't know what footage was. Cawing softly as she played with the locks, snapping them open and lifting the heavy hood. "Craaa here," she said gesturing for the other Numa to come around. Shifting over slightly to give the other Numa room to settle next to her, as she ticked a couple of buttons of a stored keyboard. An inky black laptop the same color of her body gleaming within the case. Screen glowing softly as Crime began pulling up files and searching among them, as the while holding the bunny carefully, rather skillfully in the crook of her arm still able to type. A worry starting to surface in her mind "Craaaa.... do you scare easily?" she asked timidly.

[6] [Haunting at the Rainbow Bridge]Crime Crime had set out to the Rainbow bridge early, she took investigations more seriously then anything, so getting everything perfect beforehand was important to her. weighted down with cases of equipment, stacked up on one another on a cart with wheels, this made flying impossible, though she did not complain having to go on foot. one thing did differ on this investigation however... instead of thinking about where the cameras would be set up. or strategy about how she could lure the spirit out for evidence, Crime had found herself wondering if Licorice was really going to show up or not. it had not been to long ago since Crime had met what she could call her friend, and it was really the first time someone had joined her on an investigation... well... the first time she really minded. she was not used to emotions, and found that she was very apprehensive about how this was going to go tonight. Licorice Licorice was already waiting by the bridge for her new friend and had been there all day. Sitting alone was better than putting up with the cruel numa she called her daughter, and not for the first time, Licorice was considering leaving their tree and finding another. She did not like the thought of leaving her daughter and never going back, but obviously, Scottie did not want her around, and staying only brought Licorice grief. The black and white numa let out a miserable sigh where she lay in the grass near the bridge, curled around a small, flimsy basket she had found a long time ago. It was old, small, and was slowly falling apart, but it did what she wanted it to, so she kept it. Currently, it held some colorful, sugar-coated gumdrops and a few marshmallows wrapped in a scrap of a blanket, and atop that parcel were the two chocolate bunnies she caught that morning in preparation for tonight. Licorice sighed again, worried Crime would not show, but as soon as she wondered that, her ears shot up when she heard something - wheels? She lifted her head made heavy by her mood to see where the noise was coming from and what it was. Crime Striding easily up the smooth grass, the soft padding of her feet becoming easier to hear as she stepped onto the path that lead to the Bridge. Head bobbing back and forth softly, in great resemblance to the creature whose mask she adorn. Relaxing herself with the thought that no one would show up tonight, letting herself be ok with it and move on, something she was always very good at. Staring dimly ahead as she got her first glimpse of the bridge. It was not for another moment that Crime spotted something that caused her head to jerk back up, eyes growing wide behind the small holes of her mask, her progress stopping dead on the path. Licorice was already there… actually there. her posture stiff, having made herself to believe that this would be a lone investigation like all of them, having not thought out how she would react to something actually joining her!
Poe shattered the silence with his loud crow, swooping sharply from the sky above Crime, and landing in front of Licorice, eying her sharply before cawing at her again, recognizing her. Licorice Licorice's wings shot straight up when she recognized Poe, and she squeaked in delight, the gloom of her mood abruptly lifting. "Hi!" she chirped, forgetting that Poe could not understand her. "Where is- oh!" Licorice leaped to her feet and rushed over to Crime, surprised at all of the...stuff she had with her. "Do you need help with that?"Crime Poe flapped his wings when he was greeted very shrilly. but other wise remained on the blanket, cocking his head sharply as he peered down at it as Licorice got up to go greet Crime. "CAW" folding his wings back up he stated to peck at the blanket.
Crime continued to stare at Licorice in silence after she had come up, not really registering what Licorice had said until a few moment passed. she had to actually think of how to reply. "Craa," she crowed softly tilting her head as well before she glanced sharply back at the case she had. "Crrr- if you want," she replied, a bit awkwardly.
