Name: Angelica Tremaine
Age: 19
Appearance: Silver hair, pale gray eyes, 5’2”, very fair skinned as she doesn’t spend much time in the sun [X] [X]
**as a handicap, her wings are normally too small and weak to sustain flight**
Species: Halfling/Royal Wind/Zephyr
Weapon, if any: Two very large revolvers that she treasures. She is capable of fighting with a bladed weapon but doesn’t carry one on her.
Star of (if any, requires permission): Selene
Abilities (if star provides it): Angela’s ability to exalt as well has how severe her handicap is, are tied into the phases of Neo-Gaea's moon. When the moon nears and is at its peak, her handicap—smaller, vestigial, wings that cannot sustain flight—grows less severe to the point that when she exalts, her wings are fully formed and can sustain flight. However, during new moons, when the moon is at its weakest, she’s incapable of exalting at all. She also tends toward nocturnal habits, being more alert and sharp at night and somewhat sleepy during the day. (Not that she can’t function during the day. She’s simply more inclined to be lazy and keep out of the sun. She’s definitely a night owl).
Angela has the ability to see through and dispel all illusions within a certain radius, which expands and contracts dependent on her relative size. She can increase the area when she exalts due to her wing span. In the end, illusions of any kind do not work on her. She is also more likely to see through metaphoric illusions--someone with ill intentions who approaches her under the 'illusion' of friendship or those who put up masks and illusory fronts to hide their true selves or meant to obscure the truth.
Social status (noble, peasant, middle class, etc): Peasant
Sexual orientation: Straight
Personality: Angela tends to be somewhat stand offish and sarcastic as well as significantly angry in general. This outward shell hides a girl who is intensely insecure and innately caring and compassionate though this side of her rarely shows toward people she doesn't know well. She hates more than anything, to be underestimated due to her size. And has a fierce, quick, and rather violent temper that manifests by frequently hitting people that piss her off and throwing things.
Short background/history: Angela was born to Helene Tremaine, a sky pirate from Cydonia. She was raised mostly in the sky and Cydonia, never knowing her father or anything about him as her mother never spoke of him.
Despite this, Angela has known for some time that she is a Halfling. Her mother died when she was a child, leaving her effectively orphaned and unable to learn anything about her father or his race, leaving an intense curiosity about them in the wake of her death.
Angela left her mother’s crew and struck out on her own, eventually joining up with a group of carefree swindlers crewed aboard a ship lovingly named The Flying Mushroom.
Affiliations (relationships, alignment with various societies, et cetera): First mate of The Flying Mushroom
Anything else:
Angela generally wears goggles or glasses with smoked lenses to hide her eyes. She explains away her white hair by claiming to be albino and keeps her eyes hidden due to their being the wrong shade for a true albino.
Even those on her crew that she’s close to do not know the secret of her heritage.
Her father was of House Zephyr of the Royal Winds and had a short fling with Helene but returned to his people long before he found out Helene was with child. Angela knows nothing about him nor does she know anything about Royal Winds or their Houses.
NOTES:
About Angela's handicap (just so I have consistency) -
For one week of the lunar month (based on Neo-Gaea's moon), Angela's wings are large enough to sustain flight for substantial periods of time. This peaks on the night of the full moon before it begins to wan again. For the sixteen days following and preceding this week Angela's wings are large enough only to help her basically jump/flutter up reasonably tall vertical surfaces or over very short (we're talking in meters) distances. Then for the week surrounding the new moon, her become too small to do much of anything and exalting becomes more difficult. Finally, on the night of the new moon, Angela is completely unable to exalt.
Angela can also be affected by things like lunar eclipses.
