Damage Control is my NaNo novel this year but I've been working on the story and the characters since last year... since... that was my first attempt that failed. xD
Most of this is stupid doodlecrap (getting progressively worse down the list) but meh. Also the appearances of characters will shift a lot because they've been evolving on me all year.
Please excuse my inability to draw hands and my tendency to draw mitten or claw-like things and forget to fill them in... >_>
Matilda has an appearance change, by the way. She starts off with long braided hair and both eyes still in her face. Later on in the story, she loses the eye and cuts her hair, as seen in... the majority of these. xD
Ref sheet for Matilda. Drawn mostly so I could BEG FOR ART (and also buy commissions).
Order arm band ref. The phrase on there means "God, Country, Friends" and I chose it because I needed some pretentious-looking Latin somewhere. xD
Matilda really likes sandwiches.
But not with mayo. Lookit that, drawn before I had a character design for Matthias.
Matthias. See also a better version of one of those portraits.
Matilda and Matthias. Their expressions here pretty much sum up their entire relationship. Matilda has both eyes here.
This also does a good job of characterizing them... xD whatever Matthias just did there, DON'T do it.
Matthias looks surprisingly at ease in this one. The little dude down in the corner is Leon, a character that belongs to Topazen.

I wish I could draw like that!
Anyway, awesome art! I laughed at the one where Matthias saves the day with a Sandwich. And the one where he walked in on her changing. That made my think of a manga called Love Hina. xD

The hilarious part is that in the comic storyline (which goes further than I'll make it in NaNo) she does in fact have a love life. With someone just as terrifying (if not more) as her.

Matthias is simultaneously horrified and curious. xD
It'll be posted at this site, eventually. Right now there's only a crappy sample page up. xD I need to take some figure drawing classes and stuff before I feel totally comfortable with undertaking a project this big.
(Plus we keep revising the plot...)
