The Flying Mushroom is a somewhat well know but relatively small pirate ship. The ship itself is suspended from a balloon and is generally well armed and very fast.

The crew itself has a reputation for being quite good at swindling others but they don't have a reputation of being especially violent marauders. Most of their pirate work involves smuggling contraband but they have been known to attack merchant vessels and steal the cargo. They don't wantonly kill and destroy but if they will take out those that get in their way.

With the exception of First mate/quartermaster, all of the crew positions are open to other players. The ship is too small to have a large, unweildy crew of generic aeronauts. Everyone on the crew needs a specific function. I'd absolutely love more crew mates but please discuss with me first so we can work out the function of your character aboard the ship.

Positions open:

Captain--during engagements the captain is expected to rise above and help bring victory, but in most other occasions on ship, he is more or less another voting member in the pirate crew.

First Mate/Quartermaster - A pirate crew sometimes had this position as the captain's right-hand man and the one who would assume his role if he were killed in battle or could no longer perform his duties. In fighting, the quartermaster decided what ships were worth it and often led any boarding party, ultimately deciding what loot to keep.

Gunner - A gunner would be the leader of any separate group manning the artillery. His special skill would be in aiming, but he would oversee all weapons functions aboard the ship.

Carpenter/Mechanics - The people charged with maintenance of the wooden and mechanical parts aboard the ship.

Cook- More often than not, a cook would be a disabled pirate who was allowed to stay on ship if he could make food that didn't kill the pirate crew. XD

Surgeon - Yet another highly valued position, surgeons would often be grabbed from crews of captured ships and made to deal with all the medical needs of the crew.

Musicians - Those who could play drums, bagpipes, trumpets, accordions, fiddles, and other instruments were so well liked that they escaped torture if captured by pirates. Yay. Entertainment is always important during boring days in the clouds.

Crewmen - Generic sailors who do the 'dirty work' like hauling cargo around, cleaning and all that boring stuff. They don't have really any other position or purpose than to just do hard work. (Don't need more of these--any new members should have a function in the crew beyond just working and fighting).
